| ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܟܠ ܡܢ ܕܢܪܓܙ ܥܠ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܐܝܩܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܘܟܠ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܪܩܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܠܠܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܓܗܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Geenna ) |
but I say to you that he who becomes angry with his brother shall be liable to condemnation by the court; and he who says to his brother’Raca,’ shall be liable to condemnation by the Sanhedrin, while he who curses his brother shall be liable to the Gehenna of Fire. (Geenna )
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܚܨܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܦܩܚ ܠܟ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܐܒܕ ܚܕ ܗܕܡܟ ܘܠܐ ܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܟ ܢܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And if your eye, your right eye, entices you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to lose one of your bodily organs, than to have your whole body go down into the pit. (Geenna )
| ܘܐܢ ܐܝܕܟ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܦܤܘܩ ܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܦܩܚ ܠܟ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܐܒܕ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܗܕܡܝܟ ܘܠܐ ܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܟ ܢܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And if your right hand entices you into sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of your bodily organs, than to have your whole body go down into the pit. (Geenna )

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but fear rather him who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna )
| ܘܐܢܬܝ ܟܦܪܢܚܘܡ ܗܝ ܕܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܐܬܬܪܝܡܬܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܝܘܠ ܬܬܚܬܝܢ ܕܐܠܘ ܒܤܕܘܡ ܗܘܘ ܚܝܠܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܗܘܘ ܒܟܝ ܩܝܡܐ ܗܘܬ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ (Hadēs ) |
"And you too, Capernaum! Will you be exalted even to heaven? You shall go down to the Place of Death! For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which have been done in you, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs )
| ܘܟܠ ܡܢ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܡܠܬܐ ܥܠ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ ܠܗ ܟܠ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܢܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ ܠܗ ܠܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܕܥܬܝܕ (aiōn ) |
"And if any man say a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in that which is to come. (aiōn )
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܟܘܒܐ ܐܙܕܪܥ ܗܘ ܗܘ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܪܢܝܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܛܘܥܝܝ ܕܥܘܬܪܐ ܚܢܩܝܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܗܘܝܐ (aiōn ) |
"And the seed sown among thorns is he who hears the word, but the anxieties of the age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn )
| ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܙܪܥ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܤܛܢܐ ܚܨܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܚܨܘܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܐܟܐ (aiōn ) |
"The enemy who sows the weeds is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age. The reapers are the angels. (aiōn )
| ܐܝܟܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܡܬܓܒܝܢ ܙܝܙܢܐ ܘܝܩܕܝܢ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ (aiōn ) |
"Just as the weeds are collected together and burnt with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. (aiōn )
| ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܢܦܩܘܢ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܘܢܦܪܫܘܢ ܒܝܫܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܢܝ ܙܕܝܩܐ (aiōn ) |
"So will it be at the end of the age. The angels will go forth and separate the wicked from the righteous, and fling them into the furnace of fire. (aiōn )
| ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܕܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܥܠ ܗܕܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܐܒܢܝܗ ܠܥܕܬܝ ܘܬܪܥܐ ܕܫܝܘܠ ܠܐ ܢܚܤܢܘܢܗ (Hadēs ) |
"Moreover I say to you that you are Petros (a rock), and on this petra (rock) I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against her. (Hadēs )
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܕܟ ܐܘ ܪܓܠܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܦܤܘܩܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܛܒ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܟܕ ܚܓܝܤ ܐܢܬ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܦܫܝܓ ܘܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܝܕܝܢ ܐܘ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܪܓܠܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
"If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, than to keep both hands or both feet and be cast into the everlasting burning. (aiōnios )
| ܘܐܢ ܗܘ ܕܥܝܢܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܚܨܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܛܒ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܒܚܕܐ ܥܝܢܐ ܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܥܝܢܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Geenna ) |
"If your eye keeps causing you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with only one eye, than to keep both eyes and be cast into the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna )
| ܘܐܬܐ ܚܕ ܩܪܒ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܛܒܐ ܡܢܐ ܕܛܒ ܐܥܒܕ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܝ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
But look! a certain man came up to him and asked, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do to inherit eternal life?" (aiōnios )
| ܘܟܠܢܫ ܕܫܒܩ ܒܬܐ ܐܘ ܐܚܐ ܐܘ ܐܚܘܬܐ ܐܘ ܐܒܐ ܐܘ ܐܡܐ ܐܘ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܐܘ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܘ ܩܘܪܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ ܚܕ ܒܡܐܐ ܢܩܒܠ ܘܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܢܐܪܬ (aiōnios ) |
