المَزامِير 92

١ 1 مَا أَحْسَنَ تَقْدِيمَ الشُّكْرِ لَكَ يَارَبُّ وَالتَّرْنِيمَ لاسْمِكَ أَيُّهَا العَلِيُّ!

It is a good thing to yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, to sing zahmar ·musical praise· to your name, Most High;

٢ 2 مَا أَحْسَنَ أَنْ يُلْهَجَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي الصَّبَاحِ، وَبِأَمَانَتِكَ فِي اللَّيَالِي،

to proclaim your cheshed ·loving-kindness· in the morning, and your faithfulness every night,

٣ 3 عَلَى أَنْغَامِ الآلاَتِ الْمُوسِيقِيَّةِ الْوَتَرِيَّةِ، وَعَلَى الرَّبَابِ وَأَلْحَانِ الْعُودِ الْعَذْبَةِ!

with the ten-stringed lute, with the harp, and with the lyre's solemn higgayon (meditation)

٤ 4 سَأُشِيدُ بِكُلِّ مَا عَمِلَتْهُ يَدَاكَ لأَنَّكَ يَارَبُّ فَرَّحْتَنِي بِصَنِيعِكَ.

For you, Adonai, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands.

٥ 5 يَارَبُّ مَا أَعْظَمَ أَعْمَالَكَ! أَفْكَارُكَ عَمِيقَةٌ جِدّاً،

How great are your works, Adonai! Your thoughts are very deep.

٦ 6 لاَ يَعْرِفُهَا الْغَبِيُّ وَلاَ يَفْهَمُهَا الْجَاهِلُ.

A senseless man does not know, neither does a fool understand this:

٧ 7 إِذَا زَهَا الأَشْرَارُ كَالْعُشْبِ، وَأَزْهَرَ جَمِيعُ فَاعِلِي الإِثْمِ فَإِنَّهُمْ كَالْعُشْبِ يُبَادُونَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all the evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.

٨ 8 أَمَّا أَنْتَ يَارَبُّ فَمُتَعَالٍ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

But you, Adonai, are on high forever more.

٩ 9 فَيَارَبُّ، هَا هُمْ أَعْدَاؤُكَ يَهْلِكُونَ إِلَى الدَّهْرِ، إذْ يَتَبَدَّدُ جَمِيعُ فَاعِلِي الإِثْمِ.

For, behold, your enemies, Adonai, for, behold, your enemies shall perish. All the evildoers will be scattered.

١٠ 10 أَمَّا أَنَا فَتَرْفَعُ شَأْنِي كَمَا يَرْتَفِعُ قَرْنُ الثَّوْرِ الْوَحْشِيِّ، وَأَنْتَعِشُ كَمَنْ تَدَهَّنَ بِزَيْتٍ جَدِيدٍ

But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.

١١ 11 وَتَنْظُرُ عَيْنَايَ عِقَابَ أَعْدَائِي الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ لِي، وَتَسْمَعُ أُذُنَايَ بِمَصِيرِ فَاعِلِي الشَّرِّ الثَّائِرِينَ عَلَيَّ.

My eye has also seen my enemies. My ears have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· of the wicked enemies who rise up against me.

١٢ 12 الصِّدِّيقُ يَزْهُو كَالنَّخْلَةِ وَيَنْمُو كَالأَرْزِ فِي لُبْنَانَ.

The upright shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

١٣ 13 لأَنَّ الْمَغْرُوسِينَ فِي بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ يَزْدَهِرُونَ فِي دِيَارِ بَيْتِ إِلَهِنَا

They are planted in Adonai’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts.

١٤ 14 يُثْمِرُونَ أَيْضاً فِي الشَّيْخُوخَةِ، وَيَظَلُّونَ مَوْفُورِي الْعَافِيَةِ وَالنُّضْرَةِ

They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,

١٥ 15 لِيَشْهَدُوا أَنَّ الرَّبَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ. إِنَّهُ صَخْرَتِي وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ سُوءٌ.

to show that Adonai is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
