أَيُّوبَ 1
| كَانَ رَجُلٌ فِي أَرْضِ عَوْصَ ٱسْمُهُ أَيُّوبُ. وَكَانَ هَذَا ٱلرَّجُلُ كَامِلًا وَمُسْتَقِيمًا، يَتَّقِي ٱللهَ وَيَحِيدُ عَنِ ٱلشَّرِّ. | ١ 1 |
A man he was in [the] land of Uz [was] Job name his and he was - the man that blameless and upright and fearing God and turning aside from evil.
| وَوُلِدَ لَهُ سَبْعَةُ بَنِينَ وَثَلَاثُ بَنَاتٍ. | ٢ 2 |
And they were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
| وَكَانَتْ مَوَاشِيهِ سَبْعَةَ آلَافٍ مِنَ ٱلْغَنَمِ، وَثَلَاثَةَ آلَافِ جَمَلٍ، وَخَمْسَ مِئَةِ فَدَّانِ بَقَرٍ، وَخَمْسَ مِئَةِ أَتَانٍ، وَخَدَمُهُ كَثِيرِينَ جِدًّا. فَكَانَ هَذَا ٱلرَّجُلُ أَعْظَمَ كُلِّ بَنِي ٱلْمَشْرِقِ. | ٣ 3 |
And it was livestock his seven thousand sheep and three thousand camels and five hundred pair[s] of ox[en] and five hundred female donkeys and service much very and he was the man that great more than all [the] people of [the] east.
| وَكَانَ بَنُوهُ يَذْهَبُونَ وَيَعْمَلُونَ وَلِيمَةً فِي بَيْتِ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ فِي يَوْمِهِ، وَيُرْسِلُونَ وَيَسْتَدْعُونَ أَخَوَاتِهِمِ ٱلثَّلَاثَ لِيَأْكُلْنَ وَيَشْرَبْنَ مَعَهُمْ. | ٤ 4 |
And they went sons his and they made a feast [the] house of each one day his and they sent and they invited [the] three (sisters their *Qk) to eat and to drink with them.
| وَكَانَ لَمَّا دَارَتْ أَيَّامُ ٱلْوَلِيمَةِ، أَنَّ أَيُّوبَ أَرْسَلَ فَقَدَّسَهُمْ، وَبَكَّرَ فِي ٱلْغَدِ وَأَصْعَدَ مُحْرَقَاتٍ عَلَى عَدَدِهِمْ كُلِّهِمْ، لِأَنَّ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ: «رُبَّمَا أَخْطَأَ بَنِيَّ وَجَدَّفُوا عَلَى ٱللهِ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ». هَكَذَا كَانَ أَيُّوب يَفْعَلُ كُلَّ ٱلأَيَّامِ. | ٥ 5 |
And it was that they had gone round [the] days of the feast and he sent Job and he sanctified them and he rose early in the morning and he offered up burnt offerings [the] number of all of them for he said Job perhaps they have sinned children my and they have blessed God in heart their thus he did Job all the days.
| وَكَانَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ أَنَّهُ جَاءَ بَنُو ٱللهِ لِيَمْثُلُوا أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ، وَجَاءَ ٱلشَّيْطَانُ أَيْضًا فِي وَسْطِهِمْ. | ٦ 6 |
And it was the day and they came [the] sons of God to present themselves on Yahweh and he came also the adversary in midst of them.
| فَقَالَ ٱلرَّبُّ لِلشَّيْطَانِ: «مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتَ؟». فَأَجَابَ ٱلشَّيْطَانُ ٱلرَّبَّ وَقَالَ: «مِنَ ٱلْجَوَلَانِ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ، وَمِنَ ٱلتَّمَشِّي فِيهَا». | ٧ 7 |
And he said Yahweh to the adversary from where? are you coming and he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said from roving about on the earth and from going about on it.
| فَقَالَ ٱلرَّبُّ لِلشَّيْطَانِ: «هَلْ جَعَلْتَ قَلْبَكَ عَلَى عَبْدِي أَيُّوبَ؟ لِأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِثْلُهُ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ. رَجُلٌ كَامِلٌ وَمُسْتَقِيمٌ، يَتَّقِي ٱللهَ وَيَحِيدُ عَنِ ٱلشَّرِّ». | ٨ 8 |
And he said Yahweh to the adversary ¿ have you set heart your on servant my Job for there not [is] like him on the earth a man blameless and upright fearing God and [who] turns aside from evil.
| فَأَجَابَ ٱلشَّيْطَانُ ٱلرَّبَّ وَقَالَ: «هَلْ مَجَّانًا يَتَّقِي أَيُّوبُ ٱللهَ؟ | ٩ 9 |
And he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said ¿ in vain has he feared Job God.
