২ সামুয়েল 2
1 ১ তাৰ পাছত দায়ূদে যিহোৱাক সুধিলে আৰু ক’লে, “মই যিহূদাৰ কোনো এখন নগৰলৈ উঠি যাম নে?” তাতে যিহোৱাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “উঠি যোৱা।” দায়ূদে সুধিলে, “মই কোন খন নগৰলৈ যাব লাগিব?” যিহোৱাই উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “হিব্ৰোণলৈ।”
And it came to pass after this that David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up into one of the cities of Juda? and the Lord said to him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? and he said, To Chebron.
2 ২ এই হেতুকে দায়ূদে তেওঁৰ নিজ দুজনী ভাৰ্য্যা, যিজ্ৰীয়েলৰ অহীনোৱম আৰু কৰ্মিলীয়া মৃত নাবলৰ তিৰোতা অবীগলক লগত লৈ সেই ঠাইলৈ গ’ল।
And David went up there to Chebron, [he] and both his wives, Achinaam the Jezraelitess, and Abigaia the wife of Nabal the Carmelite,
3 ৩ দায়ূদে তেওঁৰ লগত থকা লোকসকলক লগত ল’লে আৰু তেওঁলোক প্ৰতিজনে নিজ নিজ পৰিয়ালৰ সৈতে হিব্ৰোণৰ সেই নগৰবোৰত বাস কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে৷
and the men that were with him, every one and his family; and they lived in the cities of Chebron.
4 ৪ তেতিয়া যিহূদাৰ পৰা লোকসকল আহিল আৰু দায়ূদক যিহূদা বংশৰ ওপৰত ৰজা অভিষেক কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে দায়ূদক ক’লে, “যাবেচ-গিলিয়দৰ লোকসকলে চৌলক মৈদাম দিলে৷”
And the men of Judea come, and anoint David there to reign over the house of Juda; and they reported to David, saying, The men of Jabis of the country of Galaad have buried Saul.
5 ৫ তেতিয়া দায়ূদে যাবেচ-গিলিয়দৰ লোকসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ দূত পঠাই তেওঁলোকক এইবুলি কোৱালে, “তোমালোকে নিজ প্ৰভু চৌলক মৈদাম দি, আনুগত্য দেখুৱাই যি দয়া ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিলা, তাৰ বাবে তোমালোক যিহোৱাৰ আশীৰ্ব্বাদ-প্ৰাপ্ত থ’লো।
And David sent messengers to the rulers of Jabis of the country of Galaad, and David said to them, Blessed be you of the Lord, because you have wrought this mercy toward your lord, even toward Saul the anointed of the Lord, and you have buried him and Jonathan his son.
6 ৬ এতিয়া যিহোৱাই তোমালোকলৈ আনুগত্য অংগীকাৰ আৰু বিশ্ৱস্ততাৰে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰক৷ আৰু তোমালোকে সেই কাৰ্য কৰা হেতুকে, ময়ো তোমালোকলৈ সেই দয়াৰ বাবে অনুগ্ৰহ কৰিম।
And now may the Lord deal in mercy and truth towards you: and I also will requite towards you this good deed, because you have done this.
7 ৭ এই হেতুকে এতিয়া তোমালোকৰ হাত সবল হওঁক আৰু সাহিয়াল হোৱা, কিয়নো তোমালোকৰ প্ৰভু চৌলৰ মৃত্যু হোৱাত, যিহূদা বংশই তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত মোকেই ৰজা অভিষেক কৰিলে।”
And now let your hands be made strong, and be valiant; for your master Saul is dead, and moreover the house of Juda have anointed me to be king over them.
But Abenner, the son of Ner, the commander-in-chief of Saul's army, took Jebosthe son of Saul, and brought him up from the camp to Manaem
9 ৯ তেওঁ ঈচবোচতক গিলিয়দৰ, অচুৰীয়াসকলৰ, যিজ্ৰিয়েলৰ, ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ, বিন্যামীনৰ আৰু গোটেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত ৰজা পাতিলে।
and made him king over the land of Galaad, and over Thasiri, and over Jezrael, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over all Israel.
10 ১০ চৌলৰ পুত্ৰ ঈচ্বোচতৰ চল্লিশ বছৰ বয়সত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত ৰাজত্ব কৰিবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰি দুবছৰলৈ ৰাজ্য শাসন কৰিলে৷ কিন্তু যিহূদাৰ বংশ দায়ূদৰ পাছত চলোঁতা আছিল।
Jebosthe, Saul's son [was] forty years old, when he reigned over Israel; and he reigned two years, but not over the house of Juda, who followed David.
