1 ১ আহজে ৰজা হৈ শাসন ভাৰ লওঁতে তেওঁৰ বয়স আছিল, বিশ বছৰ; তেওঁ যিৰূচালেমত ষোল্ল বছৰ ৰাজত্ব কৰিছিল। তেওঁৰ ওপৰ পিতৃ দায়ূদৰ দৰে, যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত যি ন্যায়, সেয়া তেওঁ নকৰিলে৷
Achaz was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and he did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as David his father.
2 ২ তাৰ পৰিৱর্তে তেওঁ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ পথত চলিছিল; আনকি তেওঁ বাল দেৱতাৰ প্ৰতিমাবোৰ কেচাঁ লো সাঁচত ঢালি সাজিছিল।
But he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, for he made graven images.
3 ৩ তাৰ ওপৰি যিহোৱাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ আগৰ পৰা দূৰ কৰা জাতি সমূহৰ ঘিণলগা ৰীতিৰ দৰে, তেওঁ হিন্নোমৰ উপত্যকাত ধূপ জ্বলাইছিল আৰু তেওঁৰ নিজৰ সন্তান সকলক জুইত দগ্ধ কৰিছিল।
And [he sacrificed] to their idols in the valley of Benennom, and passed his children through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel.
4 ৪ তেওঁ পবিত্ৰ ঠাইবোৰত, পৰ্ব্বতৰ ওপৰত আৰু প্ৰত্যেক কেঁচাপতীয়া গছৰ তলত বলিদান কৰিছিল আৰু ধূপ জ্বলাইছিল।
And he burnt incense upon the high places, and upon the roofs, and under every shady tree.
5 ৫ এই হেতুকে তেওঁৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই তেওঁক অৰামৰ ৰজাৰ হাতত শোধাই দিছিল৷ তাতে অৰামীয়াসকলে তেওঁক পৰাজয় কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁৰ অনেক লোকক বন্দী কৰি দম্মেচকলৈ লৈ গ’ল। আহজক ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাৰ হাততো সমৰ্পণ কৰা হ’ল, যিজনে মহা-সংহাৰেৰে তেওঁক পৰাজয় কৰিলে৷
And the Lord his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and he smote him, and took captive of them a great band of prisoners, and carried him to Damascus. Also [God] delivered him into the hands of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
6 ৬ কিয়নো আহজৰ লোকসকল তেওঁলোকৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক ত্যাগ কৰিলে, সেই বাবে ৰমলিয়াৰ পুত্ৰ পেকহে যিহূদাৰ এক লাখ বিশ হাজাৰ লোকক একে দিনাই বধ কৰিলে; তেওঁলোক সকলোৱেই বীৰপুৰুষ আছিল৷
And Phakee the son of Romelias king of Israel, slew in Juda in one day a hundred and twenty thousand mighty men; because they had forsaken the Lord God of their fathers.
7 ৭ জিখ্ৰী নামেৰে এজন শক্তিশালী ইফ্ৰিমীয়া বীৰে ৰাজকোঁৱৰ মাচেয়াক, ঘৰগিৰী অজ্ৰীকামক আৰু ৰজাৰ প্ৰধান মন্ত্ৰী ইল্কানাক বধ কৰিলে।
And Zechri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maasias the king's son, and Ezrican the chief of his house, and Elcana the king's deputy.
8 ৮ তাতে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে, তেওঁলোকৰ দুই লাখ লোকক তেওঁলোকৰ পত্নী আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ ল’ৰা ছোৱালীসকল বন্দী কৰি লৈ গ’ল৷ তেওঁলোকে অনেক বস্তু লুট কৰিলে, আৰু সেই লুটদ্ৰব্যবোৰ চমৰিয়ালৈ লৈ গ’ল।
And the children of Israel took captive of their brethren three hundred thousand, women, and sons, and daughters, and they spoiled them of much property, and brought the spoils to Samaria.
9 ৯ কিন্তু ওদেদ নামেৰে যিহোৱাৰ এজন ভাববাদী সেই ঠাইত আছিল৷ তেওঁ চমৰিয়ালৈ অহা সেই সৈন্যসামন্তৰ লগত সাক্ষাৎ কৰিবলৈ বাহিৰ ওলাই গ’ল৷ তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “কিয়নো তোমালোকৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা যিহূদালৈ ক্ৰুদ্ধ হ’ল, সেই কাৰণে তেওঁলোকক তোমালোকৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰিলে; তাতে তোমালোকে আকাশ ঢুকি পোৱা ক্ৰোধেৰে তেওঁলোকক বধ কৰিলা।
And there was there a prophet of the Lord, his name [was] Oded: and he went out to meet the host that were coming to Samaria, and said to them, Behold, the wrath of the Lord God of your fathers [is] upon Juda, and he has delivered them into your hands, and ye have slain them in wrath, and it has reached even to heaven.
