1 ১ মই পৌল, খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুৰ এজন পাঁচনি৷ আমাৰ ত্ৰাণকৰ্তা ঈশ্বৰ আৰু আশাভুমি খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুৰ আজ্ঞা অনুসাৰে নিযুক্ত৷

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Saviour, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,

2 ২ বিশ্বাসী হিচাবে মোৰ এজন প্ৰকৃত পুত্ৰ তীমথিয়ৰ সমীপলৈ, পিতৃ ঈশ্বৰ আৰু আমাৰ প্ৰভু খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুৰ পৰা অনুগ্ৰহ, দয়া আৰু শান্তি হওক।

to Timotheus — genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord,

3 ৩ মাকিদনিয়ালৈ যোৱাৰ সময়ত মই তোমাক যি কৈছিলোঁ, এতিয়াও সেই বিষয়ে কওঁ তুমি ইফিচতে থাকা, তাতে কিছুমান লোকক পুণৰ ভুল শিক্ষা নিদিবলৈ আদেশ দিব পাৰিবা ৷

according as I did exhort thee to remain in Ephesus — I going on to Macedonia — that thou mightest charge certain not to teach any other thing,

4 ৪ কাৰণ তেওঁলোকে বাধাৰহে সৃষ্টি কৰে৷ গল্প-কথা আৰু অন্তহীন বংশ তালিকাত মনোযোগ নিদিবা৷ এইবোৰে অযথা তর্ক-বিতর্কৰ সৃষ্টি কৰে আৰু ঈশ্ৱৰৰ কামত সহায় নকৰে৷ ঈশ্ৱৰৰ কাম বিশ্বাসৰ দ্ৱাৰা হয়৷

nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than the building up of God that is in faith: —

5 ৫ এই আদেশৰ উদ্দেশ্য হৈছে প্ৰেম; যি প্ৰেম নিৰ্মল চিত্ত, সৎ বিবেক আৰু অকপট বিশ্বাসৰ পৰা হয়৷

And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned,

6 ৬ এইবোৰৰ পৰা কোনো কোনো এফলীয়া হৈ অনৰ্থক কথাৰ বাবে বিপথে গ’ল৷

from which certain, having swerved, did turn aside to vain discourse,

7 ৭ তেওঁলোকে বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক হবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰে, কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ কথা নিজেই নুবুজে বা যি বিষয়ে জোৰ দি কয়, সেই সম্বন্ধেও নাজানে৷

willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they asseverate,

8 ৮ কিন্তু বিধান যে কোনো লোকে আইনসংগত ভাৱে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিলে উত্তম হয়, ইয়াক আমি জানো;

and we have known that the law [is] good, if any one may use it lawfully;

9 ৯ তথাপি, বিধান ধাৰ্মিক লোকৰ নহয়, কিন্তু সেয়া দিয়া হৈছিল, সেই লোক সকলৰ কাৰণে, যি সকল বিধানহীন আৰু বিদ্ৰোহী, ভক্তিহীন আৰু পাপী, অপবিত্ৰ আৰু অধার্মিক, যি সকল পিতৃবধী, মাতৃবধী, নৰবধী,

having known this, that for a righteous man law is not set, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, parricides and matricides, men-slayers,

10 ১০ ব্যভিচাৰী, সমকামী, দাস বিক্ৰীৰ সৰবৰাহকাৰী, মিছলীয়া, মিছা সাক্ষী আৰু যি সকলে সত্য শিক্ষাৰ বিপৰীতে আন কিবা কাম কৰা, মিছা শপতকাৰী,

whoremongers, sodomites, men-stealers, liars, perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that to sound doctrine is adverse,

11 ১১ পৰমধন্য ঈশ্বৰৰ গৌৰৱময় শুভবাৰ্তা অনুসাৰে সেই শিক্ষাৰ ভাৰ তেওঁ মোৰ ওপৰত দিলে৷

according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.