"And every one who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall many times as much, and fall heir to eternal life. (aiōnios )
| ܘܚܙܐ ܬܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܠܘܬܗ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܟܚ ܒܗ ܡܕܡ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܛܪܦܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܟܝ ܬܘܒ ܦܐܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܝܒܫܬ ܬܬܐ ܗܝ (aiōn ) |
and when he saw a solitary fig tree beside the road, he went to it, but found nothing on it but leaves. And he said to it, "Let no man gather fruit from you forever." And at once the fig tree withered away. (aiōn )
| ܘܝ ܠܟܘܢ ܤܦܪܐ ܘܦܪܝܫܐ ܢܤܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܕܡܬܟܪܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܡܐ ܘܝܒܫܐ ܕܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܚܕ ܓܝܘܪܐ ܘܡܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܗ ܒܪܗ ܕܓܗܢܐ ܐܥܦܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ (Geenna ) |
"Woe unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you scour sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is gained, you make him twofold more a son of hell than you are, yourselves. (Geenna )
| ܚܘܘܬܐ ܝܠܕܐ ܕܐܟܕܢܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܬܥܪܩܘܢ ܡܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
"You serpents! You vipers brood! How shall you escape the judgment of hell? (Geenna )
| ܘܟܕ ܝܬܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܥܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܙܝܬܐ ܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܒܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܗ ܐܡܪ ܠܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܐܬܐ ܕܡܐܬܝܬܟ ܘܕܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ (aiōn ) |
When he had seated himself on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?" (aiōn )
| ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪ ܐܦ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܤܡܠܗ ܙܠܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢܝ ܠܝܛܐ ܠܢܘܪܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܗܝ ܕܡܛܝܒܐ ܠܐܟܠܩܪܨܐ ܘܠܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ (aiōnios ) |
"Then he will say to those also at his left hand. ‘Depart from me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; (aiōnios )
| ܘܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܠܬܫܢܝܩܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܠܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
"And these will go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous into eternal life." (aiōnios )
| ܘܐܠܦܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܢܛܪܘܢ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܦܩܕܬܟܘܢ ܘܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܐܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
teaching them to observe every command which I have given you. and lo! I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." (aiōn )
| ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܓܕܦ ܥܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܐܠܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit is never forgiven. Nay, he is in the grasp of an eternal sin." (aiōn , aiōnios )
| ܘܪܢܝܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܛܘܥܝܝ ܕܥܘܬܪܐ ܘܫܪܟܐ ܕܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ ܥܐܠܢ ܚܢܩܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܗܘܝܐ (aiōn ) |
When they have heard the Word, the anxieties of life and the snares of wealth, and all sorts of other ambitions, come in to choke the Word, so that it proves unfruitful. (aiōn )
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܐܝܕܟ ܦܤܘܩܝܗ ܦܩܚ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܦܫܝܓܐ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܝܕܝܢ ܬܐܙܠ ܠܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
"If your hand cause you to stumble, cut it off! It is better to be maimed and to enter into life than to have two hands and go away into hell, into the fire that cannot be put out. (Geenna )
| ܘܐܢ ܪܓܠܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܦܤܘܩܝܗ ܦܩܚ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܚܓܝܤܐ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܪܓܠܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
If your foot cause you to stumble, cut it off! It is better to enter into the life a cripple, than to have two feet and be cast into hell. (Geenna )
| ܘܐܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܚܨܝܗ ܦܩܚ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܒܚܕܐ ܥܝܢܟ ܬܥܘܠ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܥܝܢܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Geenna ) |
If your eye cause you to stumble, tear it out! It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God one-eyed that to keep both your eyes and be cast into hell, (Geenna )
| ܘܟܕ ܪܕܐ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܪܗܛ ܚܕ ܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܒܘܪܟܘܗܝ ܘܡܫܐܠ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܛܒܐ ܡܢܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܕܐܬܪ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
As he started to go forth into the road, a man came running up to him, and knelt down before him. "Good Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" (aiōnios )
| ܘܠܐ ܢܩܒܠ ܚܕ ܒܡܐܐ ܗܫܐ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܬܐ ܘܐܚܐ ܘܐܚܘܬܐ ܘܐܡܗܬܐ ܘܒܢܝܐ ܘܩܘܪܝܐ ܥܡ ܪܕܘܦܝܐ ܘܒܥܠܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
but shall receive a hundred times as much, now in this present world, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, lands-and persecutions with them - and in the world to come eternal life. (aiōn , aiōnios )
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܟܝܠ ܘܠܥܠܡ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܝ ܦܐܪܐ ܠܐ ܢܐܟܘܠ ܘܫܡܥܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܬܘ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ (aiōn ) |
So, addressing the tree, he said, "Let no man ever more eat fruit from you." And the disciples heard it. (aiōn )
| ܘܢܡܠܟ ܥܠ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܠܥܠܡ ܘܠܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܤܘܦ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ (aiōn ) |
"and he shall reign over the House of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end." (aiōn )

