1 ১ হে ভাই আৰু পিতৃসকল, এতিয়া আপোনালোকৰ আগত মই নিজৰ পক্ষে যি উত্তৰ দিম, সেই বিষয়ে শুনকচোন৷

Ye men brethre and fathers heare myne answere which I make vnto you.

2 ২ যেতিয়া লোকসকলে ইব্ৰী ভাষাৰে কথা কোৱা শুনিলে, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোক নিমাত হ’ল৷ তেওঁ কলে,

Whe they hearde that he spake in ye Ebrue tonge to them they kept the moore silence. And he sayde:

3 ৩ “মই যিহুদী মানুহ, কিলিকিয়া দেশৰ তাৰ্চ নগৰ মোৰ ওপজা ঠাই, কিন্তু এই নগৰত প্ৰতিপালিত হৈ, গমলীয়েল অধ্যাপকৰ চৰণত ঠিকমতে আমাৰ পূৰ্ব-পুৰুষ সকলৰ পৰা প্ৰচলিত বিধানৰ শিক্ষা পালোঁ; আৰু আজি আপোনালোক যেনে হৈ আছে, ময়ো সেইদৰে ঈশ্বৰলৈ উৎসাহী হৈ আছিলোঁ;

4 ৪ আৰু এই পথৰ পুৰুষ আৰু মহিলা সকলক বান্ধি বন্দীশালত শোধাই দি, আনকি মৰণলৈকে তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত তাড়না কৰিছিলোঁ৷

and I persecuted this waye vnto the deeth byndynge and delyveringe into preson bothe men and wemen

5 ৫ এই বিষয়ে মহা-পুৰোহিত আৰু পৰিচাৰক সকলৰ সমাজ খনো মোৰ সাক্ষী আছে৷ তেখেত সকলৰ পৰাই পত্ৰ লৈ, দম্মেচকত যি সকল এই পথৰ ভাই আছিল, সেই লোকসকলক দণ্ড দি বান্ধি যিৰূচালেমলৈ আনিবৰ কাৰণে তালৈ যাত্ৰাও কৰিছিলোঁ৷

6 ৬ কিন্তু মই যাত্ৰা কৰি দম্মেচক নগৰৰ ওচৰ পাওঁতে, দুপৰীয়া সময়ত অকস্মাতে আকাশৰ পৰা উজ্বল পোহৰ আহি মোৰ চাৰিওফালে প্ৰকাশিত হ’ল৷

And it fortuned as I made my iorney and was come nye vnto Damasco aboute none yt sodenly ther shone fro heaven a greate lyght rounde aboute me

7 ৭ তাতে মই মাটিত বাগৰি পৰিলোঁ আৰু ‘হে চৌল, হে চৌল, মোক কিয় তাড়না কৰিছা?’ মোলৈ কোৱা এনে বাণী শুনিলোঁ৷

and I fell vnto the erth and hearde a voyce sayinge vnto me: Saul Saul why persecutest thou me?

8 ৮ মই উত্তৰ দিলোঁ, “হে প্ৰভু, আপুনি কোন?” তেওঁ মোক ক’লে, ‘তুমি যি জনক তাড়না কৰিছা, মই সেই নাচৰতীয়া যীচু৷’”

And I answered: what arte thou Lorde? And he sayd vnto me: I am Iesus of Nazareth whom thou persecutest.

9 ৯ মোৰ সঙ্গীসকলেও সেই পোহৰ দেখিবলৈ পালে, কিন্তু মোক কথা কোৱা জনৰ মাত শুনা নাছিল৷

And they that were with me sawe verely a lyght and were a frayde: but they hearde not the voyce of him that spake with me.

10 ১০ পাছত মই সুধিলোঁ, ‘প্ৰভু, মই কি কৰিব লাগিব’? প্ৰভুৱে মোক ক’লে, ‘উঠা আৰু দম্মেচকলৈ যোৱা; তাতে তুমি কৰিবলগীয়া যি যি আছে, সেই সকলোবোৰৰ বিষয়ে তোমাক তাতে কোৱা হ’ব৷’

And I sayde: what shall I do Lorde? And the Lorde sayde vnto me: Aryse and goo into Damasco and there it shalbe tolde the of all thinges which are apoynted for the to do.

