O THAT thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

7 ৭ জল সমূহেও ভালপোৱাৰ শিখাক নুমাব নোৱাৰে, আৰু বন্যাৰ ধলেও তাক উটুৱাই নিব নোৱাৰে; যদি কোনোৱে ভালপোৱাৰ কাৰণে নিজৰ ঘৰৰ সৰ্ব্বস্ব দিয়ে, সেই সমর্পণ অৱশ্যেই তুচ্ছ কৰা হ’ব।
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
9 ৯ তাইৰ বুকু যদি এক প্রাচীৰ হয়, তেন্তে আমি তাইৰ ওপৰত এটা ৰূপৰ মিনাৰ সাজিম। তাই যদি এক দুৱাৰ হয়, তেন্তে আমি এৰচ কাঠৰ তক্তাৰে তাক অলঙ্কৃত কৰি ৰাখিম।
If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.

My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
13 ১৩ প্রিয়ৰ কথা: হে উদ্যানবাসিনী, তোমাৰ লগৰীয়া কেইজনে তোমাৰ স্বৰ শুনিবলৈ কাণ পাতি আছে; তাক মোকো শুনিবলৈ দিয়া।
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.
14 ১৪ প্রিয়াৰ কথা: হে মোৰ প্ৰিয়, শীঘ্ৰে আহা, সুগন্ধময় পাহাৰৰ ওপৰত তুমি কৃষ্ণসাৰৰ দৰে হোৱা; অথবা যুবা হৰিণৰ সদৃশ হোৱা।
Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
