ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍ 15
1 Այն ժամանակ Յիսուսին մօտեցան փարիսեցիներ ու օրէնսգէտներ, որոնք Երուսաղէմից էին, եւ ասացին.
THEN came to Jeshu Pharishee and Sophree, who were from Urishlem, saying,
2 «Ինչո՞ւ քո աշակերտները նախնիների աւանդութիւնը զանց են անում, քանի որ, երբ հաց են ուտում, ձեռքները չեն լուանում»:
Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders, and wash not their hands when they eat bread?
3 Նա պատասխան տուեց եւ ասաց նրանց. «Իսկ դուք ինչո՞ւ զանց էք անում Աստծու պատուիրանը՝ ձեր աւանդութեան պատճառով.
Jeshu answered, and said to them, Why also do ye transgress the commandment of Aloha for the sake of your tradition?
4 քանի որ Աստուած ասաց. «Մեծարի՛ր քո հօրը եւ մօրը».
For Aloha hath said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and whoso curseth his father or his mother, to die he shall die:
5 եւ ով վատաբանում է հօրը կամ մօրը, մահուամբ պիտի պատժուի:
but ye say, Every one who shall say to a father, or to a mother, (It is) my oblation whatever thou wouldst be profited by me,
6 Իսկ դուք ասում էք. ով իր հօրը կամ մօրը ասի, թէ՝ այն, ինչ ինձնից օգտուելու ես, Աստծուն ընծայ է, այլեւս չի մեծարի իր հօրը կամ իր մօրը. ուրեմն՝ Աստծու խօսքը արհամարհում էք ձեր աւանդութեան պատճառով:
and shall not honour his father or his mother (shall be guiltless). Thus you have abolished the word of Aloha for the sake of your tradition.
7 Կեղծաւորնե՛ր, Եսային լաւ է մարգարէացել ձեր վրայ եւ ասել.
Ye hypocrites! rightly prophesied concerning you Eshaia the prophet, and said,
8 «Այս ժողովուրդը շրթունքներով է ինձ մեծարում, բայց իրենց սիրտը հեռացած բաժանուած է ինձնից.
This people with the lips honour me, but their heart (is) very far from me.
9 զուր են ինձ պաշտում. մարդկանց կողմից պատուիրուած վարդապետութիւններ են ուսուցանում»:
But in vain they reverence me, while they teach the doctrines of the commandments of men.
10 Եւ Յիսուս իր մօտ կանչելով ժողովրդին՝ ասաց. «Լսեցէ՛ք եւ իմացէ՛ք.
And he called to the multitudes, and said to them, Hear, and understand:
11 ոչ թէ՝ ինչ որ բերանով է մտնում, ա՛յն է պղծում մարդուն, այլ ինչ որ ելնում է բերանից՝ ա՛յն է պղծում մարդուն»:
It is not that which, entering the mouth, contaminates a man; but that which shall come from the mouth, that contaminates a man.
12 Այն ժամանակ նրա աշակերտները մօտեցան եւ ասացին նրան. «Գիտե՞ս, որ փարիսեցիները, երբ այդ խօսքը լսեցին, գայթակղուեցին»:
Then drew near his disciples, saying to him, Knowest thou that the Pharishee who heard this word were offended?
13 Նա պատասխանեց նրանց եւ ասաց. «Ամէն տունկ, որ իմ երկնաւոր Հայրը չի տնկել, արմատախիլ պիտի արուի:
But he answered, and said to them, Every plantation which my Father who is in heaven hath not planted shall be rooted up.
14 Թողէ՛ք նրանց. կոյրեր են, կոյրերի առաջնորդ. երբ կոյրն է առաջնորդում կոյրին, սխալւում է, եւ երկուսն էլ փոսն են ընկնում»:
Leave them: they are blind leaders of the blind; but if a blind man shall lead a blind man, both shall fall into the ditch.
15 Պետրոսը պատասխան տուեց նրան եւ ասաց. «Այս առակը բացատրի՛ր մեզ»:
And Shemun Kipha answered and said, My Lord, expound to us this parable.
16 Յիսուս ասաց. «Դեռեւս դո՞ւք էլ անհասկացող էք.
But he said to them, Do you also not yet understand?
17 չէ՞ք իմանում, թէ ամէն ինչ, որ բերան է մտնում, որովայն է գնում եւ դուրս է ելնում:
Know you not that whatsoever entereth the mouth, goeth into the belly, and from thence in purification it is cast without?
18 Իսկ ինչ ելնում է բերանից, սրտից է գալիս, եւ ա՛յն է մարդուն պղծում,
But whatsoever from the mouth shall come forth, from the heart cometh forth, and this contaminates a child of man.
19 քանի որ սրտից է, որ ելնում են չար խորհուրդներ, սպանութիւններ, շնութիւններ, պոռնկութիւններ, գողութիւններ, սուտ վկայութիւններ, հայհոյանքներ:
For from the heart proceed evil thoughts, adultery, murder, fornication, robbery, false witness, blasphemy.
20 Այս բոլորն են, որ պղծում են մարդուն. իսկ անլուայ ձեռքերով ուտելը մարդուն չի պղծում»:
These are they which defile a man; but if any one eat when his hands are not washed, he is not defiled.
21 Յիսուս այդտեղից ելնելով՝ գնաց Տիւրոսի եւ Սիդոնի կողմերը:
AND Jeshu went forth from thence, and came to the borders of Tsur and Tsaidon.
