تكوين 24
| وَشَاخَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَتَقَدَّمَ بِهِ الْعُمْرُ. وَبَارَكَ الرَّبُّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ. | ١ 1 |
and Abraham be old to come (in): advanced in/on/with day: year and LORD to bless [obj] Abraham in/on/with all
| وَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِرَئِيسِ عَبِيدِهِ، الْمُتَوَلِّي جَمِيعَ شُؤُونِ بَيْتِهِ: «ضَعْ يَدَكَ تَحْتَ فَخْذِي، | ٢ 2 |
and to say Abraham to(wards) servant/slave his old house: household his [the] to rule in/on/with all which to/for him to set: put please hand: swear your underneath: swear thigh my
| فَأَسْتَحْلِفَكَ بِالرَّبِّ إِلَهِ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ أَنْ لاَ تَأْخُذَ لابْنِي زَوْجَةً مِنْ بَنَاتِ الْكَنْعَانِيِّينَ الَّذِيْنَ أَنَا مُقِيمٌ فِي وَسَطِهِمْ. | ٣ 3 |
and to swear you in/on/with LORD God [the] heaven and God [the] land: country/planet which not to take: take woman: wife to/for son: child my from daughter [the] Canaanite which I to dwell in/on/with entrails: among his
| بَلْ تَمْضِي إِلَى بَلَدِي وَإِلَى عَشِيرَتِي، وَتَأْخُذُ زَوْجَةً لابْنِي إِسْحقَ». | ٤ 4 |

| فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَبْدُ: «هَبْ أَنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ لاَ تَشَاءُ أَنْ تَتْبَعَنِي إِلَى هَذِهِ الأَرْضِ، فَهَلْ أَرْجِعُ بِابْنِكَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي ارْتَحَلْتَ عَنْهَا؟». | ٥ 5 |

| فَأَجَابَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ: «إِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَرْجِعَ بِابْنِي إِلَى هُنَاكَ، | ٦ 6 |

| فَالرَّبُّ إِلَهُ السَّمَاءِ الَّذِي أَخَذَنِي مِنْ بَيْتِ أَبِي وَمِنْ أَرْضِ قَوْمِي، وَخَاطَبَنِي وَأَقْسَمَ لِي قَائِلاً: لِذُرِّيَّتِكَ أَهَبُ هَذِهِ الأَرْضَ، هُوَ يُرْسِلُ مَلاَكَهُ أَمَامَكَ لِتَأْخُذَ زَوْجَةً لابْنِي مِنْ هُنَاكَ. | ٧ 7 |

| إِنْ أَبَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ أَنْ تَتْبَعَكَ، تَكُونُ آنَئِذٍ فِي حِلٍّ مِنْ حَلْفِي هَذَا، أَمَّا ابْنِي فَإِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَرْجِعَ بِهِ إِلَى هُنَاكَ». | ٨ 8 |

| فَوَضَعَ الْعَبْدُ يَدَهُ تَحْتَ فَخْذِ سَيِّدِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَحَلَفَ لَهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ. | ٩ 9 |

| وَاخْتَارَ الْعَبْدُ عَشَرَةَ جِمَالٍ وَحَمَّلَهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ خَيْرَاتِ مَوْلاَهُ الَّتِي فِي يَدِهِ، وَقَامَ وَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى أَرَامِ النَّهْرَيْنِ إِلَى مَدِينَةِ نَاحُورَ. | ١٠ 10 |

| وَهُنَاكَ أَنَاخَ الْجِمَالَ خَارِجَ الْمَدِينَةِ عِنْدَ بِئْرِ الْمَاءِ وَقْتَ الْمَسَاءِ، فِي مَوْعِدِ خُرُوجِ الْمُسْتَقِيَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ، | ١١ 11 |

| وَقَالَ: «أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهَ سَيِّدِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ تُيَسِّرَ أَمْرِي الْيَوْمَ وَتُسْدِيَ مَعْرُوفاً لِسَيِّدِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ. | ١٢ 12 |

