1 ১ ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোৱাহজৰ পুত্ৰ যিহোৱাচৰ ৰাজত্ব কালৰ দ্বিতীয় বছৰত যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ অমচিয়াই ৰাজত্ব কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.
2 ২ তেওঁ পঁচিশ বছৰ বয়সত ৰজা হৈ যিৰূচালেমত ঊনত্ৰিশ বছৰ ৰাজত্ব কৰিছিল। তেওঁৰ মাকৰ নাম আছিল যিহোৱাদ্দন। তেওঁ যিৰূচালেম নগৰৰ বাসিন্দা আছিল।
He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
3 ৩ যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত যি ন্যায়, তেওঁ তাকে কৰিছিল; তথাপিও তেওঁৰ পূর্বপুৰুষ দায়ূদৰ নিচিনা নাছিল; তেওঁ তেওঁৰ পিতৃ যোৱাচৰ দৰে সকলো কৰ্ম কৰিছিল।
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.
Nevertheless the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.
5 ৫ ৰাজ্য তেওঁৰ অধীনলৈ অহাৰ পাছতেই যি দাসবোৰে ৰজা অর্থাৎ তেওঁৰ পিতৃক বধ কৰিছিল, তেওঁলোকক তেওঁ বধ কৰিলে।
And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.
6 ৬ কিন্তু ঘাতকসকলৰ পুত্রসকলক হ’লে তেওঁ বধ কৰা নাছিল; মোচিৰ বিধান পুস্তকত যি লিখা আছিল, তেওঁ সেই দৰেই তেওঁলোকক বধ নকৰিলে। সেই পুস্তকত যিহোৱাই এইদৰে কৈছে, “সন্তানৰ কাৰণে পিতৃক অথবা পিতৃ-মাতৃৰ কাৰণে সন্তানক মৃত্যুদণ্ডৰে দণ্ডিত কৰা উচিত নহ’ব। কিন্তু প্ৰতিজনে তেওঁৰ নিজ নিজ পাপৰ কাৰণে মৰিব লাগিব।”
But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
7 ৭ অমচিয়াই লৱণ উপত্যকাত দহ হাজাৰ ইদোমীয়া লোকক বধ কৰিলে আৰু যুদ্ধত চেলা নগৰ অধিকাৰ কৰি সেই ঠাইৰ নাম যক্তিয়েল ৰাখিলে; সেই নাম আজিলৈকে আছে।
He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.
8 ৮ তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ যেহূৰ নাতি, অর্থাৎ যিহোৱাহজৰ পুত্ৰ ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোৱাচলৈ মানুহ পঠাই ক’লে, “আহঁক, আমি যুদ্ধৰ কাৰণে মুখা-মুখি হওঁ।”
Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.
9 ৯ কিন্তু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোৱাচে উত্তৰত যিহূদাৰ ৰজা অমচিয়ালৈ কৈ পঠালে, “লিবানোনৰ এজোপা কাঁইট গছে লিবানোনৰেই এৰচ গছজোপালৈ কৈ পঠালে, ‘মোৰ পুত্রৰ লগত আপোনাৰ ছোৱালীক বিয়া দিয়ক।’ তাৰ পাছত লিবানোনত থকা এটা বন্য জন্তুৱে ঘূৰি-ফুৰি আহি সেই কাঁইট গছজোপাক গছকি মাৰিলে।
And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.
10 ১০ ইদোমক পৰাজয় কৰি নিশ্চয় আপোনাৰ মনত অহংকাৰ হৈছে। গতিকে জয়ৰ অহংকাৰ কৰক; তথাপিও ঘৰতে থাকক। কিয় নিজলৈ বিপদ মাতি আনিছে আৰু তাৰ লগতে নিজৰ আৰু যিহূদাৰো ধ্বংস মাতি আনিছে?”
You have indeed smitten Edom, and your heart has lifted you up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why should you meddle to your hurt, that you should fall, even you, and Judah with you?
11 ১১ কিন্তু অমচিয়াই সেই কথালৈ কাণ নিদিলে। সেয়ে, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোৱাচে তেওঁক আক্রমণ কৰিলে; তেওঁ আৰু যিহূদাৰ ৰজা অমচিয়াই যিহূদাৰ বৈৎচেমচত ইজনে সিজনৰ মুখা-মুখি হ’ল।
But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Bethshemesh, which belongs to Judah.
And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.
13 ১৩ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোৱাচে বৈৎচেমচত যিহূদাৰ ৰজা অমচিয়াক বন্দী কৰি যিৰূচালেমলৈ লৈ আহিল। অমচিয়া যোৱাচৰ পুত্র আৰু অহজিয়াৰ নাতি আছিল। তাৰ পাছত ৰজা যিহোৱাচে যিৰূচালেমলৈ আহি ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ দুৱাৰৰ পৰা কোণৰ দুৱাৰ পর্যন্ত প্ৰায় চাৰিশ হাত দীঘল যিৰূচালেমৰ প্রাচীৰ ভাঙি পেলালে।
And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
14 ১৪ যিহোৱাৰ গৃহত পোৱা সোণ, ৰূপ আৰু আনসকলো বস্তু আৰু ৰাজগৃহৰ ভঁৰালত থকা সকলো মূল্যবান বস্তুবোৰ লৈ গ’ল। তাৰ বাহিৰেও জামিন হিচাপে অনেক লোকক বন্দী কৰি যিহোৱাচ চমৰিয়ালৈ উলটি গ’ল।
And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and hostages, and returned to Samaria.
