ՂՈԻԿԱՍ 11
1 Եւ եղաւ որ Յիսուս մի տեղ աղօթքի էր կանգնած. եւ երբ վերջացրեց, նրա աշակերտներից մէկն ասաց նրան. «Տէ՛ր, մեզ աղօթել սովորեցրո՛ւ, ինչպէս Յովհաննէսը սովորեցրեց իր աշակերտներին»:
AND it was that while he was praying in a certain place, when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, Our Lord, teach us to pray as also Juchanon taught his disciples.
2 Նա նրանց ասաց. «Երբ աղօթքի կանգնէք, ասացէ՛ք.
Jeshu said to them, When you pray, thus be saying, Our Father who (art) in the heavens, be sanctified thy name. Come thy kingdom. Be done thy will as in the heavens also upon earth.
Give to us the bread of our need every day,
and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive all who are indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil.
5 Եւ Յիսուս նրանց ասաց. «Ձեզնից ո՞վ է, որ բարեկամ ունենայ, գնայ նրա մօտ կէսգիշերին եւ ասի նրան. բարեկա՛մ, ինձ երեք նկանակ փո՛խ տուր,
And he said to them, Who of you that has a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and shall say to him, My friend, lend me three loaves,
6 որովհետեւ իմ բարեկամը ճանապարհից եկաւ ինձ մօտ, եւ ես նրա առաջ դնելու ոչինչ չունեմ:
because a friend has come to me from the way, and I have nothing to set to him?
7 Իսկ նա ներսից պատասխանի եւ ասի. «Ինձ նեղութիւն մի՛ տուր, որովհետեւ դռները փակուած են, եւ երեխաներս ինձ հետ անկողնում են, չեմ կարող վեր կենալ եւ քեզ հաց տալ»:
and that friend from within shall answer and say unto him, Disturb me not, for the door is shut, and my children are with me in bed: I cannot rise and give to you.
8 Ասում եմ ձեզ, եթէ բարեկամութեան համար էլ վեր չկենայ եւ հաց չտայ նրան, նրա թախանձանքի՛ պատճառով վեր կենալով կը տայ նրան, ինչ որ պէտք է:
I tell you if for friendship's sake he will not give him, (yet) because of importunity he will arise and give him as many as he needeth.
9 Եւ ես ասում եմ ձեզ. խնդրեցէ՛ք, եւ Աստծուց կը տրուի ձեզ, փնտռեցէ՛ք, եւ կը գտնէք, բախեցէ՛ք, եւ կը բացուի ձեզ համար,
I say also to you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
10 որովհետեւ, ով որ խնդրում է, առնում է, ով որ փնտռում է, գտնում է, եւ ով որ բախում է, բացւում է նրա առաջ:
For every one who asketh receiveth, and who seeketh findeth, and who knocketh hath it opened to him.
11 Ձեզնից ո՞վ է այն հայրը, որի որդին եթէ ձուկ ուզի, միթէ ձկան փոխարէն օ՞ձ կը տայ նրան.
For what father (is there) among you who, if his son shall ask bread, will reach to him a stone? or should he ask a fish, how instead of a fish will he reach to him a serpent?
12 եւ կամ ձու ուզի, միթէ կարի՞ճ կը տայ նրան:
or if an egg he shall ask, will he a scorpion reach to him?
13 Իսկ եթէ դուք, որ չար էք, գիտէք բարի պարգեւներ տալ ձեր որդիներին, որչա՜փ եւս առաւել ձեր երկնաւոր Հայրը բարիքներ կը տայ նրանց, որոնք ուզում են իրենից»:
And if you, who are evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father from the heavens give the Spirit of Holiness to those who ask him!
14 Եւ Յիսուս մի համր դեւ էր հանում. եւ երբ դեւը ելաւ, համրը խօսեց. եւ ամբողջ ժողովուրդը զարմացաւ:
AND he was casting out a demon which was dumb; and when he had cast out the demon, the dumb spake, and the multitudes wondered.