| هَا أَنَا وَاقِفٌ عِنْدَ بِئْرِ الْمَاءِ حَيْثُ تُقْبِلُ بَنَاتُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ | ١٣ 13 |
behold I to stand upon spring [the] water and daughter human [the] city to come out: come to/for to draw water
| فَلْيَكُنْ أَنَّ الْفَتَاةَ الَّتِي أَقُولُ لَهَا: ضَعِي جَرَّتَكِ لأَشْرَبَ مِنْهَا، فَتُجِيبُ: اشْرَبْ وَأَنَا أَسْقِي جِمَالَكَ أَيْضاً، تَكُونُ هِيَ الَّتِي اخْتَرْتَهَا لِعَبْدِكَ إِسْحقَ. وَبِذَلِكَ أُدْرِكُ أَنَّكَ أَسْدَيْتَ مَعْرُوفاً لِسَيِّدِي». | ١٤ 14 |

| وَقَبْلَ أَنْ يُتِمَّ صَلاَتَهُ إِذَا بِهِ يُشَاهِدُ رِفْقَةَ ابْنَةَ بَتُوئِيلَ ابْنِ مِلْكَةَ زَوْجَةِ نَاحُورَ أَخِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُقْبِلَةً، وَجَرَّتُهَا عَلَى كَتِفِهَا. | ١٥ 15 |

| وَكَانَتِ الْفَتَاةُ رَائِعَةَ الْجَمَالِ، عَذْرَاءَ لَمْ يَمَسَّهَا رَجُلٌ. فَنَزَلَتْ إِلَى الْعَيْنِ وَمَلأَتْ جَرَّتَهَا ثُمَّ صَعِدَتْ، | ١٦ 16 |

| فَرَكَضَ الْعَبْدُ لِلِقَائِهَا وَقَالَ: «أَرْجُوكِ، اسْقِينِي قَلِيلاً مِنْ مَاءِ جَرَّتِكِ». | ١٧ 17 |

| فَأَجَابَتِ الْفَتَاةُ: «اشْرَبْ يَاسَيِّدِي». وَأَسْرَعَتْ وَأَنْزَلَتْ جَرَّتَهَا عَلَى يَدِهَا وَسَقَتْهُ. | ١٨ 18 |

| وَبَعْدَ أَنْ شَرِبَ قَالَتْ: «أَسْتَقِي لِجِمَالِكَ أَيْضاً حَتَّى تَرْتَوِيَ». | ١٩ 19 |

| وَمَضَتْ مُسْرِعَةً وَأَفْرَغَتْ جَرَّتَهَا فِي حَوْضِ الْمَاءِ، ثُمَّ رَكَضَتْ نَحْوَ الْبِئْرِ فَاسْتَقَتْ لِكُلِّ جِمَالِهِ. | ٢٠ 20 |

| وَظَلَّ الرَّجُلُ يَتَأَمَّلُهَا صَامِتاً لِيَعْلَمَ إِنْ كَانَ الرَّبُّ قَدْ وَفَّقَ مَسْعَاهُ أَمْ لاَ. | ٢١ 21 |

| وَعِنْدَمَا ارْتَوَتِ الْجِمَالُ تَنَاوَلَ الرَّجُلُ خِزَامَةً ذَهَبِيَّةً وَزْنُهَا نِصْفُ شَاقِلٍ (نَحْوَ سِتَّةِ جِرَامَاتٍ) وَسُوَارَيْنِ ذَهَبِيَّيْنِ وَزْنُهُمَا عَشَرَةُ شَواقِلَ (نَحْوَ مِئَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ جِرَاماً)، | ٢٢ 22 |

| وَسَأَلَهَا: «ابْنَةُ مَنْ أَنْتِ؟ أَخْبِرِينِي: هَلْ فِي بَيْتِ أَبِيكِ مَوْضِعٌ نَبِيتُ فِيهِ؟» | ٢٣ 23 |

| فَأَجَابَتْهُ: «أَنَا ابْنَةُ بَتُوئِيلَ ابْنِ مِلْكَةَ الَّذِي أَنْجَبَتْهُ لِنَاحُورَ، | ٢٤ 24 |
and to say to(wards) him daughter Bethuel I son: child Milcah which to beget to/for Nahor
| عِنْدَنَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ التِّبْنِ وَالْعَلَفِ، وَمَكَانٌ لِتَبِيتُوا فِيهِ». | ٢٥ 25 |

