ԾՆՆԴՈՑ 29
1 Յակոբը վեր կացաւ գնաց արեւելեան երկիրը, ասորի Բաթուէլի որդի Լաբանի մօտ, որը Ռեբեկայի՝ Յակոբի ու Եսաւի մօր եղբայրն էր:
Therfor Jacob passide forth, and cam in to the eest lond;
2 Նա դաշտում մի ջրհոր տեսաւ: Այնտեղ մակաղել էր ոչխարների երեք հօտ. այդ ջրհորից ջուր էին տալիս ոչխարներին:
and seiy a pit in the feeld, and thre flockis of scheep restynge bisidis it, for whi scheep weren watrid therof, and the mouth therof was closid with a greet stoon.
3 Ջրհորի բերանին մի մեծ քար կար: Բոլոր հօտերն այնտեղ էին հաւաքւում: Հովիւները գլորում էին ջրհորի բերանը ծածկող քարը, ջուր էին տալիս ոչխարներին եւ ապա քարը դարձեալ դնելով իր տեղը՝ փակում էին ջրհորի բերանը:
And the custom was that whanne alle scheep weren gaderid togidere, thei schulden turne awei the stoon, and whanne the flockis weren fillid thei schulden put it eft on the mouth of the pit.
4 Յակոբը հարցրեց նրանց. «Եղբայրնե՛ր, որտեղի՞ց էք»:
And Jacob seide to the scheepherdis, Brithren, of whennus ben ye? Whiche answeriden, Of Aran.
5 Նրանք պատասխանեցին. «Խառանից ենք»: Նա հարցրեց նրանց. «Դուք ճանաչո՞ւմ էք Նաքորի որդի Լաբանին»: Նրանք պատասխանեցին. «Ճանաչում ենք»:
And he axide hem and seide, Wher ye knowen Laban, the sone of Nachor? Thei seiden, We knowen.
6 Նա հարցրեց նրանց. «Նա ողջ-առո՞ղջ է»: Նրանք պատասխանեցին. «Ողջ-առողջ է»: Հէնց այդ պահին նրա դուստր Ռաքէլը գալիս էր ոչխարների հետ:
Jacob seide, Is he hool? Thei seiden, He is in good staat; and lo! Rachel, his douytir, cometh with his flok.
7 Յակոբն ասաց. «Օրը դեռ առջեւում է, ոչխարները հաւաքելու ժամանակը չէ, ջուր տուէ՛ք ոչխարներին եւ տարէ՛ք էլի արածեցնելու»:
And Jacob seide, Yit myche of the dai is to come, and it is not tyme that the flockis be led ayen to the fooldis; sotheli yyue ye drynk to the scheep, and so lede ye hem ayen to mete.
8 Նրանք ասացին. «Դա անհնար է, քանի դեռ չեն հաւաքուել բոլոր հովիւները եւ ջրհորի բերանից քարը չեն գլորել. դրանից յետոյ ջուր կը տանք ոչխարներին»:
Whiche answeriden, We moun not til alle scheep be gederid to gidere, and til we remouen the stoon fro the mouth of the pit to watir the flockis.
9 Մինչ նա խօսում էր նրանց հետ, ահա Լաբանի դուստր Ռաքէլը եկաւ իր հօր ոչխարների հետ, որովհետեւ նա էր արածեցնում իր հօր ոչխարները:
Yit thei spaken, and lo! Rachel cam with the scheep of hir fadir.
10 Երբ Յակոբը տեսաւ իր մօրեղբայր Լաբանի դուստր Ռաքէլին եւ իր մօրեղբայր Լաբանի ոչխարները, մօտեցաւ, ջրհորի բերանից գլորեց քարը եւ ջրեց իր մօրեղբայր Լաբանի ոչխարները:
And whanne Jacob seiy hir, and knewe the douytir of his modris brothir, and the scheep of Laban his vncle, he remeuyde the stoon with which the pit was closid;
11 Յակոբը համբուրեց Ռաքէլին ու բարձրաձայն լաց եղաւ:
and whanne the flok was watrid, he kisside hir, and he wepte with `vois reisid.
