ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍ 11
1 Եւ երբ Յիսուս վերջացրեց իր տասներկու աշակերտներին պատուէր տալը, այնտեղից գնաց՝ քարոզելու եւ ուսուցանելու շրջակայ քաղաքներում:
And it was doon, whanne Jhesus hadde endid, he comaundide to hise twelue disciplis, and passide fro thennus to teche and preche in the citees of hem.
2 Իսկ Յովհաննէսը, երբ բանտում լսեց Քրիստոսի գործերի մասին, ուղարկեց իր աշակերտներին եւ նրանց միջոցով ասաց նրան.
But whanne Joon in boondis hadde herd the werkis of Crist, he sente tweyne of hise disciplis,
3 «Դո՞ւ ես, որ գալու էիր, թէ՞ ուրիշին սպասենք»:
and seide to him, `Art thou he that schal come, or we abiden another?
4 Յիսուս պատասխան տուեց նրանց եւ ասաց. «Գնացէք պատմեցէ՛ք Յովհաննէսին, ինչ որ դուք լսեցիք եւ տեսաք.
And Jhesus answeride, and seide `to hem, Go ye, and telle ayen to Joon tho thingis that ye han herd and seyn.
5 կոյրերը տեսնում են, կաղերը՝ քայլում, բորոտները՝ մաքրւում, խուլերը՝ լսում, մեռելները՝ յառնում, եւ աղքատներին քարոզւում է Աւետարանը:
Blynde men seen, crokid men goon, meselis ben maad clene, deefe men heren, deed men rysen ayen, pore men ben takun to `prechyng of the gospel.
6 Եւ երանի՜ է նրան, ով իմ պատճառով չի գայթակղւում»:
And he is blessid, that shal not be sclaundrid in me.
7 Երբ Յովհաննէսի աշակերտները գնացին, Յիսուս սկսեց ժողովրդին ասել Յովհաննէսի մասին. «Ի՞նչ տեսնելու ելաք անապատում. հողմից շարժուող եղէ՞գ:
And whanne thei weren goon awei, Jhesus bigan to seie of Joon to the puple, What thing wenten ye out in to desert to se? a reed wawed with the wynd?
8 Հապա ի՞նչ տեսնելու ելաք. փափուկ զգեստներով զարդարուած մա՞րդ. ահա նրանք, որ փափուկ բաներ են հագել, թագաւորների պալատներում են:
Or what thing wenten ye out to see? a man clothid with softe clothis? Lo! thei that ben clothid with softe clothis ben in the housis of kyngis.
9 Ապա ի՞նչ տեսնելու ելաք. մի մարգարէ՞. այո՛, ասում եմ ձեզ. առաւե՛լ քան մի մարգարէ,
But what thing wenten ye out to se? a prophete? Yhe, Y seie to you, and more than a prophete.
10 որովհետեւ նա է, որի մասին գրուած է. «Ահա ես կ՚ուղարկեմ իմ պատգամաւորին քո առջեւից, որ քո առաջ քո ճանապարհը պատրաստի»:
For this is he, of whom it is writun, Lo! Y sende myn aungel bifor thi face, that shal make redi thi weye bifor thee.
11 Ճշմարիտ եմ ասում ձեզ, կանանցից ծնուածների մէջ Յովհաննէս Մկրտչից աւելի մեծը չի ելել. բայց երկնքի արքայութեան մէջ ամենից յետինը նրանից մեծ է:
Treuli Y seie to you, ther roos noon more than Joon Baptist among the children of wymmen; but he that is lesse in the kyngdom of heuenes, is more than he.
12 Յովհաննէս Մկրտչի օրերից մինչեւ այժմ երկնքի արքայութիւնը բռնադատւում է. եւ հզօրներն են յափշտակում այն,
And fro the daies of Joon Baptist til now the kyngdom of heuenes suffrith violence, and violent men rauyschen it.
13 քանի որ ամբողջ Օրէնքը եւ մարգարէները մարգարէացան մինչեւ Յովհաննէսը:
For alle prophetis and the lawe `til to Joon prophecieden; and if ye wolen resseyue,
14 Եւ եթէ ուզում էք ընդունել, Յովհաննէ՛սն է Եղիան, որ գալու է:
he is Elie that is to come.
15 Ով լսելու ականջ ունի, թող լսի:
He that hath eris of heryng, here he.
16 Ո՞ւմ նմանեցնեմ այս սերնդին. նման է նա մանուկների, որոնք նստած են հրապարակներում, կանչում են իրենց ընկերներին եւ ասում.
But to whom schal Y gesse this generacioun lijk? It is lijk to children sittynge in chepyng, that crien to her peeris,
17 ձեզ համար փող հնչեցրինք, բայց չպարեցիք. ձեզ համար ողբ երգեցինք, բայց դուք լաց ու կոծ չարեցիք:
and seien, We han songun to you, and ye han not daunsid; we han morned to you, and ye han not weilid.