"As he spoke to our forefathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever." (aiōn )

"As he spake by the mouth of his holy Prophets Which have been since the world began (aiōn )
| ܘܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢܗ ܕܠܐ ܢܦܩܘܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܠܬܗܘܡܐ (Abyssos ) |
So they besought Jesus not to command them to go away into the abyss. (Abyssos )
| ܘܐܢܬܝ ܟܦܪܢܚܘܡ ܗܝ ܕܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܐܬܬܪܝܡܬܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܝܘܠ ܬܬܚܬܝܢ (Hadēs ) |
"And you Capernaum, shall you be exalted to heaven? No! you shall be brought down to Hades! (Hadēs )
| ܘܗܐ ܤܦܪܐ ܚܕ ܩܡ ܕܢܢܤܝܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܡܢܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܕܐܪܬ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
Then a certain lawyer stood up and tempted him. "Master," he said "what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" (aiōnios )
| ܐܚܘܝܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܡܢ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܗܘ ܕܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܩܛܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܡܪܡܝܘ ܒܓܗܢܐ ܐܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܗܢܐ ܕܚܠܘ (Geenna ) |
"I will warn you whom you ought to fear. Fear him who, after he was after he has killed, has power to throw you into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Geenna )
| ܘܫܒܚ ܡܪܢ ܠܪܒܝܬܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܕܚܟܝܡܐܝܬ ܥܒܕ ܒܢܘܗܝ ܓܝܪ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܚܟܝܡܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܢܘܗܪܐ ܒܫܪܒܬܗܘܢ ܗܕܐ (aiōn ) |
"And the master praised the unjust steward because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this world are in relation to their own generation wiser than the sons of the light. (aiōn )
| ܘܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܪܚܡܐ ܡܢ ܡܡܘܢܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܕܡܐ ܕܓܡܪ ܢܩܒܠܘܢܟܘܢ ܒܡܛܠܝܗܘܢ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
"And to you I say, Use mammon, dishonest as it is, to make yourselves friends, so that when it shall fail they will welcome you to the eternal tabernacles. (aiōnios )
| ܘܟܕ ܡܫܬܢܩ ܒܫܝܘܠ ܐܪܝܡ ܥܝܢܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܪܘܚܩܐ ܘܚܙܐ ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܘܠܠܥܙܪ ܒܥܘܒܗ (Hadēs ) |
"And as he was tormented in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs )
| ܘܫܐܠܗ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܪܫܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܛܒܐ ܡܢܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܕܐܪܬ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
A ruler put this question to him. "Good teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" (aiōnios )
| ܘܠܐ ܢܩܒܠ ܒܐܥܦܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܒܗܢܐ ܙܒܢܐ ܘܒܥܠܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
"who shall not certainly receive many times as much in this time, and in the age to come eternal." (aiōn , aiōnios )
| ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܢܤܒܝܢ ܢܫܐ ܘܢܫܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ (aiōn ) |
"People in this world marry and are given in marriage," said Jesus, (aiōn )
| ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܠܗܘ ܥܠܡܐ ܫܘܘ ܘܠܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܢܤܒܝܢ ܢܫܐ ܘܐܦ ܠܐ ܢܫܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ (aiōn ) |
"but those who are counted worthy to reach that world and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. (aiōn )

"I am giving them eternal life, and they shall never perish, nor shall any one snatch them out of my hand. (aiōn , aiōnios )

