২ বংশাবলি 24
1 ১ যোৱাচে সাত বছৰ বয়সত ৰজা হৈ, যিৰূচালেমত চল্লিশ বছৰ কাল ৰাজত্ব কৰিলে; তেওঁৰ মাক বেৰ-চেবা-নিবাসিনী চিবিয়া আছিল।
Joash was seven years old when he had begun to reign. And he reigned for forty years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Zibiah, from Beersheba.
And he did what is good before the Lord during all the days of Jehoiada, the priest.
3 ৩ যিহোয়াদাই দুজনী ছোৱালী বাছি লৈ যোৱাচৰ লগত বিয়া দিলে; তাতে তেওঁৰ ঔৰসত কেইবাজন পুত্ৰ আৰু কেইবাজনীও জীয়েক জন্ম হ’ল।
Now Jehoiada gave to him two wives, from whom he conceived sons and daughters.
After these things, it pleased Joash to repair the house of the Lord.
5 ৫ তেওঁ পুৰোহিত আৰু লেবীয়াসকলক গোটাই তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “তোমালোকে যিহূদাৰ নগৰবোৰলৈ ওলাই যোৱা আৰু বছৰে বছৰে তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ গৃহৰ মেৰামত কাৰ্য কৰিবলৈ গোটেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ পৰা ৰূপ গোটোৱা, এই কাৰ্য বেগাই কৰা।” কিন্তু লেবীয়াসকলে তাক বেগাই নকৰিলে।
And he gathered together the priests and Levites, and he said to them: “Go out to the cities of Judah, and collect from all of Israel money to repair the surfaces of the temple of your God, throughout each year. And do this promptly.” But the Levites acted negligently.
6 ৬ পাছে ৰজাই প্ৰধান পুৰোহিত যিহোয়াদাক মতাই আনি ক’লে, “সাক্ষ্য ফলিৰ তম্বুৰ বাবে ঈশ্বৰৰ দাস মোচিয়ে আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সমাজে নিৰূপণ কৰা কৰ যিহূদা আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ পৰা আনিবলৈ তুমি লেবীয়াসকলক কিয় কোৱা নাই?”
And the king summoned Jehoiada, the leader, and he said to him: “Why was there no concern with you, so that you would compel the Levites to bring, from Judah and from Jerusalem, the money that was appointed by Moses, the servant of the Lord, so as to bring it, from the entire multitude of Israel, to the tabernacle of the testimony?
7 ৭ কিয়নো সেই দুষ্ট তিৰোতা অথলিয়াৰ পুতেকহঁতে ঈশ্বৰৰ গৃহ ভাঙিছিল আৰু যিহোৱাৰ গৃহত থকা আটাই পবিত্ৰ বস্তু লৈ বাল দেৱতাৰ কাৰণে খৰচ কৰিছিল।
For that very impious woman Athaliah and her sons have destroyed the house of God, and they have adorned the shrine of Baal from all the things that had been sanctified in the temple of the Lord.”
Therefore, the king instructed, and they made an ark. And they placed it beside the gate of the house of the Lord, on the outside.
9 ৯ আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ দাস মোচিয়ে মৰুপ্ৰান্তত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ওপৰত যি বাধ্যতামুলক কৰ স্থিৰ কৰিছিল, তাক যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে আনিবলৈ, যিহূদা আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ সকলো ফালে ঘোষণা কৰা হ’ল।
And they proclaimed, in Judah and Jerusalem, that each one should bring to the Lord the money that Moses, the servant of God, appointed in the desert, concerning all of Israel.
10 ১০ তাতে আটাই অধ্যক্ষসকলে আৰু সকলো প্ৰজাই আনন্দেৰে তাক আনি, কাৰ্য শেষ নোহোৱালৈকে চন্দুকত দি থাকিল।
And all the leaders and all the people rejoiced. And upon entering, they together took and placed so much into the ark of the Lord that it was filled.
11 ১১ আৰু লেবীয়াসকলৰ হতুৱাই চন্দুকটো ৰজাৰ নিযুক্ত লোকসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ নিয়া সময়ত যেতিয়াই তাৰ ভিতৰত অনেক ৰূপ দেখে, ৰাজলিখকে আৰু প্ৰধান পুৰোহিতৰ নিযুক্ত এজন লোকে আহি চন্দুকটো অজৰাই তাক খালি কৰি, পুনৰাই দাঙি নি তাৰ নিজ ঠাইত ৰাখেগৈ; দিনে দিনে এইদৰে কৰি তেওঁলোকে অনেক ৰূপ গোটালে।
And when it was time for them to bring the ark before the king by the hands of the Levites, for they saw that there was much money, the scribe of the king, and the one whom the high priest had appointed, entered. And they poured out the money that was in the ark. Then they carried the ark back to its place. And they did this on each day. And an immense sum of money was gathered.
