< Mateo 20 >

1 Ecen, comparatu da ceruètaco resumá aitafamilia batequin, cein ilki içan baita arguiaren beguian languile alocatzera bere mahasticotzat.
For the kingdom of the heavens is like a householder who went out with the early morn to hire workmen for his vineyard.
2 Eta languilequin accordaturic dinero batetan eguneco, igor citzan bere mahastira.
And having agreed with the workmen for a denarius the day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 Eta ilkiric hirur orenén inguruän, ikus citzan berce alfer ceuden batzu plaçán.
And having gone out about [the] third hour, he saw others standing in the market-place idle;
4 Eta erran ciecén, Çoazte çuec-ere ene mahastira, eta bide datena emanen drauçuet.
and to them he said, Go also ye into the vineyard, and whatsoever may be just I will give you. And they went their way.
5 Eta hec ioan citecen. Berriz ilkiric sey eta bedratzi orenén inguruän, eguin ceçan molde berean.
Again, having gone out about the sixth and ninth hour, he did likewise.
6 Eta hameca orenen inguruän ilkiric, eriden citzan berce alfer ceuden batzu, eta dioste, Cergatic hemen çaudete egun gucian alfer?
But about the eleventh [hour], having gone out, he found others standing, and says to them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 Diotsate, Ceren nehorc ezpaiquaitu alocatu. Dioste, Çoazte çuec-ere ene mahastira, eta bide datena recebituren duçue.
They say to him, Because no man has hired us. He says to them, Go also ye into the vineyard [and whatsoever may be just ye shall receive].
8 Eta arrastu cenean, erran cieçón mahasti iabeac bere recebidoreari. Dei itzac languileac, eta paga iecéc alocairuä, hassiric azquenetaric lehenetarano.
But when the evening was come, the lord of the vineyard says to his steward, Call the workmen and pay [them] their wages, beginning from the last even to the first.
9 Eta ethorri ciradenean hameca orenen inguruän alocatuac recebi ceçaten dinero bana.
And when they [who came to work] about the eleventh hour came, they received each a denarius.
10 Eta ethorriric lehenéc-ere, vste vkan dute guehiago recebituren çutela: baina recebi ceçaten hec-ere dinero baná.
And when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more, and they received also themselves each a denarius.
11 Eta recebitu çutenean, murmuratzen çuten aitafamiliaren contra,
And on receiving it they murmured against the master of the house,
12 Cioitela, Azquen hauc orembat eguin dié lanean, eta gure bardin eguin dituc, ekarri baitugu egunaren cargá, eta beroa.
saying, These last have worked one hour, and thou hast made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the heat.
13 Eta harc ihardesten çuela hetaric bati erran cieçón, Adisquideá, eztrauät hiri bidegaberic eguiten: ez aiz dinero batetan enequin accordatu?
But he answering said to one of them, [My] friend, I do not wrong thee. Didst thou not agree with me for a denarius?
14 Har eçac hire dena, eta habil: baina nahi diarocat azquen huni eman, hiri bay becembat.
Take what is thine and go. But it is my will to give to this last even as to thee:
15 Ala eznaiz haiçu nahi dudanaren eguitera neure onéz? ala hire beguia gaichto da, ceren ni on bainaiz?
is it not lawful for me to do what I will in my own affairs? Is thine eye evil because I am good?
16 Hala içanen dirade azquenac, lehen: eta lehenac, azquen: ecen anhitz dirade deithuac, baina guti elegituac.
Thus shall the last be first, and the first last; for many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
17 Eta Iesusec Ierusalemera igaitean, har citzan hamabi discipuluac appart bidean, eta erran ciecén,
And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples with [him] apart in the way, and said to them,
18 Huná, igaiten gara Ierusalemera, eta guiçonaren Semea liuraturen çaye Sacrificadore principaley eta Scribey, eta hura condemnaturen dute hiltzera:
Behold we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be delivered up to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death;
19 Eta hura dute liuraturen Gentiley, escarnia, eta açota, eta crucifica deçatençat: baina hereneco egunean resuscitaturen da.
and they will deliver him up to the nations to mock and to scourge and to crucify, and the third day he shall rise again.