10 ১০ এতিয়া যিহূদাৰ আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ লোকসকলক তোমালোকৰ বন্দী আৰু বেটী কৰি, বশত ৰাখিবলৈ মন কৰিছাহঁক৷ কিন্তু তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে তোমালোকৰ নিজৰো জানো পাপবোৰ নাই?
And now ye talk of keeping the children of Juda and Jerusalem for servants and handmaidens. Lo, am I not with you to testify for the Lord your God?
11 ১১ এই হেতুকে এতিয়া মোৰ কথা শুনা: তোমালোকৰ ভাইসকলৰ মাজৰ পৰা বন্দী কৰি অনা লোকসকলক ঘূৰাই পঠিওৱা; কিয়নো যিহোৱাৰ প্ৰচণ্ড ক্ৰোধ তোমালোকৰ ওপৰতো আছে।”
And now hearken to me, and restore the prisoners of your brethren whom ye have taken: for the fierce anger of the Lord [is] upon you.
12 ১২ তেতিয়া ইফ্ৰয়িমৰ সন্তান সকলৰ মাজৰ নির্দিষ্ট কিছুমান অধ্যক্ষ - যিহোহানৰ পুত্ৰ অজৰিয়া, মচিল্লেমোটৰ পুত্ৰ বেৰেখিয়া, চল্লূমৰ পুত্ৰ যিহিষ্কিয়া আৰু সদলয়ৰ পুত্ৰ অমাচাই যুদ্ধ যাত্ৰাৰ পৰা ঘূৰি অহা লোকসকলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে উঠিল;
And the chiefs of the sons of Ephraim rose up, Udias the son of Joanas, and Barachias the son of Mosolamoth, and Ezekias the son of Sellem, and Amasias the son of Eldai, against those that came from the war,
13 ১৩ তেওঁলোকে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “তোমালোকে বন্দী কৰি অনা লোকসকলক এই ঠাইলৈ নানিবা, কিয়নো আমাৰ পাপ আৰু দোষবোৰ বঢ়াবৰ অৰ্থে তোমালোকে যিহোৱাৰ গুৰিত আমাক পুনৰ দোষী কৰিবলৈ মন কৰিছাহঁক; কাৰণ আমাৰ দোষ অধিক আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত প্ৰচণ্ড ক্ৰোধ আছে।”
and said to them, Ye shall not bring in hither the prisoners to us, for whereas sin against the Lord [is] upon us, ye mean to add to our sins, and to our trespass: for our sin [is] great, and the fierce anger of the Lord [is] upon Israel.
14 ১৪ তেতিয়া অস্ত্ৰধাৰী লোকসকলে বন্দী কৰি অনা সেই লোকসকলক আৰু লুটদ্ৰব্যবোৰ অধ্যক্ষসকলৰ আৰু সকলো সমাজৰ আগত এৰি থৈ গ’ল।
So the warriors left the prisoners and the spoils before the princes and all the congregation.
15 ১৫ পাছত অধ্যক্ষসকলৰ দ্ৱাৰাই যিসকলক নাম ধৰি নিযুক্ত কৰা হৈছিল, সেই লোকসকল উঠি আহিল। তেওঁলোকে বন্দী কৰি অনা লোকসকলক লৈ আহিল আৰু সেই লুটদ্ৰব্যৰ বস্তুবোৰ ল’লে, পাছত উদঙে থকা লোকসকলক তেওঁলোকে কাপোৰ পিন্ধালে৷ তেওঁলোকৰ গাত কাপোৰ আৰু ভৰিত পাদুকা দিলে৷ তেওঁলোকক ভোজন পান কৰালে৷ তেওঁলোকৰ আঘাত পোৱা ঘা-বোৰত তেল লগালে আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ মাজৰ অতিশয় দুর্বল লোকসকলক গাধবোৰৰ ওপৰত তুলি দিলে৷ পাছত সেই লোকসকলক যিৰীহো নগৰত থকা তেওঁলোকৰ পৰিয়ালবোৰৰ ওচৰলৈ তেওঁলোকে লৈ গ’ল৷ এই ঠাইক খেজুৰৰ নগৰ বুলি কোৱা হয়৷ তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোক চমৰিয়ালৈ ঘূৰি আহিল।
And the men who were called by name rose up, and took hold of the prisoners, and clothed all the naked from the spoils, and gave them garments and shoes, and gave them [food] to eat, and [oil] to anoint themselves [with], and they helped also every one that was weak with asses, and placed them in Jericho, the city of palm-trees, with their brethren; and they returned to Samaria.
At that time king Achaz sent to the king of Assyria to help him, and on this occasion,
because the Idumeans had attacked [him], and smitten Juda, and taken a number of prisoners.