And the days which David reigned in Chebron over the house of Juda were seven years and six months.
And Abenner the son of Ner went forth, and the servants of Jebosthe the son of Saul, from Manaem to Gabaon.
13 ১৩ এনেতে চৰূয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যোৱাব আৰু দায়ূদৰ দাসবোৰ ওলাই গিবিয়োনৰ পুখুৰীৰ ওচৰত তেওঁলোকৰ সন্মুখত উপস্থিত হ’ল৷ এদল পুখুৰীৰ ইপাৰে আন দল পুখুৰীৰ সিপাৰে বহিল।
And Joab the son of Saruia, and the servants of David, went forth from Chebron, and met them at the fountain of Gabaon, at the same place: and these sat down by the fountain on this side, and those by the fountain on that side.
14 ১৪ তেতিয়া অবনেৰে যোৱাবক ক’লে, “বিনয় কৰোঁ, ডেকাসকলে উঠি আমাৰ আগত যুদ্ধ-ক্ৰীড়া কৰক।” তেতিয়া যোৱাবে ক’লে, “তেওঁলোক উঠক।”
And Abenner said to Joab, Let now the young men arise, and play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.
15 ১৫ তেতিয়া সেই ডেকা লোকসকলে সংখ্যা অনুসাৰে, চৌলৰ পুত্ৰ ঈচ্বোচতৰ আৰু বিন্যামীনৰ পক্ষে বাৰজন আৰু দায়ূদৰ দাসবোৰৰ বাৰজন, উঠি একে লগে গোট খালে।
And there arose and passed over by number twelve of the children of Benjamin, belonging to Jebosthe the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.
16 ১৬ সিহঁত প্ৰতিজনে নিজৰ অহিতে যুদ্ধ কৰাজনৰ মূৰত ধৰি কাষত তৰোৱালেৰে খোচাত, সকলো একেলগে মৰা পৰিল; এই হেতুকে সেই ঠাই “হিল্কৎ-হচুৰীম” বা “তৰোৱালবোৰৰ ক্ষেত্ৰ” নামেৰে প্ৰখ্যাত হ’ল; সেয়ে গিবিয়োনত আছে।
And they seized every one the head of his neighbor with his hand, and his sword [was thrust] into the side of his neighbor, and they fall down together: and the name of that place was called The portion of the treacherous ones, which is in Gabaon.
And the battle was very severe on that day; and Abenner and the men of Israel were worsted before the servants of David.
18 ১৮ সেই ঠাইত যোৱাব, অবীচয় আৰু অচাহেল নামেৰে চৰূয়াৰ এই তিনিজন পুত্ৰ আছিল৷ অচাহেল বনৰীয়া হৰিণৰ নিচিনা বেগী আছিল।
And there were there the three sons of Saruia, Joab, and Abessa, and Asael: and Asael was swift in his feet as a roe in the field.
And Asael followed after Abenner, and turned not to go to the right hand or to the left from following Abenner.
And Abenner looked behind him, and said, Are you Asael himself? and he said, I am.
21 ২১ তাতে অবনেৰে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমি সোঁহাতে বা বাওঁহাতে ঘূৰি, সৌ ডেকাসকলৰ কোনো এজনক ধৰি তেওঁ পিন্ধা গাৰ কৱচ লোৱাগৈ।” কিন্তু অচাহেলে তেওঁৰ পাছত খেদি যোৱাৰ পৰা ঘূৰিবলৈ মান্তি নহ’ল।
And Abenner said to him, Turn you to the right hand or to the left, and lay hold for yourself on one of the young men, and take to yourself his armor: but Asel would not turn back from following him.
22 ২২ গতিকে অবনেৰে অচাহেলক পুনৰায় ক’লে, “মোৰ পাছৰ পৰা ঘূৰা; মই কিয় তোমাক আঘাত কৰি মাটিত পেলাম? আৰু তাকে কৰিলে তোমাৰ ককায়েৰ যোৱাবৰ আগত মই কিদৰে মুখ দেখুৱাম?”
And Abenner said yet again to Asael, Stand aloof from me, lest I strike you to the ground? and how should I lift up my face to Joab?
23 ২৩ তথাপি অচাহেলে ঘূৰিবলৈ মান্তি নহ’ল; এইকাৰণে অবনেৰে বৰছাৰ কুৰাৰে তেওঁৰ পেটত এনেকৈ খুচিলে যে, কুৰাডাল পিঠিয়েদি বাহিৰ ওলাল৷ তেতিয়া তেওঁ সেই ঠাইতে পৰি তেতিয়াই মৰিল৷ যি ঠাইত অচাহেল পৰি মৃত্যু হৈছিল, সেই ঠাইত যিমান লোক আহিল, সেই সকলো তাতেই থিয় হৈ ৰ’ল।
And what does this mean? return to Joab your brother? But he would not stand aloof; and Abenner smites him with the hinder end of the spear on the loins, and the spear went out behind him, and he falls there and dies on the spot: and it came to pass that every one that came to the place where Asael fell and died, stood still.
