Be sure of this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 ২ কিয়নো সেই কালত মানুহবোৰ নিজকে নিজে প্ৰেম কৰোঁতা, ধন লুভীয়া, দর্পী, অহংকাৰী, নিন্দক, পিতৃ-মাতৃৰ প্ৰতি অবাধ্য, অকৃতজ্ঞ, অপবিত্ৰ,
Men will be selfish, mercenary, boastful, haughty, and blasphemous; disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, impure,
incapable of affection, merciless, slanderous, wanting in self-control, brutal, careless of the right,
treacherous, reckless, and puffed up with pride; they will love pleasure more than they love God;
5 ৫ তেওঁলোকে ধাৰ্মিকতাৰ আকাৰ ধাৰণ কৰিব, কিন্তু তাৰ শক্তি অস্বীকাৰ কৰিব। এনে লোক সকলৰ পৰা তুমি আতৰি থাকিবা।
and while they retain the outward form of religion, they will not allow it to influence them. Turn your back on such men as these.
6 ৬ কিয়নো তেওঁলোকৰ কিছুমান মানুহে, ছলেৰে পৰৰ ঘৰত সোমাই, নির্ব্বুদ্ধি তিৰোতা সকলক মোহিত কৰি বন্দীনীৰ তুল্য কৰিলে আৰু পাপত ভাৰাক্ৰান্ত কৰি নানা বিধ অভিলাষেৰে চালিত কৰিলে৷
For among them are to be found those who creep into homes and captivate weak women — women who, loaded with sins, and slaves to all kinds of passions,
7 ৭ এই তিৰোতা সকলে সদায় নতুন শিক্ষা পাবৰ বাবে চেষ্টা কৰে, কিন্তু সত্যৰ তত্ব-জ্ঞান পাবলৈ হলে কেতিয়াও সমর্থ নহয়৷
are always learning, and yet never able to attain to a real knowledge of the Truth.
8 ৮ যেনেকৈ যান্নি আৰু যামব্ৰিয়ে মোচিৰ বিৰোধীতা কৰিছিল, তেনেকৈ এই মিছা শিক্ষক সকলেও সত্যতাৰ প্ৰতিৰোধ কৰিছিল৷ তেখেত সকল মন ভ্ৰষ্ট আৰু বিশ্বাসৰ সম্বন্ধে অপ্ৰমাণিক৷।
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these people, in their turn, oppose the Truth. Their minds are corrupted, and, as regards the Faith, they are utterly worthless.
9 ৯ কিন্তু তেখেত সকলে অধিক আগবাঢ়িব নোৱাৰিব, কিয়নো সেই দুজনৰ দৰে, তেখেত সকলৰো মূর্খতা সকলোৰে আগত প্ৰকাশিত হব।
They will not, however, make further progress; for their wicked folly will be plain to every one, just as that of Jannes and Jambres was.
But you, Timothy, were a close observer of my teaching, my conduct, my purposes, my faith, my forbearance, my love, and my patient endurance,
11 ১১ তাড়না আৰু দুখভোগ, সেই সকলোৰে অনুগামী হলা আৰু আন্তিয়খিয়া, ইকনিয়, আৰু লুস্ত্ৰাত মোলৈ কি ঘটনা ঘটিছিল, সেই বিষয়েও তুমি জানা৷ মই এনে ধৰণৰ তাড়না সহন কৰিছোঁ যে, সেইবোৰ তাড়নাৰ পৰা ঈশ্ৱৰেহে মোক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিলে৷
as well as of my persecutions, and of the sufferings which I met with at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. You know what persecutions I underwent; and yet the Lord brought me safe out of all!
12 ১২ আৰু বাস্তৱিকতে যি সকলে খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুত ভক্তিভাবে জীৱন-যাপন কৰিবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰে, এনে লোক সকলে তাড়না পাব।
Yes, and all who aim at living a religious life in union with Christ Jesus will have to suffer persecution;
13 ১৩ কিন্তু দুষ্ট আৰু প্ৰবঞ্চক সকলে কিছুমান লোকক বিপথে লৈ যাব আৰু নিজেও ভ্ৰান্ত হৈ অধিকৰূপে মন্দ হৈ যাব।
but wicked people and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and deceived themselves.
14 ১৪ কিন্তু তুমি যি যি শিকিলা আৰু দৃঢ়তাৰে যি বিশ্বাস পালা, সেই শিক্ষাতে স্থিৰে থাকা, কিয়নো কোন ব্যক্তিৰ পৰা সেই শিক্ষা পালা, সেই বিষয়ে তুমি জানা।
You, however, must stand by what you learnt and accepted as true. You know who they were from whom you learnt it;
15 ১৫ আৰু যি পবিত্ৰ বিধান-শাস্ত্ৰই খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুৰ সম্বন্ধীয় বিশ্বাসৰ যোগেদি তোমাক পৰিত্রাণৰ অর্থে জ্ঞানী কৰিব পাৰে, তাকো তুমি শিশু কালৰে পৰা জানা।
and that, from your childhood, you have known the Sacred Writings, which can give you the wisdom that, through belief in Christ Jesus, leads to Salvation.
16 ১৬ সকলো ধৰ্মশাস্ত্ৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ দ্বাৰা নিশ্বাসিত আৰু শিক্ষাৰ বাবে, অনুযোগৰ বাবে, শুধৰণিৰ বাবে আৰু ধাৰ্মিকতা সম্বন্ধীয় শিক্ষাত লাভজনক;
Everything that is written under divine inspiration is helpful for teaching, for refuting error, for giving guidance, and for training others in righteousness;
so that the Servant of God may be perfect himself, and perfectly equipped for every good action.
