ܥܒܪ̈ܝܐ 3

1 ܡܟܝܠ ܐܚܝ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܐܬܩܪܝܬܘܢ ܒܩܪܝܢܐ ܕܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܚܙܐܘܗܝ ܠܗܢܐ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܘܪܒ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܕܬܘܕܝܬܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ

Wherfore holy brethren partakers of the celestiall callinge cosyder the embasseatour and hye prest of oure profession Christ Iesus

2 ܕܡܗܝܡܢ ܠܡܢ ܕܥܒܕܗ ܐܝܟ ܡܘܫܐ ܒܟܠܗ ܒܝܬܗ

which was faythfull to him that made him even as was Moses in all his housse.

3 ܤܓܝܐܐ ܗܝ ܓܝܪ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܗ ܕܗܢܐ ܛܒ ܡܢ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܤܓܝ ܐܝܩܪܐ ܕܒܢܝܗ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܛܒ ܡܢ ܒܢܝܢܗ

And this man was counted worthy of more glory then Moses: In as moche as he which hath prepared the housse hath most honoure in the housse.

4 ܟܠ ܒܝܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܢ ܐܢܫ ܗܘ ܡܬܒܢܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܢܐ ܟܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ

Every housse is prepared of some man. But he that ordeyned all thinges is god.

5 ܘܡܘܫܐ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܕܐ ܐܬܗܝܡܢ ܒܒܝܬܐ ܟܠܗ ܠܤܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܥܬܝܕܢ ܗܘܝ ܠܡܬܡܠܠܘ ܒܐܝܕܗ

And Moses verely was faythfull in all his housse as a minister to beare witnes of tho thinges which shuld be spoken afterwarde.

6 ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܒܪܐ ܥܠ ܒܝܬܗ ܘܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܝܬܗ ܚܢܢ ܐܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܚܪܬܐ ܢܐܚܘܕ ܓܠܝܘܬ ܐܦܐ ܘܫܘܒܗܪܐ ܕܤܒܪܗ

But Christ as a sonne hath rule over the housse whose housse are we so that we hold fast the confydence and the reioysynge of that hope vnto the ende.

7 ܡܛܠ ܕܐܡܪܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ ܐܢ ܒܩܠܗ ܬܫܡܥܘܢ

Wherfore as the holy goost sayth: to daye if ye shall heare his voyce

8 ܠܐ ܬܩܫܘܢ ܠܒܘܬܟܘܢ ܠܡܪܓܙܘܬܗ ܐܝܟ ܡܡܪܡܪܢܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܢܤܝܘܢܐ ܕܒܡܕܒܪܐ

harden not youre hertes after the rebellyon in the daye of temptacion in the wildernes

9 ܕܢܤܝܘܢܝ ܐܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܒܩܘ ܚܙܘ ܥܒܕܝ ܐܪܒܥܝܢ ܫܢܝܢ

where youre fathers tempted me proved me and sawe my workes xl. yeare longe.

10 ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܡܐܢܬ ܠܝ ܒܕܪܐ ܗܘ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܕܥܡܐ ܗܘ ܕܛܥܐ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܘ ܐܘܪܚܬܝ

Wherfore I was greved wt ye generacio and sayde. They erre ever in their hertes: they verely have not knowe my wayes

11 ܘܐܝܟ ܕܝܡܝܬ ܒܪܘܓܙܝ ܕܠܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܝܚܬܝ

so that I sware in my wrathe that they shuld not enter into my rest.

12 ܐܙܕܗܪܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܐܚܝ ܕܠܡܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܠܒܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢ ܘܬܦܪܩܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܚܝܐ

Take hede brethren that therbe in none of you an evyll herte in vnbeleve that he shuld departe from ye lyvynge god:

13 ܐܠܐ ܒܥܘ ܡܢ ܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܬܩܫܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܒܛܥܝܘܬܐ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ

but exhorte one another dayly whill is it called to daye lest eny of you wexe harde herted thorow ye deceytfullnesse of sinne

14 ܐܬܚܠܛܢ ܓܝܪ ܥܡ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܐܢ ܡܢ ܪܝܫܝܬܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܚܪܝܬܐ ܒܗ ܒܩܝܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܢܚܡܤܢ

We are partetakers of Christ yf we kepe sure vnto the ende the fyrst substance

15 ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܡܝܪ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ ܐܢ ܒܪܬ ܩܠܗ ܬܫܡܥܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܩܫܘܢ ܠܒܘܬܟܘܢ ܠܡܪܓܙܘܬܗ

so longe as it is sayd: to daye yf ye heare his voyce harde not youre hertes as when ye rebelled.

16 ܡܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܫܡܥܘ ܘܐܪܓܙܘܗܝ ܠܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܢܦܩܘ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ ܒܝܕ ܡܘܫܐ

For some whe they hearde rebelled: howbe it not all yt ca out of Egypt vnder Moses.

17 ܘܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܡܐܢܬ ܠܗ ܐܪܒܥܝܢ ܫܢܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܕܚܛܘ ܘܓܪܡܝܗܘܢ ܢܦܠܘ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ

But with who was he despleased. xl. yeares? Was he not displeased with them that synned: whose carkases were overthorwen in the desert?

18 ܘܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܝܡܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܝܚܬܗ ܐܠܐ ܥܠ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܐܬܛܦܝܤܘ

To whom sware he that they shuld not enter into his rest: but vnto them that beleved not?

19 ܘܚܙܝܢܢ ܕܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܘ ܠܡܥܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܗܝܡܢܘ

And we se that they coulde not enter in because of vnbeleve.
