المَزامِير 23

١ 1 الرَّبُّ رَاعِيَّ فَلَسْتُ أَحْتَاجُ إِلَى شَيْءٍ.

Adonai is my Ro'i [Shepherd Provider]: I shall lack nothing.

٢ 2 فِي مَرَاعٍ خَضْرَاءَ يُرْبِضُنِي، وَإِلَى مِيَاهٍ هَادِئَةٍ يَقُودُنِي.

He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

٣ 3 يُنْعِشُ نَفْسِي وَيُرْشِدُنِي إِلَى طُرُقِ الْبِرِّ إِكْرَاماً لاِسْمِهِ.

He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

٤ 4 حَتَّى إِذَا اجْتَزْتُ وَادِي ظِلاَلِ الْمَوْتِ، لاَ أَخَافُ سُوءاً لأَنَّكَ تُرَافِقُنِي. عَصَاكَ وَعُكَّازُكَ هُمَا مَعِي يُشَدِّدَانِ عَزِيمَتِي.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

٥ 5 تَبْسُطُ أَمَامِي مَأْدُبَةً عَلَى مَرْأَىً مِنْ أَعْدَائِي. مَسَحْتَ بِالزَّيْتِ رَأْسِي، وَأَفَضْتَ كَأْسِي.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.

٦ 6 إِنَّمَا خَيْرٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ يَتْبَعَانِنِي طَوَالَ حَيَاتِي، وَيَكُونُ بَيْتُ الرَّبِّ مَسْكَناً لِي مَدَى الأَيَّامِ.

Surely goodness and cheshed ·loving-kindness· shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Adonai’s house forever.