15 Եւ նրանցից ոմանք ասացին. «Դա դեւերին հանում է դեւերի իշխան Բէեղզեբուղի միջոցով»:
But some from them said, By Beelzebub, the prince of the devils, he casteth out devils;
16 Իսկ ուրիշներ փորձում էին նրան եւ երկնքից նշան էին ուզում նրանից:
while others, tempting him, the sign from heaven demanded of him.
17 Իսկ նա իմանալով նրանց մտածումները՝ ասաց նրանց. «Ինքն իր մէջ բաժանուած ամէն թագաւորութիւն աւերւում է, եւ ինքն իր մէջ բաժանուած ամէն տուն՝ կործանւում:
But Jeshu, who knew their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom which is divided against itself will be desolated; and a house that against its own self is divided falleth;
18 Արդ, եթէ սատանան էլ ինքն իր մէջ բաժանուեց, նրա թագաւորութիւնը ինչպէ՞ս կարող է կանգուն մնալ. որովհետեւ իմ մասին ասում էք, թէ՝ «Դա դեւերին հանում է դեւերի իշխան Բէեղզեբուղի միջոցով»:
and if Satana against himself be divided, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say that through Beelzebub I cast out devils.
19 Եթէ ես դեւերին հանում եմ Բէեղզեբուղի միջոցով, ձեր հետեւորդները ինչո՞վ պիտի հանեն. դրա համար նրա՛նք պիտի լինեն ձեր դատաւորները:
But if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, your sons, by what do they cast (them) out? On account of this they shall be your judges.
20 Իսկ եթէ Աստծու մատով եմ հանում դեւերին, ապա Աստծու արքայութիւնը հասել է ձեր վրայ:
But if by the finger of Aloha I cast out devils, there hath drawn nigh upon you the kingdom of Aloha.
21 Երբոր զինուած հզօր մի մարդ պահպանում է իր տունը, նրա ինչքը ապահով է:
When the strong one armed keepeth his court, his possession is in peace;
22 Բայց եթէ նրանից աւելի հզօրը գայ նրա վրայ եւ յաղթի նրան, նրանից կը հանի այն զէնքերը, որոնց վրայ յոյս էր դրել, եւ նրա աւարը կը բաժանի:
but if a stronger than he shall come, he shall overcome him; all his armour he taketh on which he depended, and he divideth his spoils.
23 Ով ինձ հետ չէ, հակառակ է ինձ, եւ ով ինձ հետ չի հաւաքում, ցրում է»:
He who is not with me is against me; and he who does not collect with me, by scattering he scattereth.
24 «Երբ պիղծ դեւը ելնում է մարդուց, շրջում է անջրդի տեղերում, հանգիստ է փնտռում. եւ երբ չի գտնում, ասում է՝ «Վերադառնամ իմ տունը, որտեղից ելայ»:
The unclean spirit, when he hath gone out from a son of man, goeth about through regions which have no waters in them, because he seeketh to him rest. And when he cannot find it he saith, I will return to my house from whence I went out.
25 Եւ գալիս է ու գտնում այն՝ մաքրուած եւ կարգի բերուած:
And when he cometh he findeth it swept and ornamented.
26 Այն ժամանակ գնում եւ վերցնում է իրենից աւելի չար եօթը այլ դեւեր եւ մտնում, բնակւում է այնտեղ. եւ այն մարդու վերջին վիճակը լինում է աւելի վատ, քան նախկինը»:
Then he goeth, taketh seven other spirits who are more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last of that man is worse than his first.
27 Եւ մինչդեռ Յիսուս այս բանն էր խօսում, ժողովրդի միջից մի կին ձայն բարձրացրեց եւ ասաց. «Երանի՜ է այն կնոջը, որ յղացաւ եւ դիեցրեց քեզ»:
AND while he spake these words, a certain woman lifted up her voice from the crowd, and said to him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the breasts which thou hast sucked!
28 Եւ նա ասաց. «Մանաւանդ երանի՜ է նրանց, որ լսում են Աստծու խօսքը եւ կը պահեն»:
He said to her, Blessed are they who hear the word of Aloha and keep it.
29 Եւ երբ ժողովուրդը նրա շուրջը խռնուեց, սկսեց ասել. «Այս սերունդը չար սերունդ է. նշան է ուզում, եւ նրան երկնքից այլ նշան չի տրուի, բացի Յովնանի նշանից.
