أَمْثَالُ سُلَيْمَانَ: اَلِٱبْنُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ يَسُرُّ أَبَاهُ، وَٱلِٱبْنُ ٱلْجَاهِلُ حُزْنُ أُمِّهِ. | ١ 1 |
proverb Solomon son: child wise to rejoice father and son: child fool grief mother his
كُنُوزُ ٱلشَّرِّ لَا تَنْفَعُ، أَمَّا ٱلْبِرُّ فَيُنَجِّي مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ. | ٢ 2 |
not to gain treasure wickedness and righteousness to rescue from death
اَلرَّبُّ لَا يُجِيعُ نَفْسَ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ، وَلَكِنَّهُ يَدْفَعُ هَوَى ٱلْأَشْرَارِ. | ٣ 3 |
not be hungry LORD soul: appetite righteous and desire wicked to thrust
اَلْعَامِلُ بِيَدٍ رَخْوَةٍ يَفْتَقِرُ، أَمَّا يَدُ ٱلْمُجْتَهِدِينَ فَتُغْنِي. | ٤ 4 |
be poor to make palm slackness and hand sharp to enrich
مَنْ يَجْمَعُ فِي ٱلصَّيْفِ فَهُوَ ٱبْنٌ عَاقِلٌ، وَمَنْ يَنَامُ فِي ٱلْحَصَادِ فَهُوَ ٱبْنٌ مُخْزٍ. | ٥ 5 |
to gather in/on/with summer son: child be prudent to sleep in/on/with harvest son: child be ashamed
بَرَكَاتٌ عَلَى رَأْسِ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ، أَمَّا فَمُ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ فَيَغْشَاهُ ظُلْمٌ. | ٦ 6 |
blessing to/for head righteous and lip wicked to cover violence
ذِكْرُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ لِلْبَرَكَةِ، وَٱسْمُ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ يَنْخَرُ. | ٧ 7 |
memorial righteous to/for blessing and name wicked to rot
حَكِيمُ ٱلْقَلْبِ يَقْبَلُ ٱلْوَصَايَا، وَغَبِيُّ ٱلشَّفَتَيْنِ يُصْرَعُ. | ٨ 8 |
wise heart to take: recieve commandment and fool(ish) lip: words to ruin
مَنْ يَسْلُكُ بِٱلِٱسْتِقَامَةِ يَسْلُكُ بِٱلْأَمَانِ، وَمَنْ يُعَوِّجُ طُرُقَهُ يُعَرَّفُ. | ٩ 9 |

مَنْ يَغْمِزُ بِٱلْعَيْنِ يُسَبِّبُ حُزْنًا، وَٱلْغَبِيُّ ٱلشَّفَتَيْنِ يُصْرَعُ. | ١٠ 10 |
to wink eye to give: give injury and fool(ish) lip: words to ruin
فَمُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ يَنْبُوعُ حَيَاةٍ، وَفَمُ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ يَغْشَاهُ ظُلْمٌ. | ١١ 11 |
fountain life lip righteous and lip wicked to cover violence
اَلْبُغْضَةُ تُهَيِّجُ خُصُومَاتٍ، وَٱلْمَحَبَّةُ تَسْتُرُ كُلَّ ٱلذُّنُوبِ. | ١٢ 12 |
hating to rouse strife and upon all transgression to cover love
فِي شَفَتَيِ ٱلْعَاقِلِ تُوجَدُ حِكْمَةٌ، وَٱلْعَصَا لِظَهْرِ ٱلنَّاقِصِ ٱلْفَهْمِ. | ١٣ 13 |
in/on/with lips to understand to find wisdom and tribe: staff to/for back lacking heart
اَلْحُكَمَاءُ يَذْخَرُونَ مَعْرِفَةً، أَمَّا فَمُ ٱلْغَبِيِّ فَهَلَاكٌ قَرِيبٌ. | ١٤ 14 |
wise to treasure knowledge and lip fool(ish) terror near
ثَرْوَةُ ٱلْغَنِيِّ مَدِينَتُهُ ٱلْحَصِينَةُ. هَلَاكُ ٱلْمَسَاكِينِ فَقْرُهُمْ. | ١٥ 15 |
substance rich town strength his terror poor poverty their
عَمَلُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ لِلْحَيَاةِ. رِبْحُ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ لِلْخَطِيَّةِ. | ١٦ 16 |
wages righteous to/for life produce wicked to/for sin
حَافِظُ ٱلتَّعْلِيمِ هُوَ فِي طَرِيقِ ٱلْحَيَاةِ، وَرَافِضُ ٱلتَّأْدِيبِ ضَالٌّ. | ١٧ 17 |