Then the people answered. "We have heard out of the Law that the Christ abides forever. What do you mean by ‘The Son of man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of man?" (aiōn )

Peter answered, "No, never shall you wash my feet." "If I do not wash you," said Jesus, "you have no part in me." (aiōn )

So Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly. "It was necessary," they said, "first to proclaim the word of God to you. But since you push it away from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios )

For ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, even his everlasting power and divinity, has been clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made. So they have no excuse. (aïdios )

because they exchanged the truth of God for an untruth, and worshiped and served the creature, rather than the Creator who is blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn )

in order that as sin has ruled as king in death, so also grace might rule as king in righteousness which issues in eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord, - ours! (aiōnios )

Notwithstanding, among those who are mature I do teach philosophy; though not the philosophy of the present age, nor of its rulers who are coming to nought. (aiōn )

No, it is God’s wisdom that I utter, that hidden wisdom which God had decreed before the world began, unto our glory. (aiōn )
| ܗܝ ܕܚܕ ܡܢ ܫܠܝܛܢܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܗ ܐܠܘ ܓܝܪ ܝܕܥܘܗ ܠܘ ܠܡܪܗ ܕܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܙܩܦܝܢ ܗܘܘ (aiōn ) |
None of the rulers of the present age understands it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. (aiōn )

Let no one deceive himself. If any one of you supposes that he is wise in the philosophy of the present age, let him become foolish, so that he may be wise. (aiōn )

Therefore, if what I eat makes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, lest I make my brother to stumble. (aiōn )

Now these things were happening to them typically, but were written down for our admonition who stand at the meeting of the ages. (aiōn )

Among them the god of this age has blinded the understanding of the unbelieving so that the sunshine of the gospel of God, should not dawn upon them. (aiōn )

For my light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working out for me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, (aiōnios )

while I am gazing not at things seen, but at things unseen; for things seen are temporal, but things unseen are eternal. (aiōnios )

For I know, if this earthly tent of mine were struck, I have a mansion built by God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios )

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, he who is blessed forever, knows that I am telling the truth. (aiōn )

who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil age in accordance with the will of our God and Father, (aiōn )

The man who is sowing to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption; but he who is sowing to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap life eternal. (aiōnios )

far above all hierarchies and authorities and powers and dominions and every name that is named, not only in this age but in that which is to come. (aiōn )

in which you passed your lives after the way of this world, under the sway of the Prince of the Powers of the Air, the spirit who is now working among the sons of disobedience. (aiōn )
| ܕܢܚܘܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܕܐܬܝܢ ܪܒܘܬܐ ܕܥܘܬܪܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܘܒܤܝܡܘܬܗ ܕܗܘܬ ܥܠܝܢ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ (aiōn ) |
in order that he might show to the ages to come the amazing riches of his grace by his goodness to us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn )

and should make all men see the new dispensation of that secret purpose, hidden from eternity in the God who founded the universe, (aiōn )

according to his eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn )

to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, to all generations, world without end, Amen. (aiōn )

For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the despotisms, the empires, the rulers of this present darkness, the spirit-hosts of evil in the heavenly realm. (aiōn )

that secret truth, which, although hidden from ages and generations of old, has now been made manifest to his saints. (aiōn )

They shall suffer punishment, even an eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the brightness of his glorious majesty, (aiōnios )

And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and a good hope in grace, (aiōnios )

Yet for this very cause I obtained mercy, so that in me, the chief of sinners, Jesus Christ might display all his boundless patience as an illustration for those who should later believe in him, and so gain life eternal. (aiōnios )

Keep contending in the noble contest of the faith; seize hold on eternal life, to which you were called when you confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (aiōnios )

who alone possesses immortality, who dwells in light that none can approach, whom no man has ever seen or can see; to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen. (aiōnios )

Charge the rich of this world not to be supercilious, nor to trust in uncertain riches, but in God, who provides all things richly for our use. (aiōn )

He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not dealing with us according to our works, but according to his purpose and grace which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. (aiōnios )

And the Lord will rescue me from every evil assault, and will preserve me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen! (aiōn )

And schooling us to renounce impiety and evil passions, And to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; (aiōn )

In order that being justified by his grace, We might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios )

But to the Son he says. Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of thy kingdom is the scepter of justice. (aiōn )

and again, Thou art a priest forever, after the order of Melchisedek. (aiōn )
| ܘܗܟܢܐ ܐܬܓܡܪ ܘܗܘܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ ܠܗ ܥܠܬܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
and by being thus made perfect, he became the source of enduring salvation to all who obey him, (aiōnios )

of the teaching regarding ablutions and the laying on of hands, of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios )

and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the Future Age, (aiōn )

whither Jesus himself is entered as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a priest forever, after the order of Melchisedek. (aiōn )

