১ পিতৰ 4

1 ১ এতেকে, খ্ৰীষ্টই মাংসত দুখভোগ কৰাৰ কাৰণে, নিজকে সেই একে অভিপ্ৰায়েৰে সুসজ্জিত কৰক৷ যি জনে মাংসত দুখভোগ কৰে, সেই জনে পাপৰ পৰা ক্ষান্ত হয়৷

Christ, then, having suffered for us in the flesh, ye also with the same mind arm yourselves, because he who did suffer in the flesh hath done with sin,

2 ২ এনে ব্যক্তিয়ে মাংসিক অভিলাষত দীর্ঘ সময় জীৱন-যাপন নকৰে৷ কিন্তু ঈশ্বৰৰ ইচ্ছাৰ দৰে মানৱ জীৱনৰ অৱশিষ্ট সময় কটায়৷

no more in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh;

3 ৩ যিহেতু অনা-ইহুদী সকলে কৰি অহা, ইন্দ্ৰিয়পৰায়ণতা, আবেগ, সুৰাসক্ত, পানার্থক আমোদ-প্ৰমোদ, ঘিণলগীয়া মূৰ্তিপূজা - এইবোৰত যি সময় পাৰ কৰিলে সেয়াই যথেষ্ট৷

for sufficient to us [is] the past time of life the will of the nations to have wrought, having walked in lasciviousnesses, desires, excesses of wines, revellings, drinking-bouts, and unlawful idolatries,

4 ৪ তাতে আপোনালোকে তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে সেইবোৰ কর্ম নকৰা দেখি তেওঁলোকে আচৰিত মানি আপোনালোকক নিন্দা কৰে।

in which they think it strange — your not running with them to the same excess of dissoluteness, speaking evil,

5 ৫ কিন্তু যি জন জীৱিত আৰু মৃত লোক সকলৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ কৰিবলৈ যুগুত আছে, তেওঁৰ আগত তেওঁলোকে হিচাব দিব লাগিব।

who shall give an account to Him who is ready to judge living and dead,

6 ৬ কিয়নো যি সকল মৰিল, তেওঁলোকৰ আগত এই অভিপ্ৰায়েৰে শুভবাৰ্তা প্ৰচাৰ কৰা হৈছিল, যদিও তেওঁলোকৰ বিচাৰ যিহেতু মানৱ শৰীৰত হব, আত্মাত তেওঁলোক সেই অনুসাৰে ঈশ্ৱৰলৈ জীৱিত৷

for for this also to dead men was good news proclaimed, that they may be judged, indeed, according to men in the flesh, and may live according to God in the spirit.

7 ৭ কিন্তু সকলোৰে শেষ ওচৰ চাপিছে; এতেকে প্ৰাৰ্থনাৰ কাৰণে সুবোধ আৰু সচেতন হৈ থাকক;

And of all things the end hath come nigh; be sober-minded, then, and watch unto the prayers,

8 ৮ বিশেষকৈ আপোনালোকৰ মাজত পৰস্পৰে আগ্ৰহযুক্ত প্ৰেম ৰাখক; কিয়নো প্ৰেমে আনৰ পাপ সমূহ নিবিচাৰে।

and, before all things, to one another having the earnest love, because the love shall cover a multitude of sins;

9 ৯ আপত্তি নকৰাকৈ ইজন-সিজনৰ প্ৰতি অতিথিপৰায়ণ হওক।

hospitable to one another, without murmuring;

10 ১০ আপোনালোকে যেনেকৈ প্ৰতিজনে অনুগ্ৰহৰ বৰ পালে, তেনেকৈ ঈশ্বৰৰ বহুবিধ অনুগ্ৰহৰূপ ধনৰ উত্তম তত্ৱাৱধায়কৰদৰে, আপোনালোকে পৰস্পৰক সেৱা শুশ্ৰূষা কৰক;

each, according as he received a gift, to one another ministering it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;

