| ܘܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܬܟܪܟ ܗܘܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܒܩܘܪܝܐ ܘܡܟܪܙ ܗܘܐ ܘܡܤܒܪ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܬܪܥܤܪܬܗ ܥܡܗ | 1 |
AND it came to pass afterwards, that he went through every city and village, preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God, and the twelve with him.
| ܘܢܫܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܐܬܐܤܝ ܡܢ ܟܘܪܗܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܡܪܝܡ ܕܡܬܩܪܝܐ ܡܓܕܠܝܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܫܒܥܐ ܫܐܕܝܢ ܢܦܩܘ ܡܢܗ | 2 |
And certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and sicknesses, Mary called Magdalene, from whom seven devils had gone out.
| ܘܝܘܚܢ ܐܢܬܬ ܟܘܙܐ ܪܒܝܬܗ ܕܗܪܘܕܤ ܘܫܘܫܢ ܘܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ ܤܓܝܐܬܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܡܫܢ ܗܘܝ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܩܢܝܢܝܗܝܢ | 3 |
And Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s lieutenant-governor, and Susanna, and many others, who ministred to his support out of their possessions.
| ܘܟܕ ܟܢܫܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܟܢܫ ܗܘܐ ܘܡܢ ܟܠ ܡܕܝܢܢ ܐܬܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܐܡܪ ܒܡܬܠܐ | 4 |
Now when a vast multitude was collected, even those who came to him out of every city, he spake by a parable.
| ܢܦܩ ܙܪܘܥܐ ܠܡܙܪܥ ܙܪܥܗ ܘܟܕ ܙܪܥ ܐܝܬ ܕܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܝܕ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܘܐܬܕܝܫ ܘܐܟܠܬܗ ܦܪܚܬܐ | 5 |
A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell by the road side, and was trodden under foot, and the birds of the air devoured it up.
| ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܫܘܥܐ ܘܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܝܥܐ ܘܕܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܬܠܝܠܘܬܐ ܝܒܫ | 6 |
And other seed fell on a rock, and vegetating, withered because it had no moisture.
| ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܦܠ ܒܝܬ ܟܘܒܐ ܘܝܥܘ ܥܡܗ ܟܘܒܐ ܘܚܢܩܘܗܝ | 7 |
And other seed fell amidst thorns, and the thorns springing up with it, choked it.
| ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܢܦܠ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܘܝܥܐ ܘܥܒܕ ܦܐܪܐ ܚܕ ܒܡܐܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܕ ܐܡܪ ܩܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܡܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܐܕܢܐ ܕܢܫܡܥ ܢܫܡܥ | 8 |
And some fell on good ground, and shooting up, produced fruit an hundred fold. So saying, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
| ܘܫܐܠܘܗܝ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܕܡܢܘ ܡܬܠܐ ܗܢܐ | 9 |
Then his disciples asked him, saying. What might this parable mean?
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܝܗܝܒ ܠܡܕܥ ܐܪܙܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܫܪܟܐ ܒܦܠܐܬܐ ܡܬܐܡܪ ܕܟܕ ܚܙܝܢ ܠܐ ܢܚܙܘܢ ܘܟܕ ܫܡܥܝܢ ܠܐ ܢܤܬܟܠܘܢ | 10 |
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables: that seeing they may not perceive, and hearing may not comprehend.
| ܗܢܘ ܕܝܢ ܡܬܠܐ ܙܪܥܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ | 11 |
Now this is the parable: The seed is the word of God.
| ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܠ ܝܕ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܫܩܠ ܡܠܬܐ ܡܢ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܗܝܡܢܘܢ ܘܢܚܘܢ | 12 |
They by the road side, are such as hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh the word from their heart, that they should not be saved in believing.
| ܗܠܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܠ ܫܘܥܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܡܐ ܕܫܡܥܘ ܒܚܕܘܬܐ ܡܩܒܠܝܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ ܘܥܩܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܗܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܗܘܢ ܘܒܙܒܢ ܢܤܝܘܢܐ ܡܬܟܫܠܝܢ | 13 |
And they on the rock, are such as when they have heard, with joy embrace the word; and these have not root, who for a time believe, and in a season of trial apostasize.
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܦܠ ܒܝܬ ܟܘܒܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܒܨܦܬܐ ܘܒܥܘܬܪܐ ܘܒܪܓܝܓܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܡܬܚܢܩܝܢ ܘܦܐܪܐ ܠܐ ܝܗܒܝܢ | 14 |
And that which fell among thorns, are they having heard, and going away, are choked by the cares, and wealth, and pleasures of life, and bring forth no perfect fruit.