11 ১১ সেই পোহৰৰ প্ৰতাপৰ কাৰণে মই দেখা পোৱা নাছিলোঁ, সেয়েহে সঙ্গীসকলৰ হাতত ধৰি দম্মেচকলৈ গ’লো৷

And when I sawe nothynge for the brightnes of that light I was ledde by the honde of them that were with me and came into Damasco.

12 ১২ পাছে সেই নগৰ নিবাসী ইহুদী সকলৰ মাজত সুখ্যাতি পোৱা অননিয় নামেৰে বিধানৰ ভক্ত এজনক লগ পালোঁ৷

And one Ananias a perfect man and as pertayninge to the lawe havinge good reporte of all the Iewes which there dwelt

13 ১৩ পাছত তেওঁ আহি মোৰ ওচৰত থিয় হৈ কলে, ‘হে ভাই চৌল, দৃষ্টি পোৱা৷’ সেই মুহুৰ্ততে মই তেওঁক দেখা পালোঁ৷

came vnto me and stode and sayd vnto me: Brother Saul loke vp. And that same houre I receaved my sight and sawe him.

14 ১৪ পাছত তেওঁ মোক কলে, ‘আমাৰ ওপৰ-পুৰুষ সকলৰ ঈশ্বৰে তোমাক মনোনীত কৰিলে, যাতে তুমি ঈশ্বৰৰ ইচ্ছা জানা আৰু ধাৰ্মিক জনক দেখা পোৱা৷ এতিয়া তেওঁৰ মুখৰ বাক্য শুনা;

And he sayde the God of oure fathers hath ordeyned the before that thou shuldest knowe his will and shuldest se that which is rightfull and shuldest heare the voyce of his mouth:

15 ১৫ কাৰণ যি যি দেখিলা, শুনিলা, সকলো মানুহৰ আগত তেওঁলৈ তাৰ সাক্ষী হ’বা৷

for thou shalt be his witnes vnto all men of tho thinges which thou thou hast sene and hearde.

16 ১৬ এতিয়া কিয় পলম কৰিছা? উঠা, তেওঁৰ নামত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি বাপ্তাইজিত হৈ, নিজৰ পাপ ধুই পেলোৱা৷’

And now: why tariest thou? Aryse and be baptised and wesshe awaye thy synnes in callinge on ye name of ye Lorde.

17 ১৭ তাৰ পাছত মই যিৰূচালেমলৈ উলটি আহি মন্দিৰত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি থাকোতে মুৰ্চ্ছা গ’লো৷

And it fortuned when I was come agayne to Ierusalem and prayde in the teple yt I was in a trauce

18 ১৮ তাতে তেওঁ মোক কোৱা শুনিলো, ‘তুমি লৰালৰিকৈ যিৰূচালেমৰ পৰা বেগাই ওলাই যোৱা, কিয়নো এই মানুহবোৰে তুমি মোৰ বিষয়ে দিয়া সাক্ষ্য গ্ৰহণ নকৰিব৷’

and sawe him sayinge vnto me. Make haste and get the quickly out of Ierusalem: for they will not receave thy witnes yt thou bearest of me.

19 ১৯ মই ক’লো, ‘হে প্ৰভু, মই যে প্ৰত্যেক নাম-ঘৰত সোমাই তোমাক বিশ্বাস কৰা সকলক কোবাই কোবাই বন্দীশালত থৈছিলোঁ

And I sayde: Lorde they knowe that I presoned and bet in every synagoge them that beleved on the.

20 ২০ আৰু তোমাৰ সাক্ষী স্তিফানৰ ৰক্তপাতৰ সময়ত, ময়ো নিজে ওচৰত থিয় হৈ সন্মতি দি, তেওঁক বধ কৰা সকলৰ কাপোৰ ৰাখিছিলোঁ৷’

And when the bloud of thy witnes Steven was sheed I also stode by and consented vnto his deeth and kept the rayment of them that slewe him.

21 ২১ কিন্তু তেওঁ মোক কলে, ‘যোৱা, কিয়নো মই তোমাক দুৰৈত থকা অনা-ইহুদী সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠিয়াম৷’

And he sayde vnto me: departe for I will sende the a farre hence vnto the Gentyls.

22 ২২ এইখিনিলৈকে তেওঁৰ কথা শুনি, তেওঁলোকে চিঞৰি কলে, “এনে মানুহক পৃথিৱীৰ পৰা দূৰ কৰক: কিয়নো সি জীয়াই থকাৰ যোগ্য নহয়৷”

They gave him audience vnto this worde and then lifte vp their voyces and sayde: a waye wt soche a felowe fro the erth: yt is pitie that he shuld live.