11 ১১ যদি কোনোৱে কথা কয়, তেনেহলে ঈশ্বৰৰ বাক্যৰদৰে কওক; যদি কোনোৱে সেৱা শুশ্ৰূষা কৰে, তেনেহলে ঈশ্বৰে দিয়া শক্তি অনুসাৰে কৰক; এইদৰে সকলো বিষয়তে যীচু খ্ৰীষ্টৰ দ্বাৰাই ঈশ্বৰ মহিমান্বিত হয়; তেওঁৰেই মহিমা আৰু পৰাক্ৰম চিৰকাল হওক। আমেন। (aiōn g165)

if any one doth speak — 'as oracles of God;' if any one doth minister — 'as of the ability which God doth supply;' that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the power — to the ages of the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

12 ১২ হে প্ৰিয় লোক সকল, আপোনালোকক পৰীক্ষা কৰিবৰ কাৰণে আপোনালোকৰ মাজত যি অগ্নিময় কষ্টৰ জুই জ্ৱলিছে, এইবোৰত আপোনালোকে বিস্মিত নহ’ব, কোনো অদ্ভুত বিষয় ঘটিছে বুলি মনত নাভাবিব৷

Beloved, think it not strange at the fiery suffering among you that is coming to try you, as if a strange thing were happening to you,

13 ১৩ কিন্তু খ্ৰীষ্টৰ দুখভোগৰ সহভাগী হোৱা বাবে আপোনালোকে আনন্দ কৰক, ইয়াৰ উপৰি তেওঁৰ গৌৰৱ প্ৰকাশিত হোৱা সময়ত আপোনালোকে অধিক আনন্দ আৰু উল্লাস কৰিব পাৰিব।

but, according as ye have fellowship with the sufferings of the Christ, rejoice ye, that also in the revelation of his glory ye may rejoice — exulting;

14 ১৪ আপোনালোক ধন্য, যদি আপোনালোকে খ্ৰীষ্টৰ নামৰ কাৰণে নিন্দিত হয়; কাৰণ ঈশ্ৱৰৰ আত্মা আৰু গৌৰৱৰ আত্মা আপোনালোকৰ ওপৰত স্থিৰ হৈ আছে।

if ye be reproached in the name of Christ — happy [are ye], because the Spirit of glory and of God upon you doth rest; in regard, indeed, to them, he is evil-spoken of, and in regard to you, he is glorified;

15 ১৫ কিন্তু আপোনালোকৰ মাজত কোনেও যেন নৰবধী, চোৰ, কুকৰ্মকাৰী বা পৰচৰ্চ্চাকাৰী বুলি দুখভোগ নকৰক;

for let none of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evil-doer, or as an inspector into other men's matters;

16 ১৬ যদি কোনো এজনে খ্ৰীষ্টিয়ান হোৱা কাৰণে দুখভোগ কৰে, তেনেহলে লজ্জিত নহওক; কিন্তু সেই নামেৰে ঈশ্বৰক মহিমান্বিত কৰক।

and if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; and let him glorify God in this respect;

17 ১৭ কিয়নো ঈশ্বৰৰ পৰিয়াল বর্গৰ সৈতে সোধ-বিচাৰৰ সময় আৰম্ভ হৈছে; আৰু সেয়ে যদি প্ৰথমে আমাৰ সৈতে আৰম্ভ হয়, তেনেহলে ঈশ্বৰৰ শুভবাৰ্তা নমনা সকলৰ শেষগতি কি হ’ব?

because it is the time of the beginning of the judgment from the house of God, and if first from us, what the end of those disobedient to the good news of God?

18 ১৮ আৰু যদি ধাৰ্মিক লোকেই কোনো প্ৰকাৰেহে পৰিত্ৰাণ পায়, তেনেহলে ভক্তিহীন আৰু পাপিষ্ঠ লোকে ক’ত মুখ দেখুৱাব?

And if the righteous man is scarcely saved, the ungodly and sinner — where shall he appear?

19 ১৯ এই কাৰণে যি সকল লোকে ঈশ্বৰৰ ইচ্ছা অনুসাৰে দুখভোগ কৰে, সেই লোক সকলে সৎ কৰ্ম কৰি, নিজ নিজ জীৱাত্মাক বিশ্বাসী সৃষ্টিকৰ্ত্তাৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰক।

so that also those suffering according to the will of god, as to a stedfast Creator, let them commit their own souls in good doing.