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܐܪܥܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܠܒܐ ܫܦܝܐ ܘܛܒܐ ܫܡܥܝܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܐܚܕܝܢ ܘܝܗܒܝܢ ܦܐܪܐ ܒܡܤܝܒܪܢܘܬܐ | 15 |
But that on the good ground are they who having heard the word, retain it in a heart excellent and good, and bring forth fruit with patience.
| ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܗܪ ܫܪܓܐ ܘܡܚܦܐ ܠܗ ܒܡܐܢܐ ܐܘ ܤܐܡ ܠܗ ܬܚܝܬ ܥܪܤܐ ܐܠܐ ܤܐܡ ܠܗ ܠܥܠ ܡܢ ܡܢܪܬܐ ܕܟܠ ܕܥܐܠ ܢܚܙܐ ܢܘܗܪܗ | 16 |
No man lighting a lamp hides it with a cover, or putteth it under a bed, but on a stand, that they who are coming in, may see the light.
| ܠܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܡܕܡ ܕܟܤܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܬܓܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܕܡܛܫܝ ܕܠܐ ܢܬܝܕܥ ܘܢܐܬܐ ܠܓܠܝܐ | 17 |
For there is nothing hid which shall not be made manifest, nor concealed, which shall not be known and brought to light.
| ܚܙܘ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܘܡܢ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܕܤܒܪ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܢܫܬܩܠ ܡܢܗ | 18 |
Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, even what he seemeth to have shall be taken away from.
| ܐܬܘ ܕܝܢ ܠܘܬܗ ܐܡܗ ܘܐܚܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܢܡܠܠܘܢ ܥܡܗ ܡܛܠ ܟܢܫܐ | 19 |
Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come near him because of the crowd.
| ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܐܡܟ ܘܐܚܝܟ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܠܒܪ ܘܨܒܝܢ ܠܡܚܙܝܟ | 20 |
And it was told him, saying, Thy mother and thy brethren are standing without, desirous of seeing thee.
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܡܝ ܘܐܚܝ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܥܒܕܝܢ ܠܗ | 21 |
Then he answered and said to them, My mother and my brethren are they, who hear the word of God, and practise it.
| ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܚܕ ܡܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܤܠܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܝܬܒ ܒܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܗܘ ܘܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܥܒܪ ܠܗܘ ܥܒܪܐ ܕܝܡܬܐ | 22 |
And it came to pass on one of the days, that he went himself into a ship, and his disciples, and said unto them, Let us pass over to the farther side of the lake. And they set fail.
| ܘܟܕ ܪܕܝܢ ܕܡܟ ܠܗ ܗܘ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܗܘܬ ܥܠܥܠܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܘܩܪܝܒܐ ܗܘܬ ܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܠܡܛܒܥ | 23 |
And while they were on the passage, he went to sleep: and a hurricane of wind rushed down on the lake; and they were filled with water, and imminent danger.
| ܘܩܪܒܘ ܐܥܝܪܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܪܒܢ ܪܒܢ ܐܒܕܝܢܢ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܩܡ ܘܟܐܐ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܘܒܡܚܫܘܠܐ ܕܝܡܐ ܘܢܚܘ ܘܗܘܐ ܫܠܝܐ | 24 |
Then they came and awoke him, saying, Master, Master, we are perishing. Then arising, he issued his command to the wind, and the billows of water, and they subsided, and there was a calm.
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܗܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܕܚܝܠܝܢ ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܡܢܘ ܟܝ ܗܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܠܪܘܚܐ ܦܩܕ ܘܠܡܚܫܘܠܐ ܘܠܝܡܐ ܘܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ ܠܗ | 25 |
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they feared and were astonished, saying one to another, Well! what a man is this! that he commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey him.
| ܘܪܕܘ ܘܐܬܘ ܠܐܬܪܐ ܕܓܕܪܝܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܥܒܪܐ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܓܠܝܠܐ | 26 |
And they sailed over unto the region of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
| ܘܟܕ ܢܦܩ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܦܓܥ ܒܗ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܕܝܘܐ ܡܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܘܡܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܠܒܫ ܗܘܐ ܘܒܒܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܥܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܒܝܬ ܩܒܘܪܐ | 27 |
And as he landed, there met him a certain man from the city, who had devils for a long while, and kept no clothes on him, and never abode in a house, but in the tombs.
| ܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܩܥܐ ܘܢܦܠ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܐ ܠܢ ܘܠܟ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܪܝܡܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܟ ܠܐ ܬܫܢܩܢܝ | 28 |
But when he saw Jesus, roaring out, he fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God Most High? I pray thee, torment me not.
| ܦܩܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܪܘܚܐ ܛܢܦܐ ܠܡܦܩ ܡܢ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܤܓܝ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܙܒܢܐ ܡܢ ܕܫܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܘܡܬܐܤܪ ܗܘܐ ܒܫܫܠܬܐ ܘܒܟܒܠܐ ܡܬܢܛܪ ܗܘܐ ܘܡܦܤܩ ܗܘܐ ܐܤܘܪܘܗܝ ܘܡܬܕܒܪ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܫܐܕܐ ܠܚܘܪܒܐ | 29 |
For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for many times it had seized on him; and though under a guard, and bound with chains and fetters; yet bursting the bonds, he was driven by the devil into the desert places.
| ܫܐܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢ ܫܡܟ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܠܓܝܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܕܝܘܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܥܠܝܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܗ | 30 |
Then Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? and he said, Legion: for many devils were entered into him.
| ܘܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢܗ ܕܠܐ ܢܦܩܘܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܠܬܗܘܡܐ (Abyssos g12) | 31 |
And he besought him that he would not order them to go into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
| ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܡܢ ܒܩܪܐ ܕܚܙܝܪܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܕܪܥܝܐ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܘܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢܗ ܕܢܦܤ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܒܚܙܝܪܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܘܐܦܤ ܠܗܘܢ | 32 |
Now a herd of many swine was there feeding on the mountain; and they besought him that he would permit them to enter into them. And he permitted them.
| ܘܢܦܩܘ ܫܐܕܐ ܡܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܘܥܠܘ ܒܚܙܝܪܐ ܘܬܪܨܬ ܒܩܪܐ ܗܝ ܟܠܗ ܠܫܩܝܦܐ ܘܢܦܠܘ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܘܐܬܚܢܩܘ | 33 |
Then the devils going out of the man, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down a precipice into the lake, and was suffocated.
| ܟܕ ܚܙܘ ܕܝܢ ܪܥܘܬܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܪܩܘ ܘܐܫܬܥܝܘ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܒܩܘܪܝܐ | 34 |
But when those who fed them saw what was done they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country places.
| ܘܢܦܩܘ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܢܚܙܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܗܘܐ ܘܐܬܘ ܠܘܬ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܫܟܚܘܗܝ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܢܦܩܘ ܫܐܕܘܗܝ ܟܕ ܠܒܝܫ ܘܡܢܟܦ ܘܝܬܒ ܠܘܬ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܘܕܚܠܘ | 35 |
And they came out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus, and found the man sitting, from whom the devils were gone out, clothed, and in his sound mind, at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid.
| ܘܐܫܬܥܝܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܙܘ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܬܐܤܝ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܘܢܐ | 36 |
Then they also who had seen how the demoniac was recovered, told them.
| ܘܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢܗ ܟܠܗ ܟܢܫܐ ܕܓܕܪܝܐ ܕܢܐܙܠ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܕܚܠܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܐܚܕܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܤܠܩ ܠܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܘܗܦܟ ܡܢ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ | 37 |
And the whole multitude of the country around the Gadarenes, entreated him to depart from them; for they were seized with great terror: and he embarked on the vessel, and returned.
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܢܦܩܘ ܡܢܗ ܫܐܕܐ ܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢܗ ܕܠܘܬܗ ܢܗܘܐ ܘܫܪܝܗܝ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ | 38 |
And the man out of whom the devils had gone, besought him to be with him; but Jesus sent him away, saying,
| ܗܦܘܟ ܠܒܝܬܟ ܘܐܫܬܥܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܥܒܕ ܠܟ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܙܠ ܘܡܟܪܙ ܗܘܐ ܒܟܠܗ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܥܒܕ ܠܗ ܝܫܘܥ | 39 |
Return to thy house, and declare what things God hath done for thee. And he went away, and published through the whole city what things Jesus had done for him.
| ܟܕ ܗܦܟ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܩܒܠܗ ܟܢܫܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܠܗ ܚܝܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ | 40 |
And it came to pass, when Jesus returned, the people welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
| ܘܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܕܫܡܗ ܝܘܐܪܫ ܪܝܫ ܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܢܦܠ ܩܕܡ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܘܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢܗ ܕܢܥܘܠ ܠܒܝܬܗ | 41 |
And, behold, there came a man whose name was Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and falling at the feet of Jesus, he entreated him to come to his house;
| ܒܪܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܚܝܕܝܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܬ ܠܗ ܐܝܟ ܒܪܬ ܫܢܝܢ ܬܪܬܥܤܪܐ ܘܩܪܝܒܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܡܡܬ ܘܟܕ ܐܙܠ ܥܡܗ ܗܘ ܝܫܘܥ ܟܢܫܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܚܒܨ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ | 42 |
for he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying: and as he was going, the multitude thronged him.
| ܐܢܬܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܚܕܐ ܕܬܪܝܥ ܗܘܐ ܕܡܗ ܫܢܝܢ ܬܪܬܥܤܪܐ ܗܝ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܤܘܬܐ ܟܠܗ ܩܢܝܢܗ ܐܦܩܬ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܬ ܕܡܢ ܐܢܫ ܬܬܐܤܐ | 43 |
And a woman, who had a flux of blood, for twelve years, who had spent all her substance on physicians, and could not get a cure from any;
| ܐܬܩܪܒܬ ܡܢ ܒܤܬܪܗ ܘܩܪܒܬ ܠܟܢܦܐ ܕܡܐܢܗ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܩܡܬ ܡܪܕܝܬܐ ܕܕܡܗ | 44 |
coming behind him, touched the fringe of his garment; and instantly the flux of her blood stopped.
| ܘܐܡܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܢܘ ܩܪܒ ܠܝ ܘܟܕ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܟܦܪܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܕܥܡܗ ܪܒܢ ܟܢܫܐ ܐܠܨܝܢ ܠܟ ܘܚܒܨܝܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܐܢܬ ܡܢܘ ܩܪܒ ܠܝ | 45 |
And Jesus said, Who touched me? And when all denied, Peter, and those who were with him, said, Master, the multitudes throng and press thee, and sayest thou, Who hath touched me?
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܫ ܩܪܒ ܠܝ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܕܥܬ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܢܦܩ ܡܢܝ | 46 |
Then said Jesus, Some person hath touched me, for I know that miraculous power is gone out from me.
| ܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܟܕ ܚܙܬ ܕܠܐ ܛܥܬܗ ܐܬܬ ܟܕ ܪܬܝܬܐ ܘܢܦܠܬ ܤܓܕܬ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܥܝܢ ܥܡܐ ܟܠܗ ܡܛܠ ܐܝܕܐ ܥܠܬܐ ܩܪܒܬ ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܡܚܕܐ ܐܬܐܤܝܬ | 47 |
Then the woman seeing she was not hid, came trembling, and falling down before him, declared to him before all the people, for what cause she had touched him; and how she was cured instantaneously.
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܬܠܒܒܝ ܒܪܬܝ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܝ ܐܚܝܬܟܝ ܙܠܝ ܒܫܠܡܐ | 48 |
Then he said unto her, Be of good cheer, daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace.
| ܘܥܕ ܗܘ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܬܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܪܒ ܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܝܬܬ ܠܗ ܒܪܬܟ ܠܐ ܬܥܡܠ ܠܡܠܦܢܐ | 49 |
And while he was yet speaking, a person came to the ruler of the synagogue, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead, give the master no further trouble.
| ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܫܡܥ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܐܒܘܗ ܕܛܠܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܗܝܡܢ ܘܚܝܐ | 50 |
Then Jesus hearing it, addressed him, saying, Fear not, only believe, and she shall be saved.
| ܐܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܒܝܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܠܐܢܫ ܕܢܥܘܠ ܥܡܗ ܐܠܐ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܠܐܒܘܗ ܕܛܠܝܬܐ ܘܠܐܡܗ | 51 |
And entering into the house, he suffered no person to come in, but Peter, and James, and John, and the father and mother of the child.
| ܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܟܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܡܪܩܕܝܢ ܥܠܝܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܬܒܟܘܢ ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܝܬܬ ܐܠܐ ܕܡܟܐ ܗܝ | 52 |
Now all were weeping and lamenting her: and he said, Weep not, she is not dead, but asleep.
| ܘܓܚܟܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܕܝܕܥܝܢ ܕܡܝܬܬ ܠܗ | 53 |
And they derided him, for they knew that she was dead.
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܦܩ ܠܟܠܢܫ ܠܒܪ ܘܐܚܕܗ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܘܩܪܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܛܠܝܬܐ ܩܘܡܝ | 54 |
And he put them all without, and taking her by the hand, cried, saying, Maid, arise!
| ܘܗܦܟܬ ܪܘܚܗ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܩܡܬ ܘܦܩܕ ܕܢܬܠܘܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܐܟܠ | 55 |
And her spirit returned, and she immediately arose; and he commanded to give her something to eat.
| ܘܬܡܗܘ ܐܒܗܝܗ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܙܗܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܠܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܗܘܐ | 56 |
And her parents were struck with amazement. But he enjoined them to tell no man what was done.