12 ১২ যিজনাই মোক শক্তি দিলে আৰু মোক বিশ্বাসী জ্ঞান কৰি পৰিচৰ্যা পদত নিযুক্ত কৰিলে, সেই প্ৰভু খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুক মই ধন্যবাদ জনাওঁ৷

And I give thanks to him who enabled me — Christ Jesus our Lord — that he did reckon me stedfast, having put [me] to the ministration,

13 ১৩ যদিও আগেয়ে মই খ্ৰীষ্টৰ নিন্দক আছিলোঁ, অত্যাচাৰী আৰু হিংস্ৰ আছিলোঁ, তথাপি তেওঁ মোক দয়া কৰিলে কাৰণ মই নুবুজি অবিশ্বাসী হৈ সেইবোৰ কৰিছিলোঁ৷

who before was speaking evil, and persecuting, and insulting, but I found kindness, because, being ignorant, I did [it] in unbelief,

14 ১৪ কিন্তু আমাৰ প্ৰভুৰ অনুগ্ৰহ, খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুত বিশ্বাস আৰু প্ৰেমৰ সৈতে মোক বাহুল্যৰূপে দিয়া হ’ল৷

and exceedingly abound did the grace of our Lord, with faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus:

15 ১৫ পাপী লোকৰ পৰিত্ৰাণ কৰিবৰ কাৰণে খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচু যে জগতলৈ আহিল, এই কথা বিশ্বাসযোগ্য আৰু সকলোৱে গ্ৰহণ কৰিবৰ যোগ্য৷ আৰু এই পাপী লোকৰ মাজত ময়েই প্ৰধান।

stedfast [is] the word, and of all acceptation worthy, that Christ Jesus came to the world to save sinners — first of whom I am;

16 ১৬ এই কাৰণেই মোক প্ৰথমে দয়া কৰা হ’ল যাতে প্ৰধান পাপী যি মই, মোৰ যোগেদি যেন যীচু খ্ৰীষ্টই তেওঁৰ অসীম সহনশীলতা দেখুৱাব পাৰে আৰু অনন্ত জীৱন পাবলৈ যি সকলে তেওঁৰ ওপৰত বিশ্বাস কৰিব, সেই সকলৰ বাবে মোক এক দৃষ্টান্ত স্ৱৰূপে ৰাখিলে৷ (aiōnios g166)

but because of this I found kindness, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all long-suffering, for a pattern of those about to believe on him to life age-during: (aiōnios g166)

17 ১৭ এতিয়া অনন্ত কালৰ ৰজালৈ, অাৰু চিৰস্থায়ী, অদৃশ্য একমাত্ৰ ঈশ্বৰলৈ মৰ্যদা আৰু গৌৰৱ চিৰকাল হওক। আমেন। (aiōn g165)

and to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honour and glory — to the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

18 ১৮ মই তোমাক এই আদেশ দিওঁ, হে মোৰ পুত্ৰ তীমথিয়; মই তোমাৰ সম্বন্ধে জনোৱা ভাৱবাণীৰ দৰে, তুমি তাতে একমত হৈ সেই অনুসাৰে যেন উত্তম যুজঁত প্ৰাণপণ কৰা৷

This charge I commit to thee, child Timotheus, according to the prophesies that went before upon thee, that thou mayest war in them the good warfare,

19 ১৯ আৰু তুমি যেন বিশ্ৱাস আৰু উত্তম বিবেক ৰক্ষা কৰি চলা৷ কোনো কোনো লোকে সেই বিশ্ৱাস আৰু উত্তম বিবেক ত্যাগ কৰাত, তেওঁলোকৰ বিশ্বাসৰূপ নৌকা ভগ্ন হ’ল।

having faith and a good conscience, which certain having thrust away, concerning the faith did make shipwreck,

20 ২০ তেওঁলোকৰ ভিতৰত হুমিনায় আৰু আলেকজেন্দাৰ নামৰ দুজনো আছে৷ এওঁলোকে যেন নিন্দা কৰিবলৈ পুণৰ নিশিকে, তাৰ বাবে মই এওঁলোকক চয়তানৰ হাতত সমর্পণ কৰি দিলোঁ৷

of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I did deliver to the Adversary, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
