إشَعْياء 2

١ 1 الإِعْلاَنُ الَّذِي رَآهُ إِشَعْيَاءُ بْنُ آمُوصَ بِشَأْنِ يَهُوذَا وَأُورُشَلِيمَ:

The thing that Isaiah son of Amoz has seen concerning Judah and Jerusalem:

٢ 2 وَيَحْدُثُ فِي آخِرِ الأَيَّامِ، أَنَّ جَبَلَ هَيْكَلِ الرَّبِّ يُصْبِحُ أَسْمَى مِنْ كُلِّ الْجِبَالِ، وَيَعْلُو فَوْقَ كُلِّ التِّلاَلِ، فَتَتَوَافَدُ إِلَيْهِ جَمِيعُ الأُمَمِ.

And it has come to pass, In the latter end of the days, The mountain of YHWH’s house is established, Above the top of the mountains, And it has been lifted up above the heights, And all the nations have flowed to it.

٣ 3 وَتُقْبِلُ شُعُوبٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَتَقُولُ: تَعَالَوْا لِنَذْهَبْ إِلَى جَبَلِ الرَّبِّ، إِلَى بَيْتِ إِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ، فَيُعَلِّمَنَا طُرُقَهُ، وَنَسْلُكَ فِي سُبُلِهِ، لأَنَّ مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ تَخْرُجُ الشَّرِيعَةُ، وَمِنْ أُورُشَلِيمَ تُعْلَنُ كَلِمَةُ الرَّبِّ.

And many peoples have gone and said, “Come, and we go up to the mountain of YHWH, To the house of the God of Jacob, And He teaches us of His ways, And we walk in His paths, For a law goes forth from Zion, And a word of YHWH from Jerusalem.

٤ 4 فَيَقْضِي بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ وَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ الشُّعُوبِ الْكَثِيرَةِ، فَيَصْنَعُونَ سُيُوفَهُمْ مَحَارِيثَ وَرِمَاحَهُمْ مَنَاجِلَ، وَلاَ تَرْفَعُ أُمَّةٌ عَلَى أُمَّةٍ سَيْفاً، وَلاَ يَتَدَرَّبُونَ عَلَى الْحَرْبِ فِيمَا بَعْدُ.

And He has judged between the nations, And has given a decision to many peoples, And they have beat their swords to plowshares, And their spears to pruning-hooks, Nation does not lift up sword to nation, Nor do they learn anymore—war.

٥ 5 يَابَيْتَ يَعْقُوبَ، هَيَّا لِنَسْلُكْ فِي نُورِ الرَّبِّ.

O house of Jacob, come, And we walk in the light of YHWH.”

٦ 6 فَأَنْتَ يَارَبُّ قَدْ نَبَذْتَ شَعْبَكَ، بَيْتَ يَعْقُوبَ، فَكَثُرَ بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَرَّافُونَ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمُتَنَبِّئُونَ، كَالْفِلِسْطِينِيِّينَ، وَتَعَاهَدُوا مَعَ الْغُرَبَاءِ.

For You have left Your people, the house of Jacob. For they have been filled from the east, And [are] sorcerers like the Philistines, And strike hands with the children of strangers.

٧ 7 امْتَلأَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ فِضَّةً وَذَهَباً، وَكُنُوزُهُمْ لاَ نِهَايَةَ لَهَا، وَامْتَلأَتْ بِلاَدُهُمْ بِالْخَيْلِ، وَمَرْكَبَاتُهُمْ لاَ تُحْصَى.

And its land is full of silver and gold, And there is no end to its treasures, And its land is full of horses, And there is no end to its chariots,

٨ 8 امْتَلأَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ بِالأَصْنَامِ، وَعَبَدُوا صَنْعَةَ أَيْدِيهِمْ، وَسَجَدُوا لِعَمَلِ أَصَابِعِهِمْ.

And its land is full of idols, It bows itself to the work of its hands, To that which its fingers have made,

٩ 9 لِذَلِكَ يَنْحَطُّ الإِنْسَانُ، وَيَذِلُّ الْبَشَرُ، وَلاَ تَصْفَحُ عَنْهُمْ.

And the low bows down, and the high is humbled, And You do not accept them.

١٠ 10 اخْتَفِ فِي مَغَاوِرِ الْجِبَالِ، وَاخْتَبِئْ فِي حُفَرِ الأَرْضِ خَشْيَةً مِنْ هَيْبَةِ الرَّبِّ وَمِنْ جَلاَلِ مَجْدِهِ.