And when the assemblies had gathered together, he began to say, This evil generation requireth a sign; but no sign shall be given to it save the sign of Jaunon the prophet.
30 որովհետեւ, ինչպէս Յովնանը նշան եղաւ նինուէացիների համար, նոյնպէս մարդու Որդին նշան կը լինի այս սերնդի համար:
For as was Jaunon a sign to the Ninvoyee, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 Հարաւի դշխոն դատաստանի ժամանակ վեր պիտի կենայ այս սերնդի մարդկանց հետ եւ պիտի դատապարտի նրանց, որովհետեւ նա երկրի ծագերից եկաւ լսելու Սողոմոնի իմաստութիւնը. եւ ահա Սողոմոնից մեծը կայ այստեղ:
The queen of the south shall rise in judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them; for she came from the confines of the earth to hear the wisdom of Shelemun, and, lo, a greater than Shelemun is here.
32 Նինուէի մարդիկ դատաստանի ժամանակ վեր պիտի կենան այս սերնդի հետ եւ պիտի դատապարտեն նրան, որովհետեւ Յովնանի քարոզութեան վրայ ապաշխարեցին. եւ ահա Յովնանից մեծը կայ այստեղ»:
The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jaunon, and, lo, a greater than Jaunon is here.
33 «Ոչ ոք ճրագ վառելով ծածուկ տեղ չի դնի, այլ կը դնի աշտանակի վրայ, որպէսզի մտնողը լոյս տեսնի:
No man lighteth a lamp and setteth it in a secret (place) or under a measure, but upon a candlestick, that they who enter may see the light of it.
34 Մարմնի ճրագը աչքն է. երբ աչքը առողջ է, ամբողջ մարմինը լուսաւոր կը լինի, իսկ երբ աչքը պղտոր է, մարմինն էլ խաւար կը լինի:
The lamp of thy body is thine eye; when therefore thine eye is simple, thy whole body also will be illuminated; but if it be evil, thy body also will be darkness.
35 Արդ, զգո՛յշ եղիր, գուցէ այն լոյսը, որ քո մէջ է, խաւար լինի:
Beware, therefore, lest the light that is in thee become darkness.
36 Եթէ քո ամբողջ մարմինը լուսաւոր է, եւ նրա մէջ խաւարի մաս չկայ, ամէն ինչ այնպէս լուսաւոր կը լինի, ինչպէս երբ ճրագը իր շողերով լուսաւորի քեզ»:
But if thy whole body be illuminated, and no part whatever in it be darkness, the whole will be light, as when a lamp with its flame enlighteneth thee.
37 Եւ մինչդեռ նա խօսում էր այս բաները, մի փարիսեցի աղաչում էր նրան, որ իր մօտ ճաշի: Եւ նա մտնելով՝ սեղան նստեց:
AND as he was speaking, a certain Pharisha requested of him to dine with him, and he went in to recline.
38 Երբ փարիսեցին տեսաւ, զարմացաւ, որովհետեւ Յիսուս ճաշից առաջ չլուացուեց:
But he, the Pharisha, when he saw him, wondered that he had not first washed before his dinner.
39 Տէրը նրան ասաց. «Այժմ դուք՝ փարիսեցիներդ, բաժակի եւ պնակի արտաքինն էք մաքրում, իսկ ձեր ներքինը լի է յափշտակութեամբ եւ չարութեամբ:
But Jeshu said to him, Now you Pharishee cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, but within you are full of rapine and wickedness.
40 Անմիտնե՛ր, չէ՞ որ նա, ով արտաքինը ստեղծեց, նաեւ ներքինը ստեղծեց:
Wanting in understanding! did not he who made that which is without, make also that which is within?
41 Բայց տեսէ՛ք, թէ ինչն է իսկապէս արժան. ողորմութի՛ւն տուէք, եւ ահա ձեր ամէն ինչը մաքուր կը լինի:
But of whatever there is, give in alms, and, behold, every thing is clean to you.
