ՅԱԿՈԲՈՒ 3
1 Եղբայրնե՛րս, ձեր մէջ շատ վարդապետներ թող չըլլան, գիտնալով թէ աւելի խստութեամբ պիտի դատուինք՝՝:
Not many [of you] teachers do become brothers of mine, knowing that greater judgment we will receive.
2 Որովհետեւ բոլորս ալ կը սայթաքինք շատ բաներու մէջ. եթէ մէկը չի սայթաքիր խօսքով՝ կատարեալ մարդ է, կարող՝ սանձելու նաեւ ամբողջ մարմինը:
In many ways for we stumble all; If anyone in what he says not does stumble, this one [is] a perfect man, able to bridle indeed all the body.
3 Ահա՛ ձիերուն բերանը սանձ կը դնենք՝ որպէսզի հնազանդին մեզի, եւ կը կառավարենք անոնց ամբողջ մարմինը:
(If *NO) (now *N+K+o) of the horses bits into the mouths we put (for *N+kO) to obey them us, even all the body of them we turn about.
4 Ահա՛ նաւերն ալ, որ ա՛յդչափ մեծ են ու կը քշուին սաստիկ հովերէն, կը կառավարուին ամենափոքր ղեկով մը՝ ի՛նչպէս նաւուղիղը փափաքի:
Behold also the ships, so great being and by winds strong being driven, are turned about by a very small rudder where (ever *k) the impulse [of the one] who is steering (decides. *N+kO)
5 Այդպէս ալ լեզուն պզտիկ անդամ մըն է, բայց կը պարծենայ մեծ բաներով: Ահա՛ ո՜րչափ նիւթ կը վառուի քիչ մը կրակով:
Thus also the tongue a small member is and exceeding things it boasts. Behold (a great *N+kO) fire how great a forest it kindles;
6 Լեզո՛ւն ալ կրակ մըն է, անիրաւութեան աշխարհ մը: Լեզուն ա՛յնպէս դրուած է մեր անդամներուն մէջ, որ կ՚ապականէ ամբողջ մարմինը ու կը բռնկեցնէ բնութեան շրջանը, իսկ ինք կը բռնկի գեհենէն: (Geenna g1067)
Also the tongue [is] a fire, the world of iniquity (thus *k) The tongue is set among the members of us which is defiling all the body and setting on fire the course of nature and [itself] being set on fire by hell. (Geenna g1067)
7 Գազաններու, թռչուններու, սողուններու եւ ծովային արարածներու ամէն բնութիւն՝ կը նուաճուի ու նուաճուած է մարդկային բնութենէն:
All for kinds of beasts both and of birds, of creeping things both and things of the sea is subdued and he has been subdued by the race human;
8 Բայց ո՛չ մէկը կրնայ նուաճել լեզուն. ան անզուսպ չար է, լի մահաբեր թոյնով:
the but tongue no [one] to subdue is able of men; ([it is] an unruly *N+kO) evil, full of poison deadly.
9 Անո՛վ կ՚օրհնաբանենք Աստուած ու Հայրը, եւ անո՛վ կ՚անիծենք մարդիկ՝ որ ստեղծուած են Աստուծոյ նմանութեամբ:
With it we bless the (Lord *N+KO) and Father and with it we curse men those according to [the] likeness of God having been made;
10 Միեւնոյն բերանէն կ՚ելլեն օրհնաբանութիւն եւ անէծք: Եղբայրնե՛րս, պէտք չէ որ այս ա՛յսպէս ըլլայ:
Out of the same mouth proceed forth blessing and cursing. Not ought, brothers of Mine, these things so to be.
11 Միթէ աղբիւր մը միեւնոյն ակէն կը բխեցնէ՞ անոյշ ու դառն ջուր:
surely not ever the spring out of the same opening pours forth [both] fresh and bitter?
12 Եղբայրնե՛րս, թզենին կրնա՞յ ձիթապտուղ տալ, կամ որթատունկը՝ թուզ: Նմանապէս՝ ո՛չ մէկ աղբիւր կրնայ տալ թէ՛ աղի, թէ՛ անոյշ ջուր:
Surely not is able, brothers of mine, a fig tree olives to produce Or a vine figs? (thus *k) (Nor *N+kO) (spring *K) of salt (and *k) fresh to produce water.
13 Ո՛վ որ իմաստուն ու խելացի է ձեր մէջ, բարի վարքո՛վ թող ցոյց տայ իր գործերը՝ իմաստութեան հեզութեամբ:
Who [is] wise and understanding among you? he should show out of the good conduct the works of him in [the] humility of wisdom.
14 Բայց եթէ դառն նախանձ եւ հակառակութիւն ունենաք ձեր սիրտերուն մէջ, ճշմարտութեան դէմ մի՛ պարծենաք ու մի՛ ստէք:
If however jealousy bitter you have and self-interest in the heart of you, not do boast [of it] and do lie against the truth.
15 Այս իմաստութիւնը չ՚իջներ վերէն, հապա՝ երկրային, շնչաւոր եւ դիւական է:
Not is this the wisdom from above coming down, but [is] earthly unspiritual demonic.
16 Որովհետեւ ո՛ւր կայ նախանձ ու հակառակութիւն, հո՛ն կայ խառնակութիւն եւ ամէն տեսակ չար բան:
Where for jealousy and self-interest [exist], there [will be] disorder and every evil thing.
17 Բայց վերէն եղող իմաստութիւնը՝ նախ անկեղծ է, յետոյ՝ խաղաղարար, ազնիւ, հլու, լի ողորմութեամբ ու բարի պտուղներով, անկողմնակալ եւ անկեղծ:
But the from above wisdom first indeed pure is, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and of fruits good, impartial, (and *k) sincere.
18 Արդարութեան պտուղը խաղաղութեամբ կը սերմանուի անոնց միջոցով՝ որ խաղաղութիւն կ՚ընեն:
[The] fruit moreover of righteousness in peace is sown by those making peace.
