< أيُّوب 29 >
وَاسْتَطْرَدَ أَيُّوبُ فِي ضَرْبِ مَثَلِهِ: | ١ 1 |
And he repeated Job to take up discourse his and he said.
«يَالَيْتَنِي مَازِلْتُ كَمَا كُنْتُ فِي الشُّهُورِ الْغَابِرَةِ، فِي الأَيَّامِ الَّتِي حَفِظَنِي فِيهَا اللهُ، | ٢ 2 |
Who? will he give me like months of long ago like [the] days [when] God he watched over me.
كَانَ مِصْبَاحُهُ يُضِيءُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِي، فَأَسْلُكُ عَبْرَ الظُّلْمَةِ فِي نُورِهِ. | ٣ 3 |
When made shine he lamp his over head my to light his I walked darkness.
يَوْمَ كُنْتُ فِي رِيعَانِ قُوَّتِي وَرِضَى اللهِ مُخَيِّماً فَوْقَ بَيْتِي. | ٤ 4 |
Just as I was in [the] days of prime my in [the] intimacy of God on tent my.
وَا لْقَدِيرُ مَا بَرِحَ مَعِي، وَأَوْلاَدِي مَازَالُوا حَوْلِي. | ٥ 5 |
While still [the] Almighty [was] with me [were] around me lads my.
حِينَ كُنْتُ أَغْسِلُ خَطَوَاتِي بِاللَّبَنِ، وَالصَّخْرُ يَفِيضُ لِي أَنْهَاراً مِنَ الزَّيْتِ. | ٦ 6 |
When bathed steps my in curd and a rock it poured out beside me streams of oil.
حِينَ كُنْتُ أَخْرُجُ إِلَى بَوَّابَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَأَحْتَلُّ فِي السَّاحَةِ مَجْلِسِي، | ٧ 7 |
When went out I [the] gate on [the] town in the public square I prepared seat my.
فَيَرَانِي الشُّبَّانُ وَيَتَوَارَوْنَ، وَيَقِفُ الشُّيُوخُ احْتِرَاماً لِي. | ٨ 8 |
They saw me young men and they hid themselves and old [men] they rose they stood.
يَمْتَنِعُ الْعُظَمَاءُ عَنِ الْكَلاَمِ وَيَضَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَلَى أَفْوَاهِهِمْ. | ٩ 9 |
Chiefs they restrained words and a hand they put to mouth their.
يَتَلاَشَى صَوْتُ النُّبَلاَءِ، وَتَلْتَصِقُ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ بِأَحْنَاكِهِمْ. | ١٠ 10 |
[the] voice of Nobles they were hidden and tongue their to palate their it stuck.
إِذَا سَمِعَتْ لِيَ الأُذُنُ تُطَوِّبُنِي، وَإِذَا شَهِدَتْنِي الْعَيْنُ تُثْنِي عَلَيَّ، | ١١ 11 |
For an ear it heard and it called blessed me and an eye it saw and it bore witness to me.
لأَ نِّي أَنْقَذْتُ الْبَائِسَ الْمُسْتَغِيثَ، وَأَجَرْتُ الْيَتِيمَ طَالِبَ الْعَوْنِ، | ١٢ 12 |
That I rescued [the] afflicted [who] cried for help and [the] fatherless and [the one whom] not a helper [belonged] to him.
فَحَلَّتْ عَلَيَّ بَرَكَةُ الْمُشْرِفِ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ، وَجَعَلْتُ قَلْبَ الأَرْمَلَةِ يَتَهَلَّلُ فَرَحاً. | ١٣ 13 |
[the] blessing of [one] about to perish On me it came and [the] heart of a widow I made sing for joy.
ارْتَدَيْتُ الْبِرَّ فَكَسَانِي، وَكَجُبَّةٍ وَعِمَامَةٍ كَانَ عَدْلِي. | ١٤ 14 |
Righteousness I put on and it clothed me [was] like a robe and a turban justice my.
كُنْتُ عُيُوناً لِلأَعْمَى، وَأَقْدَاماً لِلأَعْرَجِ، | ١٥ 15 |
Eyes I was to the blind and [was] feet to the lame I.
وَكُنْتُ أَباً لِلْمِسْكِينِ، أَتَقَصَّى دَعْوَى مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ. | ١٦ 16 |
[was] a father I to the needy [people] and a case at law of [the one whom] not I knew I investigated it.
هَشَّمْتُ أَنْيَابَ الظَّالِمِ وَمِنْ بَيْنِ أَسْنَانِهِ نَزَعْتُ الْفَرِيسَةَ، | ١٧ 17 |
And I broke! [the] jaws of [the] unrighteous and from teeth his I threw [the] prey.
ثُمَّ حَدَّثْتُ نَفْسِي: إِنِّي سَأَمُوتُ فِي خَيْمَتِي وَتَتَكَاثَرُ أَيَّامِي كَحَبَّاتِ الرَّمْلِ. | ١٨ 18 |
And I said with nest my I will expire and like sand I will increase days.
سَتَمْتَدُّ أُصُولِي إِلَى الْمِيَاهِ، وَالطَّلُّ يَبِيتُ عَلَى أَغْصَانِي. | ١٩ 19 |
Root my [is] opened to water and dew it will remain overnight on branch[es] my.
يَتَجَدَّدُ مَجْدِي دَائِماً، وَقَوْسِي أَبَداً جَدِيدَةٌ فِي يَدِي. | ٢٠ 20 |
Honor my [is] new with me and bow my in hand my it will show newness.
يَسْتَمِعُ النَّاسُ لِي وَيَنْتَظِرُونَ، وَيَصْمُتُونَ مُنْصِتِينَ لِمَشُورَتِي. | ٢١ 21 |
To me people listened and they waited and they may be silent for counsel my.
بَعْدَ كَلاَمِي لاَ يُثَنُّونَ عَلَى أَقْوَالِي، وَحَدِيثِي يَقْطُرُ عَلَيْهِمْ كَالنَّدَى. | ٢٢ 22 |
After word my not they repeated and on them it dropped speech my.
يَتَرَقَّبُونَنِي كَالْغَيْثِ، وَيَفْتَحُونَ أَفْوَاهَهُمْ كَمَنْ يَنْهَلُ مِنْ مَطَرِ الرَّبِيعِ | ٢٣ 23 |
And they waited like the rain for me and mouth their they opened wide for spring rain.
إِنِ ابْتَسَمْتُ لَهُمْ لاَ يُصَدِّقُونَ، وَنُورُ وَجْهِي لَمْ يَطْرَحُوهُ عَنْهُمْ بَعِيداً. | ٢٤ 24 |
I laughed to them not they believed and [the] light of face my not they made fall!
أَخْتَارُ لَهُمْ طَرِيقَهُمْ وَأَتَصَدَّرُ مَجْلِسَهُمْ، وَأَكُونُ بَيْنَهُمْ كَمَلِكٍ بَيْنَ جُيُوشِهِ، وَكَا لْمُعَزِّي بَيْنَ النَّائِحِينَ. | ٢٥ 25 |
I chose way their so I may sit [as] chief so I may dwell like a king among the troop[s] just as mourners someone comforts.