18 ১৮ পলেষ্টীয়াসকলেও নিম্ন ভূমিৰ আৰু যিহূদাৰ দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলৰ নগৰবোৰ আক্ৰমণ কৰিছিল৷ তেওঁলোকে বৈৎচেমচ, অয়ালোন, গদেৰো, উপনগৰে সৈতে চোকো, উপনগৰে সৈতে তিম্না আৰু উপনগৰে সৈতে গিমজো অধীনত কৰি লৈছিল আৰু সেইবোৰ ঠাইত তেওঁলোকে বাস কৰিছিল।
Also the Philistines had made an attack on the cities of the plain country, and the cities of the south of Juda, and taken Baethsamys, and [the things in the house of the Lord, and the things in the house of the king, and of the princes: and they gave to the king] Aelon, and Galero, and Socho and her villages, and Thamna and her villages, and Gamzo and her villages: and they dwelt there.
19 ১৯ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা আহজৰ কাৰণে যিহোৱাই যিহূদাক নত কৰিলে; কিয়নো তেওঁ যিহূদাত কুআচৰণ আৰু যিহোৱাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে অতিশয় অপৰাধ কৰিছিল।
For the Lord humbled Juda because of Achaz king of Juda, because he grievously departed from the Lord.
And there came against him Thalgaphellasar king of Assyria, and he afflicted him.
21 ২১ কিয়নো অচুৰৰ ৰজাক মূল্যৱান বস্তুবোৰ দিবলৈ আহজে যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ আৰু ৰাজ গৃহৰ পৰা আৰু অধ্যক্ষসকলৰ পৰা ধন সম্পত্তি লৈছিল৷ কিন্তু ইয়াৰ দ্বাৰাই তেওঁৰ একো উপকাৰ নহ’ল৷
And Achaz took the things [that were] in the house of the Lord, and the things in the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave them to the king of Assyria: but he was no help to him,
but only [troubled him] in his affliction: and he departed yet more from the Lord, and king Achaz said,
23 ২৩ কিয়নো তেওঁ নিজকে পৰাজয় কৰা দম্মেচকীয় দেৱতাবোৰৰ উদ্দেশ্যে বলিদান কৰিছিল৷ তেওঁ কৈছিল, “অৰামীয়া ৰজাসকলৰ দেৱতাবোৰে অৰামীয়াসকলক সহায় কৰিলে; এই হেতুকে ময়ো তেওঁলোকৰ উদ্দেশ্যে বলিদান কৰিম; তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে মোকো সহায় কৰিব।” কিন্তু সেইবোৰেই তেওঁৰ আৰু গোটেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সৰ্ব্বনাশৰ কাৰণ হ’ল।
I will seek after the gods of Damascus that smite me. And he said, Forasmuch as the gods of the king of Syria themselves strengthen them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, and they will help me. But they became a stumbling-block to him, and to all Israel.
24 ২৪ পাছত আহজে ঈশ্বৰৰ গৃহৰ পাত্ৰবোৰ গোটাই লৈছিল আৰু সেই সকলো পাত্ৰ কাটি ডোখৰ ডোখৰ কৰিছিল৷ তেওঁ যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ দুৱাৰবোৰ বন্ধ কৰিছিল আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ প্ৰত্যেক চুকত নিজৰ কাৰণে যজ্ঞ-বেদী সাজিছিল।
And Achaz removed the vessels of the house of the Lord, and cut them in pieces, and shut the doors of the house of the Lord, and made to himself altars in every corner in Jerusalem:
25 ২৫ তেওঁ ইতৰ দেৱতাবোৰৰ উদ্দেশ্যে ধূপ জ্বলাবৰ কাৰণে যিহূদাৰ প্ৰত্যেক নগৰত পবিত্ৰ ঠাইবোৰ সাজি তেওঁৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক ক্ৰোধিত হ’বলৈ এইদৰে উত্তেজিত কৰিছিল৷
and in each several city in Juda he made high places to burn incense to strange gods: and they provoked the Lord God of their fathers.
26 ২৬ এতিয়া তেওঁ কৰা সকলো কৰ্ম আৰু তেওঁৰ চৰিত্ৰৰ বৃত্তান্ত প্ৰথমৰে পৰা শেষলৈকে সকলো কথা যিহূদাৰ আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ ইতিহাস-পুস্তকখনত লিখা আছে।
And the rest of his acts, and his deeds, the first and the last, behold, [they are] written in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel.
27 ২৭ আহজ তেওঁৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ লগত নিদ্ৰিত হোৱাৰ পাছত লোকসকলে তেওঁক ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাসকলৰ মৈদামনীত মৈদাম নিদিলে, কিন্তু যিৰূচালেম নগৰৰ মাজত মৈদাম দিলে৷ তাৰ পাছত তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ হিষ্কিয়া তেওঁৰ পদত ৰজা হ’ল।
And Achaz slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David; for they did not bring him into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Ezekias his son reigned in his stead.