| فَأَطْرَقَ الرَّجُلُ بِرَأْسِهِ وَسَجَدَ لِلرَّبِّ مُصَلِّياً: | ٢٦ 26 |

| «تَبَارَكَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ سَيِّدِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَخَلَّ عَنْ لُطْفِهِ وَوَفَائِهِ لِسَيِّدِي. أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ هَدَانِي الرَّبُّ فِي الطَّرِيقِ إِلَى بَيْتِ إِخْوَةِ سَيِّدِي». | ٢٧ 27 |

| فَهُرِعَتِ الْفَتَاةُ وَأَخْبَرَتْ بَيْتَ أُمِّهَا بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ. | ٢٨ 28 |

| وَكَانَ لِرِفْقَةَ أَخٌ يُدْعَى لاَبَانَ، فَأَسْرَعَ نَحْوَ الرَّجُلِ عِنْدَ بِئْرِ الْمَاءِ، | ٢٩ 29 |

| إِذْ كَانَ قَدْ رَأَى الْخِزَامَةَ وَالسِّوَارَيْنِ عَلَى يَدَيْ أُخْتِهِ، وَسَمِعَ حَدِيثَهَا عَنِ الرَّجُلِ؛ فَوَجَدَهُ وَاقِفاً بِالْقُرْبِ مِنَ الْجِمَالِ عِنْدَ الْمَاءِ، | ٣٠ 30 |

| فَقَالَ: «ادْخُلْ أَيُّهَا الْمُبَارَكُ مِنَ الرَّبِّ، لِمَاذَا تَقِفُ خَارِجاً؟ لَقَدْ أَعْدَدْتُ الْبَيْتَ وَكَذَلِكَ مَكَاناً لِلْجِمَالِ». | ٣١ 31 |

| فَدَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى الْمَنْزِلِ، وَحَلَّ عَنِ الْجِمَالِ، وَقَدَّمَ لَهَا تِبْناً وَعَلَفاً، وَأَتَى لاَبَانُ بِمَاءٍ لِغَسْلِ رِجْلَيْهِ وَأَرْجُلِ مُرَافِقِيهِ. | ٣٢ 32 |

| ثُمَّ وَضَعَ الطَّعَامَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ لِيَأْكُلَ. لَكِنَّهُ قَالَ: «لَنْ آكُلَ حَتَّى أُخْبِرَكُمْ بِمَا يَجِبُ أَنْ أَقُولَهُ». فَقَالَ لَهُ: «تَكَلَّمْ». | ٣٣ 33 |

| فَقَالَ: «أَنَا عَبْدُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، | ٣٤ 34 |

| وَقَدْ أَغْدَقَ الرَّبُّ عَلَى مَوْلاَيَ بَرَكَاتٍ جَمَّةً فَصَارَ عَظِيماً، إِذْ أَنْعَمَ عَلَيْهِ بِغَنَمٍ وَبَقَرٍ وَفِضَّةٍ وَذَهَبٍ وَعَبِيدٍ وَإِمَاءٍ وَجِمَالٍ وَحَمِيرٍ. | ٣٥ 35 |

| وَأَنْجَبَتْ سَارَةُ امْرَأَةُ سَيِّدِي بَعْدَ أَنْ شَاخَتِ ابْناً لِسَيِّدِي أَوْرَثَهُ كُلَّ مَالَهُ | ٣٦ 36 |
and to beget Sarah woman: wife lord my son: child to/for lord my after old age her and to give: give to/for him [obj] all which to/for him
| وَقَدِ اسْتَحْلَفَنِي سَيِّدِي أَلاَّ آخُذَ زَوْجَةً لابْنِهِ مِنْ بَنَاتِ الْكَنْعَانِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ يَسْكُنُ أَرْضَهُمْ، | ٣٧ 37 |

| بَلْ أَذْهَبُ إِلَى بَيْتِ أَبِيهِ وَعَشِيرَتِهِ وَآخُذُ لابْنِهِ مِنْهُمْ زَوْجَةً. | ٣٨ 38 |

