< Mateo 11 >

1 Guero guertha cedin Iesusec bere hamabi discipuluey manamendu emaitea acabatu çuenean, parti baitzedin handic iracats eta predica leçançat hayén hirietan.
AND it came to pass, when Jesus had finished his injunctions to his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and preach in their cities.
2 Eta Ioannesec presoindeguian ençunic Christen obrác, igorriric bere discipuluetaric biga,
Then John, having heard in prison the works of Christ, sent two of his disciples,
3 Erran cieçon, Hi aiz ethorteco cen hura, ala berce baten beguira gaude?
and said unto him, Art thou he that cometh, or should we expect another?
4 Eta ihardesten çuela Iesusec erran ciecén, Çoazte eta conta ietzoçue Ioannesi, ençuten eta ikusten dituçuen gauçác:
And Jesus answering said unto them, Go, and tell John what things ye hear and see.
5 Itsuéc ikustea recrubatzen duté, eta mainguäc badabiltza, sorhayoac chahutzen dirade, eta gorréc ençuten duté, hilac resuscitatzen dirade, eta Euangelioa paubrey denuntiatzen çaye.
The blind receive sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 Eta dohatsu da scandalizaturen eztena nitan.
And blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended at me.
7 Eta hec ioaiten ciraden beçala, has cedin Iesus erraiten populuari Ioannesez, Ceren ikustera ilki içan çarete desertura? haiceaz erabilten den canabera baten?
And when they were gone, Jesus began to speak to the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
8 Baina ceren ikustera ilki içan çarete? guiçon abillamendu preciosoz veztitu baten? huná, abillamendu preciosoac ekarten dituztenac, reguén etchetan dirade.
But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in delicate garments? Lo! they who wear delicate garments are in the houses of kings.
9 Baina ceren ikustera ilki içan çarete? Propheta baten? bay diotsuet eta Propheta bainoagoaren.
Yet what went ye out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and abundantly more than a prophet.
10 Ecen haur da ceinez scribatua baita, Huná, nic igorten diat neure mandataria hire beguitharte aitzinean, ceinec hire bidea appainduren baitu hire aitzinean.
For this is he of whom it is written, “Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.”
11 Eguiaz erraiten drauçuet, ezta ilki emaztetaric iayo diradenén artean nehor, Ioannes Baptista baino handiagoric: guciagatic-ere ceruètaco resumaco chipiena hura baino handiago da.
Verily I say unto you, There hath not arisen, from those born of women, a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
12 Eta Ioannes Baptistaren egunetaric oraindrano, ceruètaco resumari bortha eguiten çayo, eta keichuéc harrapatzen dute hura.
But from the days of John the Baptist unto the present, the kingdom of heaven is assaulted by violence, and the invaders forcibly seize upon it.
13 Ecen Propheta guciéc eta Legueac Ioannesganano prophetizatu vkan duté.
For all the prophets and the law until John, foretold this.
14 Eta, baldin nahi baduçue recebitu, haur da Elias ethorteco cena.
And if ye will receive it, this is Elias who was to come.
15 Ençuteco beharriric duenac, ençun beça.
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
16 Baina norequin comparaturen dut generatione haur? Merkatuan iarriric dauden, eta bere laguney oihuz dagozten haourtchoac beçalaco da,
But to whom shall I resemble this generation? it is like little boys sitting in the places of concourse, and calling to their companions,
17 Ceinéc baitioite, Chirula soinu eguin drauçuegu, eta etzarete dançatu: eressiz cantatu drauçuegu, eta eztuçue deithoreric eguin.
and saying, We have piped to you, and ye have not danced; we have sung mournful ditties to you, and ye have not beat your breasts.
18 Ecen ethorri da Ioannes iaten ez edaten eztuela, eta erraiten duté, Deabrua du.
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil:
19 Ethorri da guiçonaren Semea iaten eta edaten duela, eta dioite, Horra, guiçon gormanta eta hordia, publicanoén eta vicitze gaichtotacoén adisquidea. Baina iustificatu içan da sapientiá bere haourréz.
the Son of man is come eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, what a man! a glutton and a wine-bibber, a friend of publicans and sinners: though wisdom hath been justified by her children.
20 Orduan has cequién hunela reprochatzen haren verthuteric anhitz eguin içan cen hiriey, ceren emendatu etziraden:
Then began he to upbraid the cities in which the chief of his miracles had been wrought, because they repented not:
21 Maledictione hiri Corazin, maledictione hiri Bethsaida: ecen baldin Tyren eta Sidonen eguin içan balirade çuec baithan eguin içan diraden verthuteac, aspaldi çacurequin eta hautsequin emendatu ciratequeen.
Wo unto thee, Chorazin! wo unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the miracles which had been wrought in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, long since would they have repented in sack-cloth and ashes.
22 Etare diotsuet, Tyr eta Sidon iudicioco egunean çuec baino emequiago tractatuac içanen diradela.
Wherefore I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
23 Eta hi Capernaum cerurano altchatu içan aicena iffernurano beheraturen aiz: ecen baldin Sodoman eguin içan balirade hi baithan eguin içan diraden verthuteac, egungo egunerano egon çateán. (Hadēs g86)
And thou, Capernaum, who hast been exalted unto heaven, shalt be cast down to hell: for if the miracles which have been wrought in thee had been done in Sodom, it had remained unto this day. (Hadēs g86)
24 Etare badiotsuet, ecen Sodomacoac hi baino emequiago tractatuac içanen diradela iudicioco egunean.
Wherefore I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for thee.
25 Dembora hartan ihardesten çuela Iesusec erran ceçan, Aitá, ceruco eta lurreco Iauná, esquerrac rendatzen drauzquiát, ceren estali baitrauztec gauça hauc çuhurréy eta adituey, eta manifestatu baitrauztec haour chipiey.
At that time Jesus spake and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and the intelligent, and hast revealed them to babes:
26 Bay Aitá, ceren hala içan baita hire placer ona.
yes, Father! since such is thy good pleasure.
27 Gauça guciac niri neure Aitaz eman çaizquit: eta nehorc eztu eçagutzen Semea Aitác baicen: ezeta Aita nehorc eztu eçagutzen Semeac baicen, eta nori-ere Semeac manifestatu nahi vkanen baitrauca.
All things are delivered up to me by my Father: and no person knoweth the Son but the Father; neither knoweth any person the Father but the Son, and he to whom the Son is pleased to reveal him.
28 Çatozte enegana fatigatuac eta cargatuac çareten guciác, eta nic paussu emanen drauçuet çuey.
Come to me, all who labour hard, and sustain heavy burdens, and I will give you relief.
29 Har eçaçue ene vztarria çuen gainera, eta ikas eçaçue eneganic ecen eme naicela eta bihotzez humil: eta çuen arimençát paussu eridenen duçue.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest to your souls.
30 Ecen ene vztarria aisit da, eta ene cargá arin.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
