المَزامِير 125

١ 1 الْوَاثِقُونَ بِالرَّبِّ هُمْ مِثْلُ جَبَلِ صِهْيَوْنَ الرَّاسِخِ الَّذِي لاَ يَتَزَعْزَعُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Those who trust in Adonai are as Mount Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], which can’t be moved, but remains forever.

٢ 2 كَمَا تُحِيطُ الْجِبَالُ بِأُورُشَلِيمَ، كَذَلِكَ يُحِيطُ الرَّبُّ بِشَعْبِهِ مِنَ الآنَ وَإِلَى الأَبَدِ،

As the mountains surround Jerusalem [City of peace], so Adonai surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

٣ 3 فَلاَ يَتَسَلَّطُ الأَشْرَارُ عَلَى نَصِيبِ الأَبْرَارِ لِئَلاَّ يَمُدَّ الأَبْرَارُ أَيْدِيَهُمْ إِلَى الإِثْمِ.

For the scepter of wickedness won’t remain over the allotment of the upright; so that the upright won’t use their hands to do evil.

٤ 4 أَحْسِنْ يَارَبُّ إِلَى الأَخْيَارِ وَإِلَى ذَوِي الْقُلُوبِ الْمُسْتَقِيمَةِ.

Do good, Adonai, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.

٥ 5 أَمَّا الَّذِينَ يَحِيدُونَ إِلَى طُرُقٍ مُلْتَوِيَةٍ، فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ يَسُوقُهُمْ إِلَى الْهَلاَكِ مَعَ فَاعِلِي الإِثْمِ. لِيَكُنِ السَّلاَمُ لِشَعْبِ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Adonai will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel [God prevails].