12 ১২ পাছত ৰজা আৰু যিহোয়াদাই যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ পৰিচৰ্যা কৰা লোকসকলক সেই ৰূপ দিলে৷ তেওঁলোক যিহোৱাৰ গৃহ আগৰ দৰে কৰি ৰাখিবৰ বাবে ভাড়া কৰি অনা ৰাজমিস্ত্ৰী আৰু কাঠমিস্ত্ৰী আৰু যিহোৱাৰ গৃহ মেৰামত কৰিবৰ বাবে লোহাৰ আৰু পিতলৰ কাম কৰোঁতাসকল আছিল।
And the king and Jehoiada gave it to those who were in charge of the works of the house of the Lord. Then with it they hired hewers of stone, and artisans of every kind, so that they might repair the house of the Lord, and also so that the works of iron and of brass, which had begun to fall, would be reinforced.
13 ১৩ তাতে কাম কৰোঁতা সকলে কাম কৰাত, তেওঁলোকৰ দ্বাৰাই সম্পূৰ্ণকৈ কাৰ্য সমাধা কৰা হ’ল; এইদৰে তেওঁলোকে ঈশ্বৰৰ গৃহ আচল নক্সাত মজবুত কৰি প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰিলে।
And those who were hired were working industriously. And the breach in the walls was healed by their hands. And they returned the house of the Lord to a pristine state. And they caused it stand firm.
14 ১৪ কাম কৰি এটোৱাৰ পাছত, তেওঁলোকে বাকী থকা ৰূপখিনি ৰজা আৰু যিহোয়াদাৰ আগলৈ আনিলে৷ তাৰ দ্বাৰাই যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ বাবে নানা পাত্ৰ, অৰ্থাৎ পৰিচৰ্যা কৰা পাত্ৰ আৰু হোম কৰা পাত্ৰ আৰু পিয়লা আদি সোণৰ আৰু ৰূপৰ পাত্ৰ সজা কাৰ্যত ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হৈছিল। আৰু যিহোয়াদাৰ দিনৰ সকলো সময়তে যিহোৱাৰ গৃহত সদায় হোম-বলি দিয়া হৈছিল।
And when they had completed all the works, they brought the remaining part of the money before the king and Jehoiada. And from it, the vessels of the temple were made, for the ministry and for the holocausts, including bowls and other vessels of gold and silver. And holocausts were being offered in the house of the Lord continually, during all the days of Jehoiada.
But Jehoiada was old and full of days. And he died when he was one hundred thirty years old.
16 ১৬ তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক দায়ূদৰ নগৰত ৰজাসকলৰ লগত মৈদাম দিলে; কিয়নো তেওঁ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ সম্পৰ্কে ও ঈশ্বৰৰ গৃহৰ সম্পৰ্কে মঙ্গলজনক কাৰ্য কৰিছিল৷
And they buried him in the City of David, with the kings, because he had done good to Israel and to his house.
17 ১৭ যিহোয়াদাৰ মৃত্যুৰ পাছত, যিহূদাৰ অধ্যক্ষসকলে আহি ৰজাক প্ৰণিপাত কৰিলে৷ তেতিয়া ৰজাই তেওঁলোকৰ কথা শুনিলে।
Then, after Jehoiada passed away, the leaders of Judah entered and reverenced the king. And he was enticed by their obsequiousness, and so he acquiesced to them.
18 ১৮ তেওঁলোকে তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰ পিতৃসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ গৃহ ত্যাগ কৰি, আচেৰা মুৰ্ত্তিবোৰক আৰু নানা প্ৰতিমাবোৰক পূজা কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে৷ তেওঁলোকৰ সেই দোষৰ কাৰণে যিহূদালৈ আৰু যিৰূচালেমলৈ ঈশ্বৰৰ ক্ৰোধ আহিল।
And they abandoned the temple of the Lord, the God of their fathers, and they served sacred groves and graven images. And wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem because of this sin.
19 ১৯ তথাপি যিহোৱালৈ তেওঁলোকক ওভটাই আনিবৰ বাবে তেওঁ ভাববাদীসকলক তেওঁলোকৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠিয়াই দিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকে তেওঁলোকৰ অহিতে সাক্ষ্য দিলে, কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে তাক শুনিবলৈ অমান্তি হ’ল।
And he sent prophets to them, so that they might return to the Lord. And though they were offering testimony, they were not willing to listen to them.
20 ২০ পাছে যিহোয়াদা পুৰোহিতৰ পুত্ৰ জখৰিয়াৰ ওপৰত ঈশ্বৰৰ আত্মা স্থিতি হ’ল; তেওঁ লোকসকলতকৈ ওখ ঠাই এটাত থিয় হৈ তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “ঈশ্বৰে এই কথা কৈছে: ‘তোমালোকে কিয় যিহোৱাৰ আজ্ঞা উলঙ্ঘন কৰিছাহঁক? এইদৰে তোমালোকে কৃতকাৰ্য্য নহ’বা? যিহেতু তোমালোকে যিহোৱাক ত্যাগ কৰিলা, এই হেতুকে তেওঁ তোমালোককো ত্যাগ কৰিলে’৷”
And so the Spirit of God clothed Zechariah, the son of Jehoiada the priest. And he stood in the sight of the people, and he said to them: “Thus says the Lord God: Why have you transgressed the precept of the Lord, though it was not to your benefit, and why have you abandoned the Lord, so that he would then abandon you?”