12 Յակոբը Ռաքէլին յայտնեց, որ ինքը նրա հօրեղբայրն է՝ Ռեբեկայի որդին: Ռաքէլը գնաց ու հօրը պատմեց այն, ինչ պատահել էր:
And he schewide to hir that he was the brothir of hir fadir, and the sone of Rebecca; and sche hastide, and telde to hir fadir.
13 Երբ Լաբանը լսեց իր քրոջ որդի Յակոբի անունը, ընդառաջ գնաց, գիրկն առաւ նրան, համբուրեց ու տարաւ իր տունը: Յակոբը Լաբանին պատմեց այդ բոլոր բաները:
And whanne he hadde herd, that Jacob, the sone of his sistir, cam, he ran ayens hym, and he biclippide Jacob and kisside hym, and ledde in to his hows. Forsothe whanne the causis of the iurney weren herd,
14 Լաբանն ասաց նրան. «Իմ ոսկորներից եւ իմ միս ու արիւնից ես դու»: Յակոբը նրա մօտ մնաց մի ամբողջ ամիս:
Laban answeride, Thou art my boon and my fleisch. And aftir that the daies of o moneth weren fillid, Laban seide to him,
15 Լաբանն ասաց Յակոբին. «Քանի որ դու իմ եղբայրն ես, ինձ ձրի չես ծառայի: Ասա՛ ինձ, ի՞նչ է քո վարձը»:
`Whethir for thou art my brothir, thou schalt serue me frely? seie thou what mede thou schalt take.
16 Լաբանն ունէր երկու դուստր: Աւագի անունը Լիա էր, իսկ կրտսերինը՝ Ռաքէլ:
Forsothe Laban hadde twei douytris, the name of the more was Lya, sotheli the lesse was clepid Rachel;
17 Լիայի տեսողութիւնը թոյլ էր, իսկ Ռաքէլը բարեկազմ էր ու դէմքով գեղեցիկ:
but Lya was blere iyed, Rachel was of fair face, and semeli in siyt.
18 Յակոբը սիրեց Ռաքէլին. նա ասաց. «Քեզ եօթը տարի կը ծառայեմ քո կրտսեր դուստր Ռաքէլի համար»:
And Jacob louede Rachel, and seide, Y schal serue thee seuene yeer for Rachel thi lesse douytir.
19 Լաբանն ասաց նրան. «Աւելի լաւ է նրան քե՛զ տամ, քան օտար մարդու: Ապրի՛ր դու ինձ մօտ»:
Laban answeride, It is betere that Y yyue hir to thee than to anothir man; dwelle thou at me.
20 Յակոբը Ռաքէլի համար ծառայեց եօթը տարի, բայց նրա աչքին այդ տարիները օրեր թուացին, որովհետեւ սիրում էր նրան:
Therfor Jacob seruyde seuene yeer for Rachel; and the daies semyden fewe to hym for the greetnesse of loue.
21 Յակոբն ասաց Լաբանին. «Տո՛ւր ինձ իմ հարսնացուին, որպէսզի պառկեմ նրա հետ, որովհետեւ սահմանուած ժամկէտը վերջացել է»:
And he seide to Laban, Yyue thou my wijf to me, for the tyme is fillid that Y entre to hir.
22 Լաբանը հաւաքեց տեղի բոլոր մարդկանց ու հարսանիք արեց:
And whanne many cumpenyes of freendis weren clepid to the feeste, he made weddyngis,
23 Երբ գիշերը վրայ հասաւ, Լաբանն առաւ իր դուստր Լիային, տարաւ Յակոբի մօտ, եւ Յակոբը պառկեց նրա հետ:
and in the euentid Laban brouyte in to hym Lya his douytir,
24 Լաբանն իր աղախին Զելփային իբրեւ նաժիշտ տուեց իր դուստր Լիային: Առաւօտեան Յակոբը տեսաւ, որ իր կողքինը Լիան է:
and yaf an handmaide, Selfa bi name, to the douyter. And whanne Jacob hadde entrid to hir bi custom, whanne the morewtid was maad, he seiy Lya,
25 Յակոբն ասաց Լաբանին. «Այս ի՞նչ արեցիր, մի՞թէ Ռաքէլի համար չծառայեցի քեզ, ինչո՞ւ խաբեցիր ինձ»:
and seide to his wyues fadir, What is it that thou woldist do? wher Y seruede not thee for Rachel? whi hast thou disseyued me?