18 Եկաւ Յովհաննէսը. ո՛չ ուտում էր եւ ո՛չ խմում. եւ ասացին՝ նրա մէջ դեւ կայ:
For Joon cam nether etynge ne drynkynge, and thei seien, He hath a deuel.
19 Եկաւ մարդու Որդին. ուտում է եւ խմում. եւ ասում են՝ ահա ուտող եւ խմող մարդ, բարեկամ՝ մաքսաւորների եւ մեղաւորների. բայց իմաստութիւնը արդարացուեց իր որդիների կողմից»:
The sone of man cam etynge and drynkynge, and thei seien, Lo! a man a glotoun, and a drinkere of wijne, and a freend of pupplicans and of synful men. And wisdom is iustified of her sones.
20 Այն ժամանակ նա սկսեց պարսաւել այն քաղաքները, որոնց մէջ նրա բազում զօրաւոր գործերը տեղի ունեցան, բայց նրանք չապաշխարեցին:
Thanne Jhesus bigan to seye repreef to citees, in whiche ful manye vertues of him weren doon, for thei diden not penaunce.
21 «Վա՜յ քեզ, Քորազին, վա՜յ քեզ, Բեթսայիդա. որովհետեւ եթէ Տիւրոսում եւ Սիդոնում տեղի ունեցած լինէին այն զօրաւոր գործերը, որ ձեր մէջ արուեցին, վաղուց արդէն քուրջով եւ մոխրով ապաշխարած կը լինէին:
Wo to thee! Corosaym, woo to thee! Bethsaida; for if the vertues that ben doon in you hadden be doon in Tyre and Sidon, sumtyme thei hadden don penaunce in heyre and aische.
22 Բայց ասում եմ ձեզ, Տիւրոսի եւ Սիդոնի երկրի համար աւելի տանելի կը լինի դատաստանի օրը, քան ձեզ համար:
Netheles Y seie to you, it schal be lesse peyne to Tire and Sidon in the dai of doom, than to you.
23 Եւ դո՛ւ, Կափառնայո՛ւմ, միթէ մինչեւ երկի՞նք պիտի բարձրանաս. ո՛չ, պիտի իջնես մինչեւ դժոխք. որովհետեւ եթէ Սոդոմում եղած լինէին այս զօրաւոր գործերը, որ եղան քո մէջ, արդարեւ մինչեւ այսօր նրանք կանգուն կը լինէին: (Hadēs g86)
And thou, Cafarnaum, whethir thou schalt be arerid vp in to heuene? Thou shalt go doun in to helle. For if the vertues that ben don in thee, hadden be don in Sodom, perauenture thei schulden haue dwellid `in to this dai. (Hadēs g86)
24 Բայց ասում եմ ձեզ, որ սոդոմացիների երկրի համար դատաստանի օրը աւելի տանելի կը լինի, քան քեզ համար»:
Netheles Y seie to you, that to the lond of Sodom it schal be `lesse peyne in the dai of doom, than to thee.
25 Այն ժամանակ Յիսուս պատասխան տուեց եւ ասաց. «Գոհութիւն եմ յայտնում քեզ, Հա՛յր, Տէ՛ր երկնքի եւ երկրի, որ ծածկեցիր այս բանը իմաստուններից եւ գիտուններից ու յայտնեցիր մանուկներին:
In thilke tyme Jhesus answeride, and seide, Y knowleche to thee, fadir, lord of heuene and of erthe, for thou hast hid these thingis fro wijse men, and redi, and hast schewid hem to litle children;
26 Այո՛, Հա՛յր, քանի որ այսպէս հաճելի եղաւ քեզ:
so, fadir, for so it was plesynge tofore thee.
27 Ամենայն ինչ տրուեց ինձ իմ Հօրից. եւ ոչ ոք չի ճանաչում Որդուն, եթէ ոչ՝ Հայրը. եւ ոչ ոք չի ճանաչում Հօրը, եթէ ոչ՝ Որդին, եւ նա, ում Որդին ուզենայ յայտնել:
Alle thingis ben youune to me of my fadir; and no man knewe the sone, but the fadir, nethir ony man knewe the fadir, but the sone, and to whom the sone wolde schewe.
28 Եկէ՛ք ինձ մօտ, բոլոր յոգնածներդ ու բեռնաւորուածներդ, եւ ես ձեզ կը հանգստացնեմ:
Alle ye that traueilen, and ben chargid, come to me, and Y schal fulfille you.
29 Իմ լուծը ձեր վրայ վերցրէ՛ք եւ սովորեցէ՛ք ինձնից, որ հեզ եմ եւ սրտով խոնարհ. եւ ձեզ համար հանգիստ պիտի գտնէք,
Take ye my yok on you, and lerne ye of me, for Y am mylde and meke in herte; and ye schulen fynde reste to youre soulis.
30 որովհետեւ իմ լուծը քաղցր է եւ իմ բեռը՝ թեթեւ»:
`For my yok is softe, and my charge liyt.
