ԵԼՔ 22
1 «Եթէ մէկը արջառ կամ ոչխար գողանայ, մորթի կամ վաճառի այն, ապա մէկ արջառի փոխարէն հինգ արջառ թող հատուցի, իսկ մէկ ոչխարի փոխարէն՝ չորս ոչխար:
When a man stealeth an ox or a sheep, and slayeth it, or selleth it, with five of the herd, shall he make good—for the ox, or with four of the flock, for the sheep.
2 Եթէ գողին մահացու հարուած հասցնեն տան պատին անցք բացելիս, թող դա սպանութիւն չդիտուի:
If, in the place of breaking in, the thief be found and he is smitten so that he dieth, there is due for him no shedding of blood:
3 Իսկ եթէ դէպքը արեւածագից յետոյ կատարուի, սպանողը մահապարտ կը դիտուի եւ մահուան կ՚ենթարկուի: Եթէ գողը հատուցելու ոչինչ չունի, ապա ինքը թող վաճառուի, որպէսզի հատուցի իր գողացածի փոխարէն:
should the sun have arisen upon him, there would be shedding of blood due for him, —he is surely to make restitution, if he hath nothing, then is he to be sold, for his theft.
4 Իսկ եթէ նա բռնուի, եւ գողօնը՝ արջառ, էշ եւ ոչխար, գտնուի իր մօտ, ապա նա կրկնակին թող հատուցի:
If the thing stolen is found in his hand—whether ox or ass or sheep, alive, with two, shall he make restitution.
5 Եթէ մէկն իր անասունն արածեցնելիս թոյլ է տալիս, որ անասունն արածի ուրիշի հանդում, ապա իր հանդից թող հատուցի ըստ փչացրած բերքի չափի: Իսկ եթէ հանդը փչացրել է ամբողջութեամբ, ապա թող հատուցի իր հանդի ու իր այգու ընտիր հատուածով:
When a man causeth a field or a vineyard to be depastured, or hath sent in his own cattle and stripped the field of another, he shall, surely make restitution, out of his own field, according to the yield thereof; or if, all the field, he depasture, with the best of his own field, or with the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
6 Եթէ մէկը իր հանդի փշերը վառելու համար կրակ անի, եւ նրա վառած կրակը տարածուի ու այրի մէկ ուրիշի կալը կամ ցորենի շեղջը կամ հանդը, ապա վնասը թող հատուցի նա, ով հրդեհի համար մեղաւոր է:
When a fire breaketh out and hath come upon thorns and so there is consumed a stack of sheaves, or the standing corn, or the field, he that kindled the fire, shall surely make restitution.
7 Եթէ մէկը մի մարդու արծաթ կամ որեւէ այլ իր տայ պահելու, եւ այն գողացուի այդ մարդու տնից, եթէ գողը գտնուի, թող կրկնակին հատուցի,
When a man giveth unto his neighbour silver or jewelry, to keep, and it is stolen out of the house of the man:
8 իսկ եթէ գողը չգտնուի, ապա տան տէրը թող Աստծու առաջ երդուի, որ ինքն ամենեւին չի իւրացրել այդ մարդու իրեն պահ տուած իրը:
if the thief be found, he shall give in restitution double, if the thief be not found, then shall the owner of the house be brought near unto God to swear that he hath not laid his hand on the property of his neighbour.
9 Արջառի ու էշի, ոչխարի ու հագուստի եւ ամէն տեսակ բաների կորուստներին վերաբերող եւ վէճ յարուցող խնդիրների իսկութիւնը պարզելու նպատակով երկու կողմերը թող կանգնեն Աստծու դատաստանի առաջ: Նրանցից ում որ Աստուած մեղաւոր ճանաչի, նա կրկնակին թող հատուցի միւսին:
For any affair of trespass—for an ox, for an ass, for a sheep, for a mantle for anything lost as to which one could say—This is it, unto God, shall come the affair of them both, —he whom God shall condemn, shall make restitution of double to his neighbour.
10 Եթէ մէկը մի մարդու էշ, եզ, ոչխար կամ որեւէ այլ անասուն ի պահ տայ եւ պահ տրուածը վնասուածք ստանայ, սատկի կամ յափշտակուի, եւ այդ բանը հաստատող ոչ մի վկայ չլինի,
When a man delivereth unto his neighbour, an ass, or an ox or a sheep, or any beast, to keep, —and it dieth or is fractured, or is driven away, no one beholding,
11 ապա երկուսի միջեւ թող Աստծուն տրուած երդումը որպէս վկայութիւն լինի: Նա, ում մօտ անասունը պահ է տրուած եղել, եթէ երդուի, որ երբեք նենգ մտադրութիւն չի ունեցել միւսի տուած աւանդի նկատմամբ, ապա տէրը թող բաւարարուի դրանով, իսկ պահողը թող չտուգանուի:
the oath of Yahweh, shall come between them both, That he hath not laid his hand on the property of his neighbour, —then shall the owner thereof accept it and he shall not make restitution.
12 Իսկ եթէ ապացուցուի, որ իրօք իր մօտից են գողացել, ապրանքի տիրոջը թող հատուցի վնասը:
But, if it be verily stolen, from him, he shall make restitution to the owner thereof.
13 Իսկ եթէ պահ տրուած անասունին մի գազան է յօշոտել, որպէս ապացոյց նա թող բերի անասունի լէշը եւ վնասը չհատուցի:
If it be, verily torn in pieces, he shall bring it in as a witness—for that which was torn, he shall not make restitution.