23 ২৩ তেওঁলোকে ৰিঙিয়াই ৰিঙিয়াই, নিজৰ নিজৰ কাপোৰ পেলাই, ওপৰলৈ ধুলি উৰুৱাই থাকোঁতে,

And as they cryed and cast of their clothes and thrue dust into ye ayer

24 ২৪ হাজাৰৰ সেনাপতিয়ে পৌলক দুর্গৰ ভিতৰলৈ নিবলৈ আজ্ঞা দিলে আৰু তেওঁৰ অহিতে মানুহবোৰে কি কাৰণত এনেদৰে আটাহ পাৰিছে, সেই বিষয়ে জানিবলৈ তেওঁক চাবুকেৰে কোবাই সুধিবলৈ আজ্ঞা দিলে৷

ye captayne bade him to be brought into the castle and commaunded him to be scourged and to be examined that he myght knowe wherfore they cryed on him.

25 ২৫ পাছত তেওঁক চাবুকেৰে কোবাবলৈ চামৰাৰ ফিটাৰে বন্ধা হ’ল, তেতিয়া পৌলে ওচৰত থিয় হৈ থকা এশৰ সেনাপতিক কলে, “বিনা দণ্ডাজ্ঞাৰে ৰোমীয়া মানুহক চাবুকেৰে কোবাবলৈ আইন মতে আপোনালোকৰ ক্ষমতা আছে নে?”

And as they bounde him with thoges Paul sayde vnto the Centurion that stode by: Ys it laufull for you to scourge a man that is a Romain and vncondempned?

26 ২৬ এশৰ সেনাপতিয়ে এই কথা শুনি হাজাৰৰ সেনাপতিৰ ওচৰলৈ গৈ কলে, “আপুনি কি কৰিবলৈ উদ্যত হৈছে? কিয়নো এই মানুহ জন এগৰাকী ৰোমীয়া নাগৰিক৷”

When the Centurion hearde that he went and tolde the vpper captayne sayinge: What intendest thou to do? This man is a Romayne.

27 ২৭ তেতিয়া হাজাৰৰ সেনাপতিয়ে আহি তেওঁক কলে, “মোক কোৱাচোন, তুমি এগৰাকী ৰোমীয়া নাগৰিক নে?” পৌলে কলে, “হয়”৷

Then the vpper captayne came and sayde to him: tell me art thou a Romayne? He sayde: Yee.

28 ২৮ হাজাৰৰ সেনাপতিয়ে উত্তৰ দিলে, “মই ভালেমান ধন ভৰিহে নাগৰিকত্ব লাভ কৰিছিলোঁ৷” কিন্তু পৌলে কলে, “মই জন্মতেই এজন ৰোমীয় নাগৰিক৷”

And the captayne answered: with a greate some obtayned I this fredome. And Paul sayde: I was fre borne.

29 ২৯ তেতিয়া যি সকলে তেওঁৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ কৰিবলৈ উদ্যত হৈছিল, তেওঁলোকে তেতিয়াই তেওঁৰ ওচৰৰ পৰা গুচি গ’ল আৰু হাজাৰৰ সেনাপতিয়ে পৌল এগৰাকী ৰোমীয়া নাগৰিক বুলি জানি ভয় খালে, কাৰণ তেওঁ নিজে তেওঁক বন্ধাইছিল৷

Then strayght waye departed from him they which shuld have examyned him. And the hye captayne also was a frayde after he knewe that he was a Romayne: because he had bounde him.

30 ৩০ পাছদিনা ইহুদী সকলে পৌলক কি অপবাদ দিছিল, হাজাৰৰ সেনাপতিয়ে তাৰ নিশ্চয়তা জানিব বিচাৰিলে৷ গতিকে তেওঁক বান্ধোনৰ পৰা মুকলি কৰি দিলে আৰু প্ৰধান পুৰোহিত সকল আৰু মহাসভাৰ সকলোকে গোট খাবলৈ আজ্ঞা দিলে৷ পাছত তেওঁ পৌলক নমাই আনি তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত উপস্থিত কৰালে৷

On the morowe because he wolde have knowen the certayntie wherfore he was accused of the Iewes he lowsed him from his bondes and commaunded the hye Prestes and all the counsell to come together and brought Paul and set him before them.
