Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
2 ২ মোৰ পিতৃৰ ঘৰত অনেক থকা ঠাই আছে; আৰু নথকা হ’লে তোমালোকক ক’লোহেঁতেন; কিয়নো মই তোমালোকলৈ ঠাই যুগুত কৰিবলৈ যাওঁ।
In my Father’s Home there are many dwellings. If it had not been so, I should have told you, for I am going to prepare a place for you.
3 ৩ যদি মই যাওঁ আৰু তোমালোকলৈ ঠাই যুগুত কৰোঁ, তেনেহলে মই যি ঠাইত থাকোঁ, তোমালোকো সেই ঠাইতে থাকিবলৈ পাবা, এই কাৰণে মই আকৌ আহি তোমালোকক মোৰ ওচৰলৈ লৈ যাম।
And, since I go and prepare a place for you, I shall return and take you to be with me, so that you may be where I am;
and you know the way to the place where I am going.”
5 ৫ থোমাই যীচুক ক’লে, “হে প্ৰভু, আপুনি ক’লৈ যায়, তাকেই আমি নাজানো; তেনেহলে বাট নো আমি কেনেকৈ জানিম?”
“We do not know where you are going, Master,” said Thomas; “so how can we know the way?”
Jesus answered: “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one ever comes to the Father except through me.
If you had recognised me, you would have known my Father also; for the future you will recognise him, indeed you have already seen him.”
“Master, show us the Father,” said Philip, “and we shall be satisfied.”
9 ৯ যীচুৱে ক’লে, “হে ফিলিপ, তোমালোকৰ সৈতে ইমান দিন থকাতো তুমি মোক চিনি পোৱা নাই নে? যি জনে মোক দেখিলে, তেওঁ মোৰ পিতৃকেই দেখিলে; ইয়াৰ পাছতো পিতৃক দেখুৱাওঁক বুলি কেনেকৈ কব পাৰিলা?”
“Have I been all this time among you,” said Jesus, “and yet you, Philip, have not recognised me? He who has seen me has seen the Father, how can you say, then, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 ১০ “মই যে পিতৃত আছোঁ আৰু পিতৃও যে মোৰ লগত আছে, ইয়াক তুমি বিশ্বাস নকৰা নে? মই যি যি কথা তোমালোকক কওঁ, সেইবোৰ নিজৰ পৰা নকওঁ; কিন্তু পিতৃয়ে মোৰ লগত থাকি তেওঁৰ কাৰ্যবোৰ সম্পন্ন কৰে।
Do not you believe that I am in union with the Father, and the Father with me? In giving you my teaching I am not speaking on my own authority; but the Father himself, always in union with me, does his own work.
11 ১১ মই যে পিতৃত আছোঁ, আৰু পিতৃও যে মোৰ লগত আছে, মোৰ এই কথাতে বিশ্বাস কৰা; নাইবা মই কৰা কাৰ্যবোৰৰ কাৰণে মোক বিশ্বাস কৰা।
Believe me,” he said to them all, “when I say that I am in union with the Father and the Father with me, or else believe me on account of the work itself.
12 ১২ মই তোমালোকক অতি স্বৰূপকৈ কওঁ, মই যি যি কাৰ্য কৰোঁ, মোক বিশ্বাস কৰা জনেও তেনেকুৱা কাৰ্য কৰিব আৰু তাতকৈয়ো মহৎ মহৎ কাৰ্য কৰিব; কিয়নো মই পিতৃৰ ওচৰলৈ যাওঁ।
In truth I tell you, he who believes in me will himself do the work that I am doing; and he will do greater work still, because I am going to the Father.
13 ১৩ তোমালোকে মোৰ নামেৰে যিহকে খুজিবা, মই তাকে পূর্ণ কৰিম; তাতে পিতা, পুত্ৰৰ দ্বাৰাই যেন মহিমান্বিত হয়।
Whatever you ask, in my Name, I will do, that the Father may be honoured in the Son.
If you ask anything, in my Name, I will do it.
If you love me, you will lay my commands to heart,
16 ১৬ আৰু মই পিতৃৰ ওচৰত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিম, তেওঁ যাতে তোমালোকক আন এজন সহায়কর্তা দিয়ে আৰু তেওঁ যেন চিৰকাল তোমালোকৰ লগত থাকে৷ (aiōn g165)
and I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you always — the Spirit of Truth. (aiōn g165)
17 ১৭ সেই সত্যৰ আত্মাক জগতে গ্ৰহণ কৰিব নোৱাৰে; কিয়নো জগতে তেওঁক নেদেখে আৰু নাজানেও; তোমালোকে হ’লে তেওঁক জানা; কিয়নো তেওঁ তোমালোকৰ সঙ্গে সঙ্গে থাকে আৰু তেওঁ তোমালোকৰ মাজত থাকিব।
The world cannot receive this Spirit, because it does not see him or recognise him, but you recognise him, because he is always with you, and is within you.