21 ২১ কিন্তু লোকসকলে তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে চক্ৰান্ত কৰিলে; ৰজাৰ আজ্ঞাৰে যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ চোতালতে তেওঁক শিল দলিয়াই বধ কৰিলে।
And gathering together against him, they stoned him, beside the place of the king, in the atrium of the house of the Lord.
22 ২২ তেওঁৰ পিতৃ যিহোয়াদাই যে ৰজালৈ দয়া কৰিছিল, তাক যোৱাচ ৰজাই সোঁৱৰণ নকৰি যিহোৱাদাৰ পুত্ৰক এইদৰে বধ কৰালে৷ জখৰিয়াই তেওঁৰ মৃত্যুৰ সময়ত কৈছিল, “যিহোৱাই দৃষ্টি কৰি ইয়াৰ প্ৰতিশোধ লওঁক।”
And king Joash did not remember the mercy with which Jehoiada, his father, had treated him; instead he put to death his son. And as he was dying, he said: “May the Lord see and take account.”
23 ২৩ প্ৰায় এবছৰৰ মুৰত অৰামৰ সৈন্য-সামন্ত যোৱাচৰ বিৰুদ্ধে উঠিল৷ তেওঁলোকে যিহূদা আৰু যিৰূচালেমলৈ আহি লোকসকলৰ মাজৰ সকলো অধ্যক্ষক বিনষ্ট কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ আটাই লুটদ্ৰব্য দম্মেচকৰ ৰজাৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠিয়াই দিলে।
And when a year had turned, the army of Syria ascended against him. And they went to Judah and Jerusalem. And they put to death all the leaders of the people. And they sent all the spoils to the king of Damascus.
24 ২৪ কিয়নো যদিও অৰামীয়াসকলৰ অলপ লোক থকা সৈন্য সামন্ত আহিল, তথাপি যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকৰ হাতত, অতিশয় অধিক লোক থকা সৈন্যসামন্তক শোধাই দিলে, কাৰণ যিহূদাৰ লোকসকলে তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰ পিতৃসকলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাক ত্যাগ কৰিলে। এইদৰে অৰামীয়াসকলে যোৱাচৰ ওপৰত বিচাৰ আনিলে।
And although certainly there had arrived a very small number of Syrians, the Lord delivered into their hands an immense multitude. For they had forsaken the Lord, the God of their fathers. Also, against Joash they executed disgraceful judgments.
25 ২৫ অৰামীয়াসকল গুচি যোৱাৰ পাছত যোৱাচ গুৰুত্বৰভাৱে আঘাতপ্ৰাপ্ত হৈছিল৷ তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ দাসবোৰে যিহোয়াদাক পুৰোহিতৰ পুত্ৰসকলৰ ৰক্তপাতৰ কাৰণে চক্ৰান্ত কৰি, তেওঁৰ শয্যাতে তেওঁক বধ কৰিলে, তাতে তেওঁ মৰিল; পাছত তেওঁক দায়ূদৰ নগৰত মৈদাম দিয়া হ’ল, কিন্তু ৰজাসকলৰ মৈদামৰ ঠাইত মৈদাম দিয়া নহ’ল।
And upon departing, they left him greatly debilitated. Then his servants rose up against him, in vengeance for the blood of the son of Jehoiada the priest. And they killed him on his bed, and he died. And they buried him in the City of David, but not in the sepulchers of the kings.
26 ২৬ অম্মোনীয়ানী চিমিয়তৰ পুতেক যাবদ আৰু মোৱাবীয়ানী চিম্ৰীতৰ পুতেক যিহোজাবদ, এই দুজনেই তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে চক্ৰান্ত কৰিছিল।
Truly, those who ambushed him were Zabad, the son of an Ammonite woman named Shimeath, and Jehozabad, the son of a Moabite woman named Shimrith.
27 ২৭ তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰসকলৰ কথা, তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে কোৱা গুৰুতৰ ভাৰবাক্য আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ গৃহ পুনৰায় স্থাপন কৰা কথা ৰজাসকলৰ ইতিহাস-পুস্তকৰ টীকাশাস্ত্ৰখনত লিখা আছে। পাছত তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ অমচিয়া তেওঁৰ পদত ৰজা হ’ল।
But concerning his sons, and the sum of money that had been amassed under him, and the repairing of the house of God, these things have been written more diligently in the book of kings. Then his son, Amaziah, reigned in his place.