20 Orduan ethor cedin harengana Zebedeoren semen amá bere semequin, gurtzen, eta cerbait escatzen çayola.
Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee, with her sons, doing homage, and asking something of him.
21 Eta harc erran cieçón, Cer nahi dun? Diotsó, Ordena eçac iar ditecen ene bi seme hauc, bata hire escuinean, eta bercea ezquerrean, hire resumán.
And he said to her, What wilt thou? She says to him, Speak [the word] that these my two sons may sit, one on thy right hand and one on thy left in thy kingdom.
22 Eta ihardesten çuela Iesusec erran ceçan, Eztaquiçue ceren esquez çaudeten: edan ahal diroçue nic edateco dudan copa? Eta batheya ahal çaitezquete ni batheyaturen naicen baptismoaz? Diotsote, Bay.
And Jesus answering said, Ye know not what ye ask. Can ye drink the cup which I am about to drink? They say to him, We are able.
23 Orduan dioste, Ene copá edanen baduçue, eta ni batheyaturen naicén baptismoaz batheyaturen baçarete: baina ene escuinean edo ezquerrean iartea, ezta ene emaiteco, baina emanen çaye ene Aitaz appainduric dauèney.
[And] he says to them, Ye shall drink indeed my cup, but to sit on my right hand and on [my] left, is not mine to give, but to those for whom it is prepared of my Father.
24 Eta hura ençunic berce hamarrac bekaitz citecen bi anayéz.
And the ten, having heard [of it], were indignant about the two brothers.
25 Iesusec bada hec beregana deithuric, dio, Badaquiçue ecen nationetaco princiéc seignoriatzen dutela hayen gainean: eta handiéc authoritatez vsatzen dutela hayén gaynean.
But Jesus having called them to [him], said, Ye know that the rulers of the nations exercise lordship over them, and the great exercise authority over them.
26 Ordea ezta hala içanen çuen artean: baina nor-ere handi nahi içanen baita çuen artean, biz çuen muthil:
It shall not be thus amongst you, but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your servant;
27 Eta nor-ere nahi içanen baita çuen artean lehen içan, biz çuen cerbitzari.
and whosoever will be first among you, let him be your bondman;
28 Hala nola guiçonaren Semea ezpaita ethorri cerbitzatu içatera, baina cerbitzatzera, eta bere viciaren rançoinetan anhitzengatic emaitera.
as indeed the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
29 Eta hec Iericotic partitzen ciradela, gendetze handi iarreiqui cequión.
And as they went out from Jericho a great crowd followed him.
30 Eta huná, bi itsu bide bazterrean ceudenec, ençunic ecen Iesus iragaiten cela, oihu eguin ceçaten, cioitela, Auc pietate guçaz Dauid-en seme Iauná.
And lo, two blind men, sitting by the wayside, having heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out saying, Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David.
31 Eta gendetzeac mehatchatzen cituen hec ichil litecençát, baina hec oihu guehiago eguiten çuten, cioitela, Auc pietate guçaz Dauid-en seme Iauná.
But the crowd rebuked them, that they might be silent. But they cried out the more, saying, Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David.
32 Eta gueldituric Iesusec dei citzan, eta erran ceçan, Cer nahi duçue daguiçuedan?
And Jesus, having stopped, called them and said, What will ye that I shall do to you?
33 Diotsote, Iauna, gure beguiac irequi ditecen.
They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 Eta compassione harturic Iesusec hunqui citzan hayén beguiac: eta bertan ikustea recebi ceçaten hayén beguiéc, eta hari iarreiqui cequizquión.
And Jesus, moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes had sight restored to them, and they followed him.
