1 ১ যিৰূচালেমৰ লোকসকল, এতিয়া একলগ হৈ যুদ্ধলৈ শাৰী পাতি আহাঁ, তোমালোকৰ নগৰৰ চাৰিওফালে এখন দেৱাল আছে, কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে ইস্রায়েলৰ মূখ্যলোকসকলক লাঠিৰে গালত প্রহাৰ কৰিব।
Now you shall gather yourself in troops, daughter of troops. He has laid siege against us. They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.
2 ২ কিন্তু হে বৈৎলেহেম-ইফ্ৰাথা, যিহূদাৰ গোষ্ঠীবোৰৰ মাজত যদিও তোমালোক অতি ক্ষুদ্ৰ, তথাপিও ইস্ৰায়েলক শাসন কৰিবলৈ তোমালোকৰ পৰাই এজন মোৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিব, সেই জনৰ আৰম্ভণি পূৰ্বকালৰ পৰা অনন্তকাললৈকে;
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.

4 ৪ যিহোৱাৰ শক্তিৰে তেওঁ থিয় হ’ব, আৰু তেওঁৰ পশুৰ জাক চৰাব, তেওঁলোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ নামৰ মহিমাত, তেওঁলোকে বাস কৰিব; কাৰণ তেওঁ পৃথিবীৰ শেষলৈকে মহান হ’ব।
He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. They will live, for then he will be great to the ends of the earth.
5 ৫ তেঁৱেই আমাৰ শান্তি হ’ব; যেতিয়া অচূৰে আমাৰ দেশলৈ সোমাই আহিব, আৰু আমাৰ দুৰ্গবোৰৰ অহিতে তেওঁলোকে দৃঢ়ভাৱে অগ্রগতি কৰিব, তেতিয়া আমি তেওঁলোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে সাত জন মেৰ-ছাগ ৰখীয়া, আৰু লোকসকলৰ ওপৰত আঠ জন মূখ্য লোকক তুলি ধৰিম।

They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in its gates. He will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he invades our land, and when he marches within our border.

The remnant of Jacob will be among many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, that do not wait for man nor wait for the sons of men.
8 ৮ দেশৰ আৰু বহুতো মানুহৰ মাজত যাকোবৰ অৱশিষ্ট লোক, জংঘলত জন্তুৰ মাজত থকা সিংহ দৰে, আৰু মেৰ-ছাগৰ জাকৰ মাজত থকা যুবা সিংহৰ দৰে থাকিব। যেতিয়া তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ মাজেৰে যায়, তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক গচকে আৰু ফালি টুকুৰা টুকুৰ কৰে, আৰু সেই ঠাইত তেওঁলোকক ৰক্ষা কৰিবলৈ কোনো নাথাকে।
The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, among many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.
Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries, and let all of your enemies be cut off.
10 ১০ “সেই দিনা এইদৰে ঘটিব,” যিহোৱাই কৈছে, “মই তোমালোকৰ মাজৰ পৰা তোমালোকৰ ঘোঁৰাবোৰ ধ্বংস কৰিম, আৰু তোমালোকৰ ৰথবোৰ বিনষ্ট কৰিম।
“It will happen in that day”, says the LORD, “that I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots.
I will cut off the cities of your land and will tear down all your strongholds.
I will destroy witchcraft from your hand. You shall have no soothsayers.
13 ১৩ মই তোমালোকৰ মাজৰ পৰা কটা-প্ৰতিমাবোৰ, আৰু তোমালোকৰ শিলৰ স্তম্ভবোৰ ধ্বংস কৰিম। তোমালোকৰ নিজৰ হাতৰ কার্যক প্ৰণিপাত কৰি নাথাকিবা;
I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars from among you; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands.
I will uproot your Asherah poles from among you; and I will destroy your cities.
I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that did not listen.”
