المَزامِير 14

١ 1 قَالَ الْجَاهِلُ فِي قَلْبِهِ: لاَ يُوجَدُ إِلَهٌ! قَدْ فَسَدَ الْبَشَرُ وَارْتَكَبُوا الْمُوبِقَاتِ، وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمْ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ الصَّلاَحَ.

[For the Chief Musician. By David.] The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable works. There is none who does good.

٢ 2 أَشْرَفَ الرَّبُّ عَلَى بَنِي آدَمَ لِيَرَى هَلْ هُنَاكَ أَيُّ فَاهِمٍ يَطْلُبُ اللهَ؟

The LORD looks down from heaven on the descendants of Adam, to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.

٣ 3 فَإِذَا الْجَمِيعُ قَدْ ضَلُّوا عَلَى السَّوَاءِ. كُلُّهُمْ فَسَدُوا، وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمْ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ الصَّلاَحَ، وَلاَ وَاحِدٌ.

They have all turned away. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

٤ 4 أَلَيْسَ لَدَى جَمِيعِ فَاعِلِي الإِثْمِ مَعْرِفَةٌ؟ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ شَعْبِي كَمَا يَأْكُلُونَ خُبْزاً، وَلا يَطْلُبُونَ الرَّبَّ.

Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on the LORD.

٥ 5 هُنَاكَ اسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ خَوْفٌ عَظِيمٌ، لأَنَّ اللهَ فِي جَمَاعَةِ الأَبْرَارِ.

There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

٦ 6 تُسَفِّهُونَ رَأْيَ الْمِسْكِينِ، لأَنَّهُ جَعَلَ اللهَ مَلْجَأَهُ.

You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but the LORD is his refuge.

٧ 7 لَيْتَ مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ خَلاَصَ إِسْرَائِيلَ. عِنْدَمَا يَرُدُّ الرَّبُّ سَبْيَ شَعْبِهِ، يَبْتَهِجُ يَعْقُوبُ، وَيَفْرَحُ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ.

Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.