For although those priests became such without an oath, He had an oath form God who said to him, The Lord hath sworn and will not change, Thou art a priest forever. (aiōn )

And because of this he is the Mediator of a new testament, in order that, since a death has taken place to atone for offenses committed under the first testament, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. (aiōnios )

And the tongue is a fire; it is a very world of iniquity among our members, defiling the whole body, and setting on fire the wheel of nature, and is itself set on fire by hell. (Geenna )

If any one preaches, let him always preach as one who utters God’s truth; if any one serves another, let it be with the strength which God supplies; so that in every way God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory and dominion for ever and ever, Amen. (aiōn )

But the God of all grace, who has called us by Christ Jesus to share his eternal glory, will, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios )

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to chains of darkness, and reserved them for judgment; (Tartaroō )

But grow continually in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and unto the Day of Eternity, Amen. (aiōn )

And the Life was made visible, and we have seen it and are bearing witness, and are bringing you word of that Eternal Life which was face to face with the Father and was made visible to us. (aiōnios )

and the world and its lusts are passing away, but he who ever does the will of God abides forever. (aiōn )

And this is the promise which he has promised to us even life eternal. (aiōnios )

And we know that the Son of God is come, and has granted us and understanding, so that we may come to know him who is true. And we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and life eternal. (aiōnios )

while the angels who did not keep their first domain but left their proper abode, are held by him in blank darkness, in everlasting chains, in preparation for the judgment of the Great Day. (aïdios )

So also Sodom and Gomorrah and the near-by cities which in like manner glutted themselves in sensuality and unnatural vice, are exhibited as a warning of the eternal fire, in the punishment they undergo. (aiōnios )

wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. (aiōn )

must keep yourselves in the love of God, while waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which ends in life eternal. (aiōnios )

to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be ascribed glory, majesty, might, and authority, as it was before time began, is now, and ever shall be to all the ages. Amen. (aiōn )

