1 Peter 3
1 Ey arvadlar, siz də eyni tərzdə öz ərlərinizə tabe olun. Əgər onlardan bəzisi Allahın kəlamına itaət etməzsə, siz arvadların ismətli, ehtiramlı həyat tərzinizi müşahidə etsinlər; beləcə onları dinməz-söyləməz qazana bilərsiniz.
In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any do not obey the word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word;
seeing your pure behavior in fear.
3 Qoy sizin bəzəyiniz saçlarınızı hörüb qızıl bər-bəzək taxmaq və gözəl geyimlər geyməklə zahiri şeylər deyil,
Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing;
4 gizli olan daxili varlığınız, həlim və sakit ruhun solmayan gözəlliyindən ibarət olsun. Bu, Allahın qarşısında çox dəyərlidir.
but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious.
5 Çünki qədim zamanlarda Allaha ümid bağlayan müqəddəs qadınlar öz ərlərinə tabe olaraq belə bəzənərdilər.
For this is how the holy women before, who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
6 Məsələn, Sara İbrahimi «ağam» deyə çağıraraq ona itaət edirdi. Siz də yaxşılıq edib heç bir qorxuya qapılmasanız, Saranın övladları olursunuz.
as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are, if you do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.
7 Ey ərlər, siz də bunun kimi arvadlarınızla ədəblə, onların daha zərif varlıqlar olduğuna uyğun davranın. Sizinlə birlikdə Allahın lütf etdiyi həyatı irs olaraq aldıqlarına görə onlara hörmət göstərin ki, dualarınıza maneçilik törədilməsin.
You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered.
8 Nəhayət, hamınız həmfikir olun. Başqalarının hər bir hissinə şərik olun, bir-birinizi qardaşlıq məhəbbəti ilə sevin, rəhmli və itaətkar olun.
Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, humble,
9 Pisliyə pisliklə, söyüşə də söyüşlə cavab verməyin, əksinə xeyir-dua edin. Çünki bunun üçün çağırılmısınız ki, xeyir-duaları irs olaraq alasınız.
not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but instead blessing; because to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing.
10 Çünki: «Kim həyatdan kam almaq, Xoş gün görmək istəyirsə, Qoy dilini şərdən, Ağzını hiylə danışmaqdan qorusun,
For, "He who would love life, and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.
11 Qoy şərdən çəkinib yaxşılıq etsin, Qoy sülhü axtarıb ardınca getsin!
Let him turn away from evil, and do good. Let him seek peace, and pursue it.
12 Çünki Rəbbin gözü salehlərin üzərindədir, Qulaqları onların fəryadlarına açıqdır. Amma Rəbbin üzü şər işlər görənlərə qarşıdır».
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
13 Əgər yaxşılıq etməyə səy göstərsəniz, sizə kim pislik edər?
Now who is he who will harm you, if you become zealous of that which is good?
14 Amma salehlik uğrunda əzab çəksəniz belə, siz bəxtiyarsınız. İnsanların hədə-qorxu gəlməsindən qorxmayın və lərzəyə düşməyin.
But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "And do not fear what they fear, nor be troubled."
15 Lakin Məsihi Rəbb kimi ürəyinizdə müqəddəs tutun. Daxilinizdə olan ümid barəsində sizdən hesabat istəyən hər kəsə cavab vermək üçün hazır olun.
But sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with humility and fear:
16 Vicdanınızı təmiz tutaraq bunu həlimliklə və ehtiramla edin ki, Məsihdə olan yaxşı davranışınızı təhqir edənlər sizə atdıqları böhtandan utansınlar.
having a good conscience; so that when they speak evil against you, they may be put to shame who slander your good manner of life in Christ.
17 Əgər Allahın iradəsi budursa, yaxşılıq etdiyi üçün əzab çəkmək pislik etdiyi üçün əzab çəkməkdən yaxşıdır.
For it is better, if it is God's will, that you suffer for doing well than for doing evil.
18 Çünki saleh olan Məsih də saleh olmayanlar uğrunda, onların günahları üçün bir dəfə əzab çəkdi ki, sizi Allahın hüzuruna gətirsin. O cismən edam edilmiş, amma ruhən həyata qovuşmuşdur.
Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
19 O ruhən gedib zindandakı ruhlara da vəz etdi.
in which he also went and made a proclamation to the spirits in prison,

This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the body, but an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22 İsa Məsih göyə qalxıb və Allahın sağındadır. Mələklər, hakimlər və qüvvələr də Ona tabedir.
who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