Enter into a rock, and be hidden in dust, Because of the fear of YHWH, And because of the honor of His excellence.

١١ 11 فَعُيُونُ الْبَشَرِ الْمُتَشَامِخَةُ تُخْفَضُ، وَكِبْرِيَاؤُهُمْ تَذِلُّ، وَيَتَعَظَّمُ الرَّبُّ وَحْدَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ.

The haughty eyes of man have been humbled, And the loftiness of men has been bowed down, And YHWH alone has been set on high in that day.

١٢ 12 فَإِنَّ لِلرَّبِّ الْقَدِيرِ يَوْماً فِيهِ يُوْضَعُ كُلُّ مُتَعَظِّمٍ وَمُتَكَبِّرٍ وَمُتَغَطْرِسٍ.

For a day [is] to YHWH of Hosts, For every proud and high one, And for every lifted up and low one,

١٣ 13 وَيَسْمُو عَلَى أَرْزِ لُبْنَانَ الْمُتَعَالِي الشَّامِخِ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ بَلُّوطِ بَاشَانَ،

And for all cedars of Lebanon, The high and the exalted ones, And for all oaks of Bashan,

١٤ 14 وَعَلَى كُلِّ جَبَلٍ أَشَمَّ، وَعَلَى التِّلاَلِ الْمُرْتَفِعَةِ،

And for all the high mountains, And for all the exalted heights,

١٥ 15 وَعَلَى كُلِّ بُرْجٍ عَالٍ، وَسُورٍ حَصِينٍ،

And for every high tower, And for every fortified wall,

١٦ 16 وَعَلَى كُلِّ سُفُنِ تَرْشِيشَ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ صَنْعَةٍ جَمِيلَةٍ،

And for all ships of Tarshish, And for all desirable pictures.

١٧ 17 فَيَعْتَرِي الْهَوَانُ غَطْرَسَةَ كُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ، وَيُذَلُّ تَشَامُخُ الْبَشَرِ، وَيَتَعَظَّمُ الرَّبُّ وَحْدَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ،

And the haughtiness of man has been bowed down, And the loftiness of men humbled, And YHWH alone has been set on high in that day.

١٨ 18 وَتُبَادُ الأَصْنَامُ كُلُّهَا،

And the idols—they completely pass away.

١٩ 19 وَيَلْجَأُ النَّاسُ إِلَى مَغَاوِرِ الْجِبَالِ، وَإِلَى حَفَائِرِ الأَرْضِ، مُتَوَارِينَ مِنْ هَيْبَةِ الرَّبِّ وَمِنْ مَجْدِ جَلاَلِهِ، عِنْدَمَا يَهِبُّ لِيُزَلْزِلَ الأَرْضَ.

And [men] have entered into caverns of rocks, And into caves of dust, Because of the fear of YHWH, And because of the honor of His excellence, In His rising to terrify the earth.

٢٠ 20 فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ يَطْرَحُ النَّاسُ لِلْجُرْذَانِ وَالْخَفَافِيشِ أَوْثَانَهُمُ الْفِضِّيَّةَ وَأَصْنَامَهُمُ الذَّهَبِيَّةَ الَّتِي صَنَعُوهَا لِيَعْبُدُوهَا،

In that day man casts his idols of silver, And his idols of gold, That they have made for him to worship, To moles, and to bats,

٢١ 21 وَيَدْخُلُونَ فِي كُهُوفِ الصَّخْرِ، وَفِي شُقُوقِ الْجُرُوفِ الْجَبَلِيَّةِ هَرَباً مِنْ هَيْبَةِ الرَّبِّ وَمِنْ مَجْدِ جَلاَلِهِ عِنْدَمَا يَهِبُّ لِيُزَلْزِلَ الأَرْضَ.

To enter into cavities of the rocks, And into clefts of the high places, Because of the fear of YHWH, And because of the honor of His excellence, In His rising to terrify the earth.

٢٢ 22 كُفُّوا عَنِ الاتِّكَالِ عَلَى الإِنْسَانِ الْمُعَرَّضِ لِلْمَوْتِ؛ فَأَيُّ قِيمَةٍ لَهُ؟

Cease yourselves from man, Whose breath [is] in his nostrils, For—in what is he esteemed?