14 Եթէ մէկը մի իր կամ անասուն խնդրի մէկ ուրիշից, եւ դրանք ջարդուեն, սատկեն կամ յափշտակուեն, իսկ տէրը դրանց մօտ ներկայ չլինի, ապա աւանդը վերցնողը թող հատուցի վնասը:
And when a man asketh aught of his neighbour, and it is fractured or dieth, its owner, not being with it, he shall, surely make restitution.
15 Եթէ դէպքը կատարուելիս տէրը աւանդի մօտ ներկայ լինի, աւանդ վերցնողը վնասը թող չհատուցի: Եթէ դա վարձով է փոխ առել, վնասն այդ վարձով էլ թող հատուցի»:
If, its owner, was with it, he shall not make restitution, —if it is, hired, it cometh into its hire.
16 «Եթէ մէկը խաբի չնշանուած մի կոյսի եւ պառկի նրա հետ, գլխագին թող վճարի ու ամուսնանայ նրա հետ:
And, when a man enticeth a virgin who is not betrothed, and lieth with her, he shall, surely pay a purchase-price, that she may be his wife.
17 Եւ եթէ աղջկայ հայրը չհամաձայնի նրան կնութեան տալ իր աղջկան, խաբողը նրա հօրը արծաթ թող վճարի այնքան, ինչքան գլխագին է սահմանուած կոյսերի համար:
If her father utterly refuse, to give her to him, silver, shall he weigh out, according to the purchase-price of virgins.
18 Մի՛ թողէք, որ կախարդներն ապրեն:
A sorceress, shalt thou not suffer to live.
19 Ով որ կենակցի անասունի հետ, նրան մահապատժի ենթարկեցէ՛ք:
Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
20 Ով որ կուռքերին զոհ մատուցի, մահապատժի թող ենթարկուի: Զոհ մատուցեցէ՛ք միայն Տիրոջը:
He that sacrificeth to the gods shall be devoted to destruction, —except [he sacrificeth] to Yahweh alone.
21 Պանդուխտին մի՛ չարչարէք, մի՛ նեղէք նրան, որովհետեւ դուք եւս պանդուխտ էիք Եգիպտացիների երկրում:
And, a sojourner, shalt thou not tread down neither shalt thou drive him away, —for sojourners, ye became in the land of Egypt.
22 Ոչ մի այրի կնոջ կամ որբի մի՛ տանջէք:
Neither widow nor fatherless, shalt thou humiliate:
23 Եթէ տանջէք նրանց, եւ նրանք բողոք բարձրացնելով դիմեն ինձ, ես կը լսեմ նրանց ձայնը,
if thou, do humiliate, him, when he in anywise crieth out unto me, I will, surely hear, his outcry:
24 սաստիկ կը բարկանամ, սրակոտոր կ՚անեմ ձեզ, ձեր կանայք կ՚այրիանան, իսկ ձեր զաւակները որբ կը դառնան:
so shall kindle mine anger, and I will slay you with the sword, —and your wives, shall become widows, and your, sons fatherless.
25 Եթէ արծաթ ես փոխ տալիս աղքատ եղբօրդ, նեղը մի՛ գցիր նրան եւ տոկոսներ մի՛ պահանջիր նրանից:
If, silver, thou wilt lend unto my people—unto the humbled one by thee, thou shalt not be to him like one that lendeth on interest, —thou shalt not lay upon him interest.
26 Եթէ գրաւ վերցնես մէկի բաճկոնը, մինչեւ արեւի մայր մտնելը վերադարձրո՛ւ այն,
If thou, do take in pledge, the mantle of thy neighbour, by the going in of the sun, shalt thou restore it to him;
27 որովհետեւ դա նրա եւ՛ վերարկուն է, եւ՛ նրա մերկութիւնը ծածկող հանդերձը, որով եւ նա քնում է: Եւ եթէ նա բողոքի ինձ, ես կը լսեմ նրան, որովհետեւ ողորմած եմ:
for that is his only covering, that, is his mantle, for his skin, —wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass when he maketh outcry unto me, then will I hear because, gracious, I am.
28 Քո աստուածներին մի՛ վատաբանիր եւ քո ժողովրդի առաջնորդին մի՛ հայհոյիր:
God, shalt thou not revile, —and a prince among thy people, shalt thou not curse.
29 Քո կալի ու հնձանի արդիւնքը մի՛ կտրիր ինձնից:
Thy fulness and thine outflow, shalt thou not delay, —the firstborn of thy sons, shalt thou give to me.
30 Քո որդիներից անդրանիկներին ինձ կը նուիրաբերես: Նոյն կերպ կը վարուես քո արջառի, ոչխարի ու էշի առաջնածինների հետ: Դրանք եօթը օր թող մնան իրենց մօր մօտ, իսկ ութերորդ օրը դրանք կը նուիրաբերես ինձ:
Thus, shalt thou do with thine ox with thy sheep, —seven days, shall it be with its dam, on the eighth day, shalt thou give it to me.
31 Իմ այս ասածները կատարելով՝ դուք ինձ համար սուրբ մարդիկ կը լինէք: Գազանի յօշոտած կենդանու միս մի՛ կերէք, այլ շա՛նը նետեցէք»:
Holy men, therefore shall ye truly become to me, —and flesh in the field torn to pieces, shall ye not eat, to the dogs, shall ye cast it.