| فَقُلْتُ لِسَيِّدِي: قَدْ تَأْبَى الْفَتَاةُ أَنْ تَتْبَعَنِي إِلَى هَذِهِ الأَرْضِ. | ٣٩ 39 |

| فَأَجَابَنِي: إِنَّ الرَّبَّ الَّذِي سَلَكْتُ أَمَامَهُ، هُوَ يُرْسِلُ مَلاَكَهُ مَعَكَ وَيُوَفِّقُ مَسْعَاكَ فَتَأْخُذُ لابْنِي زَوْجَةً مِنْ عَشِيرَتِي وَمِنْ بَيْتِ أَبِي. | ٤٠ 40 |

| وَإِذَا قَدِمْتَ عَلَى قَوْمِي وَرَفَضُوا أَنْ يُعْطُوكَ إِيَّاهَا تَكُونُ آنَئِذٍ فِي حِلٍّ مِنْ حَلْفِي. | ٤١ 41 |

| فَأَقْبَلْتُ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى الْعَيْنِ وَقُلْتُ: أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ، إِلَهَ سَيِّدِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ. أَرْجُوكَ أَنْ تُوَفِّقَ مَسْعَايَ الَّذِي مِنْ أَجْلِهِ قُمْتُ بِهَذِهِ الرِّحْلَةِ. | ٤٢ 42 |

| هَا أَنَا وَاقِفٌ عِنْدَ بِئْرِ الْمَاءِ، فَلْيَكُنْ أَنَّ الْفَتَاةَ الَّتِي تَأْتِي لِتَسْتَقِيَ، وَالَّتِي أَطْلُبُ مِنْهَا أَنْ تَسْقِيَنِي بَعْضَ الْمَاءِ، | ٤٣ 43 |

| فَتَقُولُ لِي: اشْرَبْ أَنْتَ، وَأَنَا أَسْتَقِي لِجِمَالِكَ أَيْضاً، تَكُونُ هِيَ الْفَتَاةَ الَّتِي عَيَّنَهَا الرَّبُّ لابْنِ سَيِّدِي. | ٤٤ 44 |

| وَبَيْنَمَا كُنْتُ أُنَاجِي نَفْسِي بِهَذَا الْكَلاَمِ، إِذَا رِفْقَةُ قَادِمَةٌ، حَامِلَةً جَرَّةً عَلَى كَتِفِهَا، فَنَزَلَتْ إِلَى الْعَيْنِ وَاسْتَقَتْ، فَقُلْتُ لَهَا: أَرْجُوكِ أَنْ تَسْقِينِي | ٤٥ 45 |

| ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهَا: ابْنَةُ مَنْ أَنْتِ؟ فَأَجَابَتْ: ابْنَةُ بَتُوئِيلَ بْنِ نَاحُورَ الَّذِي أَنْجَبَتْهُ مِلْكَةُ لَهُ. فَوَضَعْتُ الْخِزَامَةَ فِي أَنْفِهَا وَالسِّوَارَيْنِ عَلَى يَدَيْهَا. | ٤٧ 47 |

| ثُمَّ خَرَرْتُ وَسَجَدْتُ وَبَارَكْتُ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَ مَوْلاَيَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي هَدَانِي فِي الطَّرِيقِ الْقَوِيمِ لِآخُذَ ابْنَةَ أَخِي سَيِّدِي لابْنِهِ. | ٤٨ 48 |

| وَالآنَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُبْدُونَ لُطْفاً وَأَمَانَةً لِسَيِّدِي فَأَجِيبُوا طَلَبِي وَإِلاَّ فَأَخْبِرُونِي لأَتَّجِهَ يَمِيناً أَوْ شِمَالاً». | ٤٩ 49 |

| فَأَجَابَ لاَبَانُ وَبَتُوئِيلُ: «قَدْ صَدَرَ هَذَا الأَمْرُ مِنَ الرَّبِّ، وَلاَ نَقْدِرُ أَنْ نَقُولَ لَكَ خَيْراً أَوْ شَرّاً. | ٥٠ 50 |

| هَا هِيَ رِفْقَةُ أَمَامَكَ، خُذْهَا وَامْضِ. لِتَكُنْ لابْنِ سَيِّدِكَ كَمَا قَالَ الرَّبُّ». | ٥١ 51 |