42 Բայց վա՜յ ձեզ՝ փարիսեցիներիդ, որ տասանորդ էք տալիս անանուխի, փեգենայի եւ ամէն տեսակ բանջարեղէնի, բայց զանց էք անում Աստծու արդարութիւնն ու սէրը. այս բաները պէտք էր անել, բայց միւսները զանց չանել:
But woe to you, Pharishee! for you tithe mint, and rue, and every herb, and pass by judgment and the love of Aloha. These hath it behoved you to do, and those not to have omitted.
43 Վա՜յ ձեզ՝ փարիսեցիներիդ, որ ժողովարաններում բարձր գահերն էք սիրում եւ հրապարակներում՝ առաջին ողջոյնները ստանալ:
Woe to you, Pharishee! for you love the chief seats in the assemblies, and the salutation in the public places.
44 Վա՜յ ձեզ, որ անյայտ գերեզմանների պէս էք. մարդիկ քայլում են նրանց վրայով եւ չգիտեն»:
Woe to you, scribes and Pharishee, hypocrites! for you are like tombs that are not known, and men walk upon them, and do not know.
45 Օրէնսգէտներից մէկը պատասխանեց եւ ասաց նրան. «Վարդապե՛տ, այդ բաներն ասելով՝ մեզ էլ ես նախատում»:
And one of the Sophree answered and said to him, Doctor, while you say these things, you vilify us also!
46 Եւ նա ասաց. «Վա՜յ ձե՛զ եւս, օրէնսգէտնե՛ր, որ մարդկանց դժուարակիր բեռներ էք բարձում, բայց դուք ինքներդ մէկ մատով իսկ բեռներին չէք դիպչում:
But he said, Also unto you, Sophree, woe! because you lade men with heavy burdens, and you with one of your fingers will not touch those burdens.
47 Վա՜յ ձեզ, որ մարգարէներին շիրիմներ էք շինում, իսկ ձեր հայրերը նրանց սպանեցին:
Woe to you! for you build the tombs of the prophets whom your fathers killed:
48 Դրանով իսկ դուք վկայում էք, թէ կամակից էք ձեր հայրերի գործերին, որովհետեւ նրանք կոտորեցին մարգարէներին, իսկ դուք նրանց գերեզմաններ էք շինում:
thus you bear witness that you consent in the deeds of your fathers; for they killed them, and you build their sepulchres.
49 Դրա համար Աստծու իմաստութիւնն ասաց. նրանց մէջ մարգարէներ եւ առաքեալներ կ՚ուղարկեմ, եւ նրանցից ոմանց պիտի սպանեն եւ հալածեն,
ON this account also Wisdom saith, Behold, I will send to them prophets and apostles; and of them they will persecute and kill;
50 որպէսզի այդ սերնդից պահանջուի արիւնը բոլոր մարգարէների՝ թափուած աշխարհի սկզբից՝
that the blood of all the prophets which hath been shed from the creation of the world may be required from this generation.
51 Աբէլի արիւնից մինչեւ արիւնը Զաքարիայի, որը կորստեան մատնուեց խորանի եւ տաճարի միջեւ. այո՛, ասում եմ ձեզ, պիտի պահանջուի՛ այդ սերնդից:
From the blood of Habil unto the blood of Zakaria who was killed between the temple and the altar: yes, I tell you, It shall be required of this generation.
52 Վա՜յ ձեզ՝ օրէնսգէտների՛դ, որ թաքցնում էք գիտութեան բանալիները. դուք չէք մտնում եւ մտնողներին էլ արգելում էք»:
Woe to you, Sophree; for you have taken away the key of knowledge; you enter not in (yourselves), and they who are entering you prohibit.
53 Եւ երբ այս բոլորը նրանց ասաց ամբողջ ժողովրդի առաջ, ամօթահար եղան. եւ օրէնսգէտներն ու փարիսեցիները սկսեցին խիստ չարանալ եւ բանավէճի բռնուել նրա հետ՝ շատ բաների համար:
And while he spoke these (words) to them, the Sophree and Pharishee began to be displeased, and they were wrathful, and controverted his words, and enticed him on many (points),
54 Եւ սպասում էին նրա բերանից ինչ-ինչ խօսքեր որսալ, որպէսզի չարախօսեն նրա մասին:
seeking to lay hold on something from his mouth that they might be able to accuse him.