I will not leave you bereaved; I will come to you.
19 ১৯ অলপ সময়ৰ পাছত জগতে মোক পূণৰ দেখিবলৈ নাপায়, কিন্তু তোমালোকে হ’লে মোক দেখা পাবা; কাৰণ মই জীয়াই আছোঁ বাবে তোমালোকো জীয়াই থাকিবা।
In a little while the world will see me no more, but you will still see me; because I am living, you will be living also.
At that time you will recognise that I am in union with the Father, and you with me, and I with you.
21 ২১ যি জনে মোৰ আজ্ঞা পাই পালন কৰে, সেই জনে মোক প্ৰেম কৰে; আৰু যি জনে মোক প্ৰেম কৰে, সেই জন মোৰ পিতৃৰ প্ৰেমৰ পাত্ৰ হ’ব আৰু ময়ো সেই জনক প্ৰেম কৰি, তেওঁৰ আগত নিজকে প্ৰকাশ কৰিম।”
It is he who has my commands and lays them to heart that loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
22 ২২ তেতিয়া ঈষ্কৰিয়োতীয়া নহয়, আন যিহুদাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “হে প্ৰভু, কিনো হ’ল যে, আপুনি জগতৰ আগত প্ৰকাশিত নহয়, কিন্তু আমাৰ আগত নিজকে প্ৰকাশ কৰিব?”
“What has happened, Master,” said Judas (not Judas Iscariot), “that you are going to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 ২৩ যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দি তেওঁক ক’লে, “কোনোৱে যদি মোক প্ৰেম কৰে, তেনেহলে তেওঁ মোৰ বাক্য পালন কৰিব; মোৰ পিতৃয়ে তেওঁক প্ৰেম কৰিব, আৰু আমি তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি, তেওঁৰে সৈতে নিবাস কৰিম।
“Whoever loves me,” Jesus answered, “will lay my Message to heart; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
24 ২৪ যি জনে মোক প্ৰেম নকৰে, সেই জনে মোৰ বাক্যও পালন নকৰে; আৰু যি বাক্য তোমালোকে শুনিবলৈ পাইছা, সেই বাক্য মোৰ নহয়, কিন্তু মোক পঠোৱা পিতৃৰহে।
He who does not love me will not lay my Message to heart; and the Message to which you are listening is not my own, but that of the Father who sent me.
I have told you all this while still with you,
26 ২৬ কিন্তু সেই সহায়কর্তা পবিত্ৰ আত্মা, যি জনক পিতৃয়ে মোৰ নামেৰে পঠিয়াব, তেওঁ তোমালোকক সকলো শিক্ষা দিব আৰু মই তোমালোকক যি যি কৈছোঁ, এই আটাই কথা তোমালোকক সোঁৱৰাব।
but the Helper — the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my Name — he will teach you all things, and will recall to your minds all that I have said to you.
27 ২৭ মই তোমালোকলৈ শান্তি এৰি যাওঁ, মোৰ শান্তি তোমালোকক দিওঁ; জগতে যেনেকৈ দিয়ে মই তেনেকৈ নিদিওঁ। তোমালোকৰ হৃদয় ব্যাকুল নহওক, আৰু ভয়াতুৰো নহওক।
Peace be with you! My own peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, or dismayed.
28 ২৮ মই তোমালোকক যি দৰে ক’লো, সেই বিষয়ে তোমালোকে শুনিলা, মই গৈ তোমালোকৰ ওচৰলৈ পুনৰ আহিম৷ তোমালোকে যদি মোক প্ৰেম কৰা, তেনেহ’লে মই পিতৃ ওচৰলৈ যাব ওলোৱাৰ কাৰণে তোমালোকে আনন্দ কৰিলাহেঁতেন; কিয়নো পিতৃ মোতকৈ মহান।
You heard me say that I was going away and would return to you. Had you loved me, you would have been glad that I was going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.
And this I have told you now before it happens, that, when it does happen, you may still believe in me.
I shall not talk with you much more, for the Spirit that is ruling the world is coming. He has nothing in common with me;
31 ৩১ কিন্তু মই যে পিতৃক প্ৰেম কৰোঁ, আৰু পিতৃয়ে মোক দিয়া আজ্ঞাবোৰ মই যে পালন কৰোঁ, এই বিষয়ে জগতে জানিবলৈ; এতিয়া উঠা, আমি ইয়াৰ পৰা যাওঁহক।”
but he is coming that the world may see that I love the Father, and that I do as the Father commanded me. Come, let us be going.