way to/for life to keep: careful discipline and to leave: neglect argument to go astray
مَنْ يُخْفِي ٱلْبُغْضَةَ فَشَفَتَاهُ كَاذِبَتَانِ، وَمُشِيعُ ٱلْمَذَمَّةِ هُوَ جَاهِلٌ. | ١٨ 18 |
to cover hating lips deception and to come out: speak slander he/she/it fool
كَثْرَةُ ٱلْكَلَامِ لَا تَخْلُو مِنْ مَعْصِيَةٍ، أَمَّا ٱلضَّابِطُ شَفَتَيْهِ فَعَاقِلٌ. | ١٩ 19 |

لِسَانُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ فِضَّةٌ مُخْتَارَةٌ. قَلْبُ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ كَشَيْءٍ زَهِيدٍ. | ٢٠ 20 |
silver: money to choose tongue righteous heart wicked like/as little
شَفَتَا ٱلصِّدِّيقِ تَهْدِيَانِ كَثِيرِينَ، أَمَّا ٱلْأَغْبِيَاءُ فَيَمُوتُونَ مِنْ نَقْصِ ٱلْفَهْمِ. | ٢١ 21 |
lips righteous to pasture many and fool(ish) in/on/with lacking heart to die
بَرَكَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ هِيَ تُغْنِي، وَلَا يَزِيدُ مَعَهَا تَعَبًا. | ٢٢ 22 |
blessing LORD he/she/it to enrich and not to add toil with her
فِعْلُ ٱلرَّذِيلَةِ عِنْدَ ٱلْجَاهِلِ كَٱلضِّحْكِ، أَمَّا ٱلْحِكْمَةُ فَلِذِي فَهْمٍ. | ٢٣ 23 |
like/as laughter to/for fool to make: do wickedness and wisdom to/for man understanding
خَوْفُ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ هُوَ يَأْتِيهِ، وَشَهْوَةُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ تُمْنَحُ. | ٢٤ 24 |
fear wicked he/she/it to come (in): come him and desire righteous to give: give
كَعُبُورِ ٱلزَّوْبَعَةِ فَلَا يَكُونُ ٱلشِّرِّيرُ، أَمَّا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ فَأَسَاسٌ مُؤَبَّدٌ. | ٢٥ 25 |
like/as to pass whirlwind and nothing wicked and righteous foundation forever: enduring
كَٱلْخَلِّ لِلْأَسْنَانِ، وَكَالدُّخَانِ لِلْعَيْنَيْنِ، كَذَلِكَ ٱلْكَسْلَانُ لِلَّذِينَ أَرْسَلُوهُ. | ٢٦ 26 |
like/as vinegar to/for tooth and like/as smoke to/for eye so [the] sluggish to/for to send: depart him
مَخَافَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ تَزِيدُ ٱلْأَيَّامَ، أَمَّا سِنُو ٱلْأَشْرَارِ فَتُقْصَرُ. | ٢٧ 27 |
fear LORD to add: again day and year wicked be short
مُنْتَظَرُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ مُفَرِّحٌ، أَمَّا رَجَاءُ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ فَيَبِيدُ. | ٢٨ 28 |
hope righteous joy and hope wicked to perish
حِصْنٌ لِلِٱسْتِقَامَةِ طَرِيقُ ٱلرَّبِّ، وَٱلْهَلَاكُ لِفَاعِلِي ٱلْإِثْمِ. | ٢٩ 29 |
security to/for integrity way: conduct LORD and terror to/for to work evil: wickedness
اَلصِّدِّيقُ لَنْ يُزَحْزَحَ أَبَدًا، وَٱلْأَشْرَارُ لَنْ يَسْكُنُوا ٱلْأَرْضَ. | ٣٠ 30 |
righteous to/for forever: any time not to shake and wicked not to dwell land: country/planet
فَمُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ يُنْبِتُ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ، أَمَّا لِسَانُ ٱلْأَكَاذِيبِ فَيُقْطَعُ. | ٣١ 31 |
lip righteous to bear fruit wisdom and tongue perversity to cut: cut
شَفَتَا ٱلصِّدِّيقِ تَعْرِفَانِ ٱلْمَرْضِيَّ، وَفَمُ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ أَكَاذِيبُ. | ٣٢ 32 |