| ܘܝܡܐ ܒܗܘ ܕܚܝ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܗܘ ܕܒܪܗ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܘܕܒܗ ܘܠܐܪܥܐ ܘܕܒܗ ܕܬܘܒ ܙܒܢܐ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ (aiōn ) |
and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and all that is in it, and the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, "Delay there shall be no more, (aiōn )
| ܘܡܐ ܕܫܡܠܝܘ ܤܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܤܠܩܐ ܡܢ ܝܡܐ ܬܥܒܕ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܘܬܙܟܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܬܩܛܘܠ ܐܢܘܢ (Abyssos ) |
"And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that is coming up out of the bottomless pit will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos )
| ܘܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܫܒܥܐ ܙܥܩ ܘܗܘܘ ܩܠܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܬ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܕܐܠܗܢ ܘܕܡܫܝܚܗ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And the seventh angel blew his trumpet; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, "THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD ARE BECOME THE KINGDOM OF OUR LORD AND OF HIS CHRIST, AND HE WILL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER." (aiōn )
| ܘܚܙܝܬ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܦܪܚ ܡܨܥܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܤܒܪܬܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܠܡܤܒܪܘ ܥܠ ܝܬܒܝ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܥܡ ܘܐܡܘܢ ܘܫܪܒܢ ܘܠܫܢ (aiōnios ) |
Then I saw another angel who was flying in mid-heaven. He had an eternal evangel, to evangelize all the dwellers on the earth, of every nation and tribe and tongue and people. (aiōnios )
| ܘܬܢܢܐ ܕܬܫܢܝܩܗܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܢܤܩ ܘܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܦܐܫܐ ܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܠܠܝܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܤܓܕܝܢ ܠܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܠܨܠܡܗ ܘܠܡܢ ܕܫܩܠ ܪܘܫܡܐ ܕܫܡܗ (aiōn ) |
And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; And they have no rest day or night, Who worship the beast and his image, And all who receive the brand of his name." (aiōn )
| ܘܚܕܐ ܡܢ ܐܪܒܥ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܫܒܥܐ ܡܠܐܟܝܢ ܫܒܥ ܙܒܘܪܝܢ ܕܡܠܝܢ ܚܡܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܚܝܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And one of the four Living Creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls, full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. (aiōn )
| ܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܚܙܝܬ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܘܠܝܬܝܗ ܥܬܝܕܐ ܕܬܤܩ ܡܢ ܝܡܐ ܘܠܐܒܕܢܐ ܐܙܠܐ ܘܢܬܕܡܪܘܢ ܥܡܪܝ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܟܬܝܒܝܢ ܫܡܗܝܗܘܢ ܒܤܦܪܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܡܢ ܬܪܡܝܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܘܠܝܬܝܗ ܘܩܪܒܬ (Abyssos ) |
The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the bottomless pit, and to go into perdition. And those who dwell on the earth shall wonder, those whose names have never, from the foundation of the world, been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, when they gaze on the beast; how he was and is not, and is to come. (Abyssos )
| ܕܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܡܪܘ ܗܠܠܘܝܐ ܘܬܢܢܗ ܤܠܩ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And a second time they said. "Allelulia! For the smoke of her torment goes up forever and ever!" (aiōn )
| ܘܐܬܬܨܝܕܬ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܥܡܗ ܗܘ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܗ ܕܒܗܝܢ ܐܛܥܝ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܢܤܒܘ ܪܘܫܡܐ ܕܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܤܓܕܘ ܠܨܠܡܗ ܘܢܚܬܘ ܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܬܪܡܝܘ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܕܝܩܕܐ ܘܕܟܒܪܝܬܐ (Limnē Pyr ) |
And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed miracles in his presence to deceive those who had received the brand of the beast, and those who worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into the lake of fire, blazing with brimstone. (Limnē Pyr )
| ܘܚܙܝܬ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܢܚܬ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܩܠܝܕܐ ܕܬܗܘܡܐ ܘܫܝܫܠܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܒܐܝܕܗ (Abyssos ) |
And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, with the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )
| ܘܐܪܡܝܗ ܒܬܗܘܡܐ ܘܐܚܕ ܘܛܒܥ ܠܥܠ ܡܢܗ ܕܠܐ ܬܘܒ ܢܛܥܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܝܗܝܒ ܠܡܫܪܝܗ ܩܠܝܠ ܙܒܢܐ (Abyssos ) |
and flung him into the bottomless pit, and shut and sealed it over him, so that he should seduce the nations no more, until the thousand years were completed. After that it is necessary to loose him for a little while. (Abyssos )
| ܘܐܟܠܩܪܨܐ ܡܛܥܝܢܗܘܢ ܐܬܪܡܝ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܘܟܒܪܝܬܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܘܢܫܬܢܩܘܢ ܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܠܠܝܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn , Limnē Pyr ) |
and the devil who had been deceiving them was hurled into the lake of fire and brimstone, where lie also the beast and the false prophet. And they will be tortured day and night, forever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
| ܘܝܗܒ ܝܡܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܒܗ ܘܡܘܬܐ ܘܫܝܘܠ ܝܗܒܘ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܨܐܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܬܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܚܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܕܝܗܘܢ (Hadēs ) |
The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. And all were judged according to their deeds. (Hadēs )
| ܘܡܘܬܐ ܘܫܝܘܠ ܐܬܪܡܝܘ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܘܬܐ ܬܢܝܢܐ (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr ) |
And Death and Hades were hurled into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr )
| ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܐܫܬܟܚ ܕܪܫܝܡ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܐܬܪܡܝ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Limnē Pyr ) |
And if any one was found who was not written in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire. (Limnē Pyr )
| ܠܩܢܘܛܬܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܥܘܠܐ ܘܡܤܝܒܐ ܘܩܛܘܠܐ ܘܚܪܫܐ ܘܙܢܝܐ ܘܦܠܚܝ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܓܠܐ ܡܢܬܗܘܢ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܝܩܕܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܘܟܒܪܝܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܡܘܬܐ ܬܢܝܢܐ (Limnē Pyr ) |
But as for the cowards, the faithless, the abominable, And for the murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, Idolaters, and all liars, Their part will be in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone. "This is the second death." (Limnē Pyr )
| ܘܠܠܝܐ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܬܡܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܒܥܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܘܫܪܓܐ ܘܢܘܗܪܗ ܕܫܡܫܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܢܗܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܡܠܟܗܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
His name will need no lamplight nor sunlight, Because the Lord God will give them light; And they will reign forever and ever. (aiōn )