22 Եւ ահա, այդ շրջաններից եկած քանանացի մի կին աղաղակում էր ու ասում. «Ողորմի՛ր ինձ, Տէ՛ր, Դաւթի՛ Որդի, աղջիկս չարաչար դիւահարւում է»:
And, beheld, a Canaanite woman from those coasts came forth crying, and saying, Have mercy upon me, my Lord, son of David! my daughter is grievously possessed with the demon!
23 Բայց նա նրան պատասխան չտուեց, եւ նրա աշակերտները մօտենալով՝ աղաչում էին նրան ու ասում. «Արձակի՛ր նրան, որովհետեւ մեր յետեւից աղաղակում է»:
But he did not return her an answer. And the disciples approached and requested from him, saying, Dismiss her, for she crieth after us.
24 Նա պատասխան տուեց եւ ասաց. «Այլ տեղ չեմ ուղարկուած, եթէ ոչ Իսրայէլի տան կորուսեալ ոչխարների մօտ»:
But he answered and said to them, I am not sent but to the sheep which have wandered from the house of Israel.
25 Իսկ կինը մօտենալով՝ երկրպագում էր նրան ու ասում. «Տէ՛ր, օգնի՛ր ինձ»:
Then she came, worshipped him, and said, My Lord, help me!
26 Նա պատասխանեց նրան եւ ասաց. «Լաւ չէ մանուկների հացն առնել ու շներին գցել»:
Jeshu said to her, It is not proper to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.
27 Եւ նա ասաց. «Այո՛, Տէ՛ր, որովհետեւ շներն էլ կերակրւում են իրենց տիրոջ սեղանից ընկած փշրանքներով»:
But she said, Even so, my Lord; yet the dogs eat from the crumbs that fall from the tables of their masters, and live.
28 Այն ժամանակ նրան պատասխանեց եւ ասաց. «Ո՛վ կին, մեծ է քո հաւատը, թող քեզ լինի՝ ինչպէս որ կամենում ես»: Եւ նրա դուստրը նոյն ժամին բժշկուեց:
Then said Jeshu to her, O woman, great is thy faith! be it to thee as thou wilt! And healed was her daughter from that hour.
29 Եւ Յիսուս մեկնելով այդտեղից՝ եկաւ Գալիլիայի ծովեզերքը եւ, լեռը բարձրանալով, նստեց այնտեղ:
And Jeshu passed from thence, and came near the sea of Galila; and he ascended the mountain and sat there.
30 Նրան մօտեցաւ բազում ժողովուրդ. նրանց մէջ կային կաղեր, կոյրեր, համրեր, հաշմուածներ եւ ուրիշ շատեր: Սրանց բերին գցեցին նրա ոտքերի առջեւ, եւ նա նրանց բժշկեց.
And there drew near to him great gatherings (of people), and with them there were the lame, and the blind, and the dumb, and the mutilated, and many others; and they cast them at the feet of Jeshu, and he healed them.
31 այնպէս որ, ժողովուրդը զարմանում էր՝ տեսնելով, որ համրերը խօսում են, կաղերը՝ քայլում, հաշմանդամները՝ բժշկւում, կոյրերը՝ տեսնում. եւ փառք էին տալիս Իսրայէլի Աստծուն:
So that those multitudes were astounded as they beheld the dumb speaking, and the mutilated made whole, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the Aloha of Isroel.
32 Եւ Յիսուս իր մօտ կանչելով աշակերտներին՝ ասաց. «Խղճում եմ այս ժողովրդին, որովհետեւ ահա երեք օր է, որ ինձ մօտ են եւ բան չունեն, որ ուտեն. եւ նրանց չեմ կամենում սոված արձակել. գուցէ ճանապարհին ուժասպառ լինեն»:
BUT Jeshu himself called his disciples, and said to them, I have pity for this multitude, who, behold, for three days have continued with me, but there is nothing for them to eat; and to send them away fasting, I am unwilling, lest they should faint in the way.
33 Աշակերտները նրան ասացին. «Իսկ այժմ, այս ամայութեան մէջ որտեղի՞ց է մեզ այնչափ հաց՝ այսքան ժողովուրդ կշտացնելու համար»:
The disciples say to him, Whence can we have bread in the wilderness, that we may satisfy this whole multitude?
34 Եւ Յիսուս նրանց ասաց. «Քանի՞ նկանակ ունէք»: Եւ նրանք ասացին՝ եօթը, եւ մի քանի ձուկ:
Jeshu saith to them, How many loaves have you? They say to him, Seven, and a few small fishes.
35 Եւ նա հրամայեց ժողովրդին, որ նստեն գետնի վրայ:
And he directed that the multitudes should recline upon the ground.
36 Եւ վերցնելով եօթը նկանակն ու ձկները՝ գոհութիւն յայտնեց Աստծուն եւ կտրեց ու տուեց աշակերտներին, եւ նրանք էլ՝ ժողովրդին:
And he took those seven loaves and the fishes, and offered praise, and brake, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes;
37 Բոլորը կերան ու յագեցան. եւ եօթը լիքը զամբիւղ կտորտանքների մնացորդներ վերցրին:
and they all did eat and were satisfied: and they took up of the abundance of fragments seven baskets full.
38 Եւ նրանք, որ կերան, մօտ չորս հազար հոգի էին՝ չհաշուած կանանց ու երեխաներին:
And they who had eaten, were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 Երբ նա ժողովրդի բազմութիւնը արձակեց, նաւակ բարձրացաւ ու եկաւ Մագդաղիայի սահմանները:
And when he had dismissed the multitudes, he ascended into a ship, and came to the coasts of Magodu.