15 ১৫ যিহোৱাচে কৰা কাৰ্যৰ অন্যান্য বৃতান্ত, তেওঁৰ পৰাক্ৰমৰ কথা আৰু যিহূদাৰ অমচিয়া ৰজাৰ লগত তেওঁ যুদ্ধ কৰা কথা জানো “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ ইতিহাস” পুস্তকখনত লিখা নাই?
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
16 ১৬ পাছত যিহোৱাচ তেওঁৰ পূর্বপুৰুষসকলৰ লগত নিদ্ৰিত হ’ল আৰু চমৰিয়াত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ লগত তেওঁক মৈদাম দিয়া হ’ল; তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ যাৰবিয়াম তেওঁৰ পদত ৰজা হ’ল।
And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his position.
17 ১৭ ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোৱাহজৰ পুত্ৰ যিহোৱাচৰ মৃত্যুৰ পাছত যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ অমচিয়াই আৰু পোন্ধৰ বছৰ জীয়াই থাকিল।
And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.
And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
19 ১৯ তেওঁলোকে যিৰূচালেমত অমিচিয়াৰ বিৰুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁ লাখীচলৈ পলাই গ’ল। কিন্তু লোকসকলে লাখীচলৈকে তেওঁৰ পাছত মানুহ পঠাই তেওঁক তাত বধ কৰিলে।
Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.
20 ২০ তেওঁলোকে তেওঁৰ শৱটো ঘোঁৰাৰ পিঠিত তুলি যিৰূচালেমলৈ লৈ আনিলে আৰু দায়ুদৰ নগৰত তেওঁৰ পূর্বপুৰুষসকলৰ লগত তেওঁক মৈদাম দিয়া হ’ল।
And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.
21 ২১ পাছত যিহূদাৰ সকলো লোকে অজৰিয়াক তেওঁৰ পিতৃ অমচিয়াৰ পদত ৰজা পাতিলে। তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ বয়স আছিল ষোল্ল বছৰ।
And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.
22 ২২ ৰজা অমচিয়া তেওঁৰ পূর্বপুৰুষসকলৰ লগত নিদ্ৰিত হোৱাৰ পাছত, ৰজা অজৰিয়াই এলৎ নগৰ পুনৰ নির্মাণ কৰিলে আৰু যিহূদাৰ অধীনলৈ আনিলে।
He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
23 ২৩ যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ অমচিয়াৰ ৰাজত্বৰ পোন্ধৰ বছৰৰ সময়ত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা যিহোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ যাৰবিয়ামে চমৰিয়াত ৰজা হ’ল আৰু তেওঁ একচল্লিশ বছৰ ৰাজত্ব কৰিলে।
In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.
24 ২৪ তেওঁ যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত যি বেয়া তাকে কৰিলে আৰু নবাটৰ পুত্র যাৰবিয়ামে ইস্রায়েলৰ দ্বাৰাই যিসকলো পাপ কৰাইছিল, তেওঁ সেইসকলো পাপ কৰি থাকিল; সেইসকলোৰে পৰা তেওঁ আঁতৰ নহ’ল।
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
25 ২৫ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই তেওঁৰ দাস গৎ-হেফৰৰ অমিত্তয়ৰ পুত্ৰ ভাববাদী যোনাৰ দ্বাৰাই যি কথা কৈছিল, সেই কথা অনুসাৰে যাৰবিয়ামে লেব হমাত এলেকাৰ পৰা অৰাবা সমুদ্ৰলৈকে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সীমা পুনৰায় স্থাপন কৰিলে।
He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spoke by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.
26 ২৬ কিয়নো যিহোৱাই দেখিছিল যে, ইস্ৰায়েলত স্বাধীন বা দাস সকলোৱে কেনেৰূপ কষ্ট ভোগ কৰি আছে; তেওঁলোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিবলৈ তাত কোনো নাছিল।
For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.
27 ২৭ যিহেতু যিহোৱাই কোৱা নাছিল যে, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ নাম আকাশৰ তলৰ পৰা লুপ্ত কৰি পেলাব, সেয়ে তেওঁ যিহোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ যাৰবিয়ামৰ দ্বাৰাই তেওঁলোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিলে।
And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
28 ২৮ যাৰবিয়ামৰ অন্যান্য সকলো কাৰ্য, পৰাক্ৰম, আৰু যুদ্ধ জয়ৰ বৃত্তান্ত আৰু এসময়ত যিহূদাৰ অধীনত থকা দম্মেচক আৰু হমাৎ কেনেদৰে তেওঁ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ কাৰণে পুনৰায় অধিকাৰ কৰিলে, সেই কথা জানো “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ ইতিহাস” পুস্তক খনত জানো লিখা নাই?
Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
29 ২৯ পাছত যাৰবিয়াম তেওঁৰ পূর্বপুৰুষ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ লগত নিদ্ৰিত হ’ল আৰু তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ জখৰিয়া তেওঁৰ পদত ৰজা হ’ল।
And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zachariah his son reigned in his position.
