| وَاخْتَارَ دَاوُدُ وَرُؤَسَاءُ الْجَيْشِ بَعْضَ أَبْنَاءِ آسَافَ وَهَيْمَانَ وَيَدُوثُونَ، لِقِيَادَةِ خَدَمَاتِ القِيَادَةِ بِإِعْلاَنِ رِسَالَةِ اللهِ تَصْحَبُهُمْ مُوسِيقَى الْعِيدَانِ وَالرَّبَابِ وَالصُّنُوجِ. وَهَذِهِ أَسْمَاءُ الرِّجَالِ الَّذِينَ أَدَّوْا هَذِهِ الْخَدَمَاتِ وَوَاجِبَاتُهُمْ: | ١ 1 |
David and the leaders of the army selected some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service:
| مِنْ أَبنَاءِ آسَافَ: زَكُّورُ وَيُوسُفُ وَنَثَنْيَا وَأَشَرْئِيلَةُ، وَهُمْ يَخْدُمُونَ تَحْتَ إِشْرَافِ آسَافَ الْمُتَنَبِّئِ فِيِ حَضْرَةِ الْمَلِكِ. | ٢ 2 |
From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the king's supervision.
| مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ يَدُوثُونَ سِتَّةٌ: جَدَلْيَا وَصَرِي وَيِشْعِيَا وَشِمْعِي وَحَشَبْيَا وَمَتَّثْيَا وَهُمْ يَخْدُمونَ تَحْتَ إِشْرَافِ أَبِيهِمْ يَدُوثُونَ الْمُتَنَبِّئِ بِالْعَزْفِ عَلَى الْعُودِ لِلتَّعْبِيرِ عَنِ الْحَمْدِ وَالتَّسْبِيحِ لِلرَّبِّ. | ٣ 3 |
From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six in all, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who played the harp for giving thanks and praising Yahweh.
| مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ هَيْمَانَ: بُقِّيَّا، وَمَتَّنْيَا، وَعُزِّيئِيلُ، وَشَبُوئِيلُ، وَيَرِيمُوثُ وَحَنَنْيَا، وَحَنَانِي وَإِيلِيآثَةُ، وَجِدَّلْتِي، وَرُومَمْتِي عَزَرُ، وَيُشْبَقَاشَةُ، وَمَلُوثِي، وَهُوثِيرُ وَمَحْزِيُوثُ. | ٤ 4 |
From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shubael, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
| وَجَمِيعُ هَؤُلاَءِ هُمْ أَبْنَاءُ هَيْمَانَ نَبِيِّ الْمَلِكِ، وَقَدْ رَزَقَهُ الرَّبُّ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ ابْناً وَثَلاَثَ بَنَاتٍ، تَحْقِيقاً لِوَعْدِهِ، لِيَرْفَعَ مِنْ شَأْنِهِ. | ٥ 5 |
All these were the sons of Heman the king's prophet. God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters to lift up his horn.
| وكَانُوا جَمِيعُهُمْ يُجِيدُونَ الْعَزْفَ عَلَى الصُّنُوجِ وَالرَّبَابِ وَالْعِيدَانِ، بِقِيَادَةِ أَبِيهِمْ، لِلاشْتِرَاكِ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ بِالْهَيْكَلِ. وَكَانَ آسَافُ وَيَدُوثُونُ وَهَيْمَانُ يَتَلَقَّوْنَ تَعْلِيمَاتِهِمْ مِنَ الْمَلِكِ. | ٦ 6 |
All these were under the direction of their fathers. They were musicians in Yahweh's house, with cymbals and stringed instruments as they served in God's house. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the king's supervision.
| وَقَدْ بَلَغَ عَدَدُهُمْ مَعَ بَقِيَّةِ أَقْرِبَائِهِمْ مِئَتَيْنِ وَثَمَانِيَةً وَثَمَانِينَ لاَوِيّاً، وَجَمِيعُهُمْ بَارِعُونَ فِي الْعَزْفِ وَالتَّرْتِيلِ لِلرَّبِّ. | ٧ 7 |
They and their brothers who were skilled and trained to make music to Yahweh numbered 288.
| وَقَدْ حَدَّدُوا مَسْئُولِيَّاتِ عَمَلِهِمْ عَنْ طَرِيقِ الْقُرْعَةِ، بِغَضِّ النَّظَرِ عَنِ الْعُمْرِ أَوِ الْكَفَاءَةِ. | ٨ 8 |
They cast lots for their duties, all alike, the same for the young as well as the old, the teacher as well as the student.
| فَوَقَعَتِ الْقُرْعَةُ الأُولَى لِيُوسُفَ مِنْ عَائِلَةِ آسَافَ، وَالثَّانِيَةُ لِجَدَلْيَا وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَأَبْنَائِهِ، وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً، | ٩ 9 |
Now regarding Asaph's sons: The first lot fell to Joseph's family; the second fell to Gedaliah's family, twelve persons in number;
| وَالثَّالِثَةُ لِزَكُّورَ، وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٠ 10 |
the third fell to Zaccur, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالرَّابِعَةُ لِيَصْرِي وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١١ 11 |
the fourth fell to Izri, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالخَامِسَةُ لِنَثَنْيَا وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٢ 12 |
the fifth fell to Nethaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالسَّادِسَةُ لِبُقِّيَّا وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٣ 13 |
the sixth fell to Bukkiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالسَّابِعَةُ لِيَشَرِئِيلَةَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٤ 14 |
the seventh fell to Jesarelah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالثَّامِنَةُ لِيَشْعِيَا وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٥ 15 |
the eighth fell to Jeshaiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالتَّاسِعَةُ لِمَتَّنْيَا وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٦ 16 |
the ninth fell to Mattaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالعَاشِرَةُ لِشِمْعِي وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٧ 17 |
the tenth fell to Shimei, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالْحَادِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِعَزَرْئِيلَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٨ 18 |
the eleventh fell to Azarel, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالثَّانِيَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِحَشَبْيَا وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ١٩ 19 |
the twelfth fell to Hashabiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالثَّالِثَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِشُوبَائِيلَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٠ 20 |
the thirteenth fell to Shubael, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| والرَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِمَتَّثْيَا وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢١ 21 |
the fourteenth fell to Mattithiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالخَامِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِيَرِيمُوثَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٢ 22 |
the fifteenth fell to Jerimoth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالسَّادِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِحَنَنْيَا وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٣ 23 |
the sixteenth fell to Hananiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالسَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِيَشْبَقَاشَةَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٤ 24 |
the seventeenth fell to Joshbekashah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالثَّامِنَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِحَنَانِي وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٥ 25 |
the eighteenth fell to Hanani, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالتَّاسِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِمَلُّوثِي وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٦ 26 |
the nineteenth fell to Mallothi, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالعِشْرُونَ لإِيلِيَآثَةَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٧ 27 |
the twentieth fell to Eliathah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالحَادِيَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ لِهُوثِيرَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٨ 28 |
the twenty-first fell to Hothir, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالثَّانِيَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ لِجِدَّلْتِي وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٢٩ 29 |
the twenty-second fell to Giddalti, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالثَّالِثَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ لِمَحْزِيُوثَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٣٠ 30 |
the twenty-third fell to Mahazioth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;
| وَالرَّابِعَةُ وَالعِشْرُونَ لِرُومَمْتِي عَزَرَ وَأَبْنَائِهِ وَأَقْرِبَائِهِ وَهُمُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَخْصاً. | ٣١ 31 |
the twenty-fourth fell to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number.
