1 تسالونيكي 5

١ 1 أَمَّا مَسْأَلَةُ الأَزْمِنَةِ وَالأَوْقَاتِ الْمُحَدَّدَةِ، فَلَسْتُمْ فِي حَاجَةٍ لأَنْ يُكْتَبَ إِلَيْكُمْ فِيهَا.

But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.

٢ 2 لأَنَّكُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ يَقِيناً أَنَّ يَوْمَ الرَّبِّ سَيَأْتِي كَمَا يَأْتِي اللِّصُّ فِي اللَّيْلِ.

For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.

٣ 3 فَبَيْنَمَا النَّاسُ يَقُولُونَ: حَلَّ السَّلاَمُ وَالأَمْنُ! يَنْزِلُ بِهِمِ الْهَلاَكُ الْمُفَاجِئُ كَالْمَخَاضِ الَّذِي يَدْهَمُ الْحُبْلَى، فَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ أَبَداً أَنْ يُفْلِتُوا.

For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.

٤ 4 غَيْرَ أَنَّكُمْ أَنْتُمْ، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ، لَسْتُمْ فِي الظَّلاَمِ حَتَّى يُفَاجِئَكُمْ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ كَأَنَّهُ لِصٌّ.

But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.

٥ 5 فَأَنْتُمْ جَمِيعاً أَبْنَاءُ النُّورِ وَأَبْنَاءُ النَّهَارِ. إِنَّنَا لَسْنَا أَهْلَ اللَّيْلِ وَلاَ أَهْلَ الظَّلاَمِ.

You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,

٦ 6 إِذَنْ، لاَ نَنَمْ كَمَا يَنَامُ الآخَرُونَ، بَلْ لِنَظَلِّ سَاهِرِينَ وَصَاحِينَ،

so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.

٧ 7 فَإِنَّهُ فِي اللَّيْلِ يَنَامُ الَّذِينَ يَنَامُونَ، وَفِي اللَّيْلِ يَسْكَرُ الَّذِينَ يَسْكَرُونَ

For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.

٨ 8 وَأَمَّا نَحْنُ، أَهْلَ النَّهَارِ، فَلْنَظَلِّ صَاحِينَ، مُتَّخِذِينَ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ وَالْمَحَبَّةِ دِرْعاً لِصُدُورِنَا، وَمِنَ الرَّجَاءِ بِالْخَلاَصِ خُوذَةً لِرُؤُوسِنَا.

But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

٩ 9 فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَيَّنَنَا لاَ لِيَنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْغَضَبُ بَلْ لِنَنَالَ الْخَلاَصَ بِرَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ،

For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah,

١٠ 10 الَّذِي مَاتَ عَنَّا لِكَيْ نَحْيَا جَمِيعاً مَعَهُ، سَوَاءٌ كُنَّا فِي سَهَرِ الْحَيَاةِ أَمْ فِي رُقَادِ الْمَوْتِ!

who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

١١ 11 لِذَلِكَ عَزُّوا بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً وَشَدِّدُوا أَحَدُكُمُ الآخَرَ، كَمَا أَنْتُمْ فَاعِلُونَ.

Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.

١٢ 12 عَلَى أَنَّنَا نَرْجُو مِنْكُمْ، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ، أَنْ تُمَيِّزُوا أُولئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَجْتَهِدُونَ بَيْنَكُمْ، وَيَرْعُونَكُمْ كَمَا يُرِيدُ الرَّبُّ، وَيَعِظُونَكُمْ،

But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,

١٣ 13 وَأَنْ تُقَدِّرُوهُمْ تَقْدِيراً فَائِقاً فِي الْمَحَبَّةِ، مِنْ أَجْلِ عَمَلِهِمْ. عِيشُوا بِسَلاَمٍ بَعْضُكُمْ مَعَ بَعْضٍ.

and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

١٤ 14 إِلَّا أَنَّنَا نُنَاشِدُكُمْ، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ، أَنْ تَعِظُوا الْفَوْضَوِيِّينَ، وَتُشَدِّدُوا فَاقِدِي الْعَزْمِ، وَتُسَانِدُوا الضُّعَفَاءَ، وَتُعَامِلُوا الْجَمِيعَ بِطُولِ الْبَالِ.

We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.

١٥ 15 حَذَارِ أَنْ يُبَادِلَ أَحَدُكُمْ شَرَّ غَيْرِهِ بِشَرٍّ مِثْلِهِ. بَلِ اسْعَوْا دَائِماً إِلَى الْخَيْرِ فِي مُعَامَلَتِكُمْ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ وَلِلآخَرِينَ جَمِيعاً.

See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.

١٦ 16 افْرَحُوا عَلَى الدَّوَامِ؛

Always rejoice.

١٧ 17 صَلُّوا دُونَ انْقِطَاعٍ؛

Pray without ceasing.

١٨ 18 ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ فِي كُلِّ حَالٍ: فَهذِهِ هِيَ مَشِيئَةُ اللهِ لَكُمْ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ.

In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Messiah Yeshua toward you.

١٩ 19 لاَ تُخْمِدُوا الرُّوحَ،

Don’t quench the Spirit.

٢٠ 20 لاَ تَحْتَقِرُوا النُّبُوءَاتِ؛

Don’t despise prophecies.

٢١ 21 امْتَحِنُوا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَتَمَسَّكُوا بِالْحَسَنِ.

Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.

٢٢ 22 تَرَفَّعُوا عَنْ كُلِّ مَا فِيهِ شُبْهَةُ شَرٍّ.

Abstain from every form of evil.

٢٣ 23 وَإِلهُ السَّلاَمِ نَفْسُهُ يُقَدِّسُكُمْ إِلَى التَّمَامِ وَيَحْفَظُكُمْ سَالِمِينَ، رُوحاً وَنَفْساً وَجَسَداً، لِتَكُونُوا بِلاَ لَوْمٍ عِنْدَ عَوْدَةِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.

May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

٢٤ 24 فَإِنَّ اللهَ الَّذِي يَدْعُوكُمْ صَادِقٌ، وَسَوْفَ يُتِمُّ ذَلِكَ.

He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.

٢٥ 25 أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ، صَلُّوا لأَجْلِنَا.

Brothers, pray for us.

٢٦ 26 سَلِّمُوا عَلَى جَمِيعِ الإِخْوَةِ بِقُبْلَةٍ طَاهِرَةٍ!

Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.

٢٧ 27 أُنَاشِدُكُمْ بِالرَّبِّ أَنْ تُقْرَأَ هذِهِ الرِّسَالَةُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الإِخْوَةِ.

I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.

٢٨ 28 وَلْتَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ نِعْمَةُ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.

The grace of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah be with you. Amen.