26 Լաբանն ասաց. «Մեր երկրում ընդունուած չէ մեծից առաջ կրտսերին ամուսնացնել:
Laban answerde, It is not custom in oure place that we yyue first the `lesse douytris to weddyngis;
27 Արդ, սրա՛ համար էլ եօթը տարի ծառայիր, եւ ինձ համար աշխատած այդ եօթը տարուայ աշխատանքիդ համար սրա՛ն էլ քեզ կին կը տամ»:
fille thou the wouke of daies of this couplyng, and Y schal yyue to thee also this Rachel, for the werk in which thou schalt serue me bi othere seuene yeer.
28 Յակոբն այդպէս էլ արեց. նա եօթը տարի եւս ծառայեց սրա համար, եւ Լաբանն իր դուստր Ռաքէլին կնութեան տուեց նրան:
Jacob assentide to the couenaunt, and whanne the wouke was passid,
29 Լաբանն իր աղախին Բալլային իբրեւ նաժիշտ տուեց իր դուստր Ռաքէլին:
he weddide Rachel, to whom the fadir hadde youe Bala seruauntesse.
30 Յակոբը մտաւ Ռաքէլի ծոցը եւ Ռաքէլին սիրեց աւելի, քան Լիային: Նա սրա համար ծառայեց եւս եօթը տարի:
And at the laste he vside the weddyngis desirid, and settide the loue of the `wijf suynge bifore the former; and he seruede at Laban seuene othere yeer.
31 Երբ Տէրը տեսաւ, որ Լիան Յակոբի համար ատելի է, նրա արգանդը բեղմնաւոր դարձրեց, իսկ Ռաքէլը ամուլ մնաց:
Forsothe the Lord seiy that he dispiside Lya, and openyde hir wombe while the sistir dwellide bareyn.
32 Յղիացաւ Լիան եւ Յակոբի համար ծնեց որդի: Նա նրան կոչեց Ռուբէն՝ ասելով. «Տէրը տեսաւ իմ տառապանքները: Արդ, ինձ պիտի սիրի իմ ամուսինը»:
And Lia childide a sone conseyued, and clepide his name Ruben, and seide, The Lord seiy my mekenesse; now myn hosebonde schal loue me.
33 Դարձեալ յղիացաւ Լիան, Յակոբի համար ծնեց երկրորդ որդի եւ ասաց. «Քանի որ Տէրը լսեց, որ ատելի եմ, սրան էլ պարգեւեց ինձ»: Եւ նրա անունը դրեց Շմաւոն:
And eft sche conseyuede, `and childide a sone, and seide, For the Lord seiy that Y was dispisid, he yaf also this sone to me; and sche clepide his name Symeon.
34 Նա նորից յղիացաւ, ծնեց որդի եւ ասաց. «Այլեւս իմ կողքին կը լինի իմ ամուսինը, որովհետեւ նրա համար երեք որդի ծնեցի»: Դրա համար էլ նրան կոչեց Ղեւի:
And sche conseyuede the thridde tyme, and childide anothir sone, and she seide also, Now myn hosebonde schal be couplid to me, for Y childide thre sones to him; and therfor sche clepide his name Leuy.
35 Նա մի անգամ էլ յղիացաւ, ծնեց որդի եւ ասաց. «Այս անգամ էլ պիտի գոհանամ Տիրոջից»: Եւ նրա անունը դրեց Յուդա: Դրանից յետոյ նա դադարեց երեխայ ունենալուց:
The fourthe tyme sche conseyuede, and childide a sone, and seide, Now I schal knouleche to the Lord; and herfor she clepide his name Judas; and ceesside to childe.