| فَمَا إِنْ سَمِعَ عَبْدُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَلاَمَهُمْ حَتَّى خَرَّ عَلَى الأَرْضِ سَاجِداً لِلرَّبِّ، | ٥٢ 52 |

| ثُمَّ أَخْرَجَ جَوَاهِرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَمِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَثِيَاباً وَأَعْطَاهَا لِرِفْقَةَ، وَأَهْدَى أَيْضاً أَخَاهَا وَأُمَّهَا تُحَفاً | ٥٣ 53 |
and to come out: send [the] servant/slave article/utensil silver: money and article/utensil gold and garment and to give: give to/for Rebekah and precious thing to give: give to/for brother: male-sibling her and to/for mother her
| وَأَكَلَ وَشَرِبَ هُوَ وَرِجَالُهُ، وَقَضَوْا لَيْلَتَهُمْ هُنَاكَ. وَعِنْدَمَا اسْتَيْقَظُوا فِي الصَّبَاحِ قَالَ: «أَطْلِقُونِي لأَعُودَ إِلَى سَيِّدِي». | ٥٤ 54 |

| فَأَجَابَ أَخُوهَا وَأُمُّهَا: «دَعِ الْفَتَاةَ تَمْكُثُ مَعْنَا عَشَرَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ نَحْوَهَا، ثُمَّ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ تَنْطَلِقُ». | ٥٥ 55 |
and to say brother: male-sibling her and mother her to dwell [the] maiden with us day or ten (after *LS) to go: went
| فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «لاَ تُعِيقُونِي فَالرَّبُّ وَفَّقَ مَسْعَايَ، أَطْلِقُونِي لأَمْضِيَ إِلَى سَيِّدِي». | ٥٦ 56 |

| فَقَالاَ: «نَدْعُو الْفَتَاةَ وَنَسْأَلُهَا رَأْيَهَا». | ٥٧ 57 |

| فَدَعَيَا رِفْقَةَ وَسَأَلاَهَا: «أَتَذْهَبِينَ مَعَ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ؟» فَأَجَابَتْ: «أَذْهَبُ». | ٥٨ 58 |

| فَصَرَفُوا رِفْقَةَ أُخْتَهُمْ وَمَعَهَا مُرَبِّيَتَهَا وَعَبْدَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَرِجَالَهُ، | ٥٩ 59 |

| وَبَارَكُوا رِفْقَةَ قَائِلِينَ لَهَا: «أَنْتِ أُخْتُنَا، فَلْتَتَكَاثَرِي لِتَصِيرِي أُلُوفَ أُلُوفٍ وَلْتَرِثْ ذُرِّيَّتُكِ مُدُنَ مُبْغِضِيهَا». | ٦٠ 60 |

| فَنَهَضَتْ رِفْقَةُ وَفَتَيَاتُهَا وَرَكِبْنَ الْجِمَالَ وَتَبِعْنَ الرَّجُلَ. فَانْطَلَقَ الْعَبْدُ بِرِفْقَةَ وَمَضَى فِي طَرِيقِهِ. | ٦١ 61 |

| وَكَانَ إِسْحقُ الْمُقِيمُ آنَئِذٍ فِي النَّقَبِ قَدْ عَادَ مِنْ طَرِيقِ بِئْرِ «لَحَيْ رُئِي». | ٦٢ 62 |

| وَسَأَلَتِ الْعَبْدَ: «مَنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ الْمَاشِي فِي الْحَقْلِ لِلِقَائِنَا؟» فَقَالَ الْعَبْدُ: «هُوَ سَيِّدِي». فَتَنَاوَلَتِ الْحِجَابَ وَتَغَطَّتْ. | ٦٥ 65 |

| ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ الْعَبْدُ إِسْحقَ بِكُلِّ الأُمُورِ الَّتِي قَامَ بِهَا. | ٦٦ 66 |

| فَأَدْخَلَ إِسْحقُ رِفْقَةَ إِلَى خَيْمَةِ أُمِّهِ سَارَةَ، وَتَزَوَّجَهَا وَأَحَبَّهَا وَتَعَزَّى بِهَا بَعْدَ مَوْتِ أُمِّهِ. | ٦٧ 67 |