24 ২৪ কিন্তু যোৱাব আৰু অবীচয়ে অবনেৰৰ পাছে পাছে খেদি গ’ল। পাছত বেলি মাৰ যাওঁতে, তেওঁলোকে গিবিয়োন মৰুপ্ৰান্তৰ বাটৰ ওচৰত থকা গীহৰ সন্মুখৰ অম্মা পৰ্ব্বত পালেগৈ৷
And Joab and Abessa pursued after Abenner, and the sun went down: and they went as far as the hill of Amman, which is in the front of Gai, by the desert way of Gabaon.
And the children of Benjamin who followed Abenner gather themselves together, and they formed themselves into one body, and stood on the top of a hill.
26 ২৬ তেতিয়া অবনেৰে যোৱাবক মাতি ক’লে, “তৰোৱালে জানো সদাকাল গ্ৰাস কৰিব পাৰিব? শেষত ইয়াৰ ফল যে অতি তিক্ত হ’ব, তাক তুমি নাজানানে? এই হেতুকে তুমি নিজ ভাইসকলৰ পাছে পাছে খেদি অহাৰ পৰা ওভোটাবলৈ, নিজৰ লোকসকলক কিমান কাললৈ আজ্ঞা নিদিয়াকৈ থাকিবা?”
And Abenner called Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour perpetually? know you not that it will be bitter at last? How long then will you refuse to tell the people to turn from following our brethren?
27 ২৭ তেতিয়া যোৱাবে ক’লে, “যিহোৱাৰ জীৱনৰ শপত, তুমি কথা নোকোৱা হ’লে, ৰাতিপুৱাই লোকসকলে নিশ্চয়ে গুচি গ’লহেঁতেন আৰু প্ৰতিজনে নিজ নিজ ভাইৰ পাছত খেদি নগ’লহেঁতেন!”
And Joab said, As the Lord lives, if you had not spoken, even from the morning the people had gone up every one from following his brother.
28 ২৮ তেতিয়া যোৱাবে শিঙা বজোৱাত, সকলো মানুহ ৰ’ল আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ পাছত কোনেও খেদি নগ’ল আৰু যুদ্ধও নকৰিলে।
And Joab sounded the trumpet, and all the people departed, and did not pursue after Israel, and did not fight any longer.
29 ২৯ তাৰ পাছত অবনেৰ আৰু তেওঁৰ লোকসকলে অৰাবায়েদি গোটেই ৰাতি যাত্ৰা কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে যৰ্দ্দন পাৰ হৈ পাছদিনা ৰাতিপুৱা যাত্ৰা কৰি মহনয়িম গৈ পালে।
And Abenner and his men departed at evening, [and went] all that night, and crossed over Jordan, and went along the whole adjacent [country], and they come to the camp.
30 ৩০ তেতিয়া যোৱাবে অবনেৰৰ পাছত খেদি যোৱাৰ পৰা উভতি আহিল আৰু আটাই লোকক তেওঁ গোট খুৱালে; কিন্তু দায়ূদৰ ঊন্নৈশজন সৈন্য আৰু অচাহেলকক নাপালে।
And Joab returned from following Abenner, and he assembled all the people, and there were missing of the people of David, nineteen men, and Asael.
31 ৩১ কিন্তু দায়ূদৰ দাসবোৰে বিন্যামীন আৰু অবনেৰৰ লোকসকলক এনেকৈ আঘাত কৰিলে যে, তেওঁলোকৰ তিনিশ ষাঠিজন লোক মৰিল।
And the servants of David struck of the children of Benjamin, of the men of Abenner, three hundred and sixty men belonging to him.
32 ৩২ তেতিয়া লোকসকলে অচাহেলক তুলি কৰিলে যে, বৈৎলেহেমত থকা তেওঁৰ পিতৃৰ মৈদামতে মৈদাম দিলে৷ যোৱাব আৰু তেওঁৰ লোকসকল ওৰে ৰাতি যাত্ৰা কৰি ৰাতিপুৱা হিব্ৰোণ পালেগৈ।
And they take up Asael, and bury him in the tomb of his father in Bethleem. And Joab and the men with him went all the night, and the morning rose upon them in Chebron.