| أَلَيْسَ أَنَّكَ سَيَّجْتَ حَوْلَهُ وَحَوْلَ بَيْتِهِ وَحَوْلَ كُلِّ مَا لَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ نَاحِيَةٍ؟ بَارَكْتَ أَعْمَالَ يَدَيْهِ فَٱنْتَشَرَتْ مَوَاشِيهِ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ. | ١٠ 10 |
¿ Not (you *QK) have you put a hedge behind him and behind house his and behind all that [belongs] to him from round about [the] work of hands his you have blessed and livestock his it has spread out in the land.
| وَلَكِنِ ٱبْسِطْ يَدَكَ ٱلْآنَ وَمَسَّ كُلَّ مَا لَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ فِي وَجْهِكَ يُجَدِّفُ عَلَيْكَ». | ١١ 11 |
And but stretch out please hand your and touch all that [belongs] to him if not on face your he will bless you.
| فَقَالَ ٱلرَّبُّ لِلشَّيْطَانِ: «هُوَذَا كُلُّ مَا لَهُ فِي يَدِكَ، وَإِنَّمَا إِلَيهِ لَا تَمُدَّ يَدَكَ». ثمَّ خَرَجَ ٱلشَّيْطَانُ مِنْ أَمَامِ وَجْهِ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ١٢ 12 |
And he said Yahweh to the adversary there! all that [belongs] to him [is] in hand your only against him may not you stretch out hand your and he went out the adversary from with [the] presence of Yahweh.
| وَكَانَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَأَبْنَاؤُهُ وَبَنَاتُهُ يَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ خَمْرًا فِي بَيْتِ أَخِيهِمِ ٱلْأَكْبَرِ، | ١٣ 13 |
And it was the day and sons his and daughters his [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
| أَنَّ رَسُولًا جَاءَ إِلَى أَيُّوبَ وَقَالَ: «ٱلْبَقَرُ كَانَتْ تَحْرُثُ، وَٱلْأُتُنُ تَرْعَى بِجَانِبِهَا، | ١٤ 14 |
And a messenger he came to Job and he said the ox[en] they were plowing and the female donkeys [were] grazing on hands their.
| فَسَقَطَ عَلَيْهَا ٱلسَّبَئِيُّونَ وَأَخَذُوهَا، وَضَرَبُوا ٱلْغِلْمَانَ بِحَدِّ ٱلسَّيْفِ، وَنَجَوْتُ أَنَا وَحْدِي لِأُخْبِرَكَ». | ١٥ 15 |
And it fell Sabean[s] and it took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
| وَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ إِذْ جَاءَ آخَرُ وَقَالَ: «نَارُ ٱللهِ سَقَطَتْ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ فَأَحْرَقَتِ ٱلْغَنَمَ وَٱلْغِلْمَانَ وَأَكَلَتْهُمْ، وَنَجَوْتُ أَنَا وَحْدِي لِأُخْبِرَكَ». | ١٦ 16 |
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] fire of God it fell from the heavens and it burned the sheep and the servants and it consumed them and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
| وَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ إِذْ جَاءَ آخَرُ وَقَالَ: «ٱلْكَلْدَانِيُّونَ عَيَّنُوا ثَلَاثَ فِرَقٍ، فَهَجَمُوا عَلَى ٱلْجِمَالِ وَأَخَذُوهَا، وَضَرَبُوا ٱلْغِلْمَانَ بِحَدِّ ٱلسَّيْفِ، وَنَجَوْتُ أَنَا وَحْدِي لِأُخْبِرَكَ». | ١٧ 17 |
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] Chaldeans they formed - three companies and they made a raid on the camels and they took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
| وَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ إِذْ جَاءَ آخَرُ وَقَالَ: «بَنُوكَ وَبَنَاتُكَ كَانُوا يَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ خَمْرًا فِي بَيْتِ أَخِيهِمِ ٱلْأَكْبَرِ، | ١٨ 18 |
Until this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said sons your and daughters your [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
| وَإِذَا رِيحٌ شَدِيدَةٌ جَاءَتْ مِنْ عَبْرِ ٱلْقَفْرِ وَصَدَمَتْ زَوَايَا ٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْأَرْبَعَ، فَسَقَطَ عَلَى ٱلْغِلْمَانِ فَمَاتُوا، وَنَجَوْتُ أَنَا وَحْدِي لِأُخْبِرَكَ». | ١٩ 19 |
And there! a wind great it came - from [the] other side of the wilderness and it touched [the] four [the] corners of the house and it fell on the youths and they died and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
| فَقَامَ أَيُّوبُ وَمَزَّقَ جُبَّتَهُ، وَجَزَّ شَعْرَ رَأْسِهِ، وَخَرَّ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَسَجَدَ، | ٢٠ 20 |
And he arose Job and he tore robe his and he shaved head his and he fell [the] earth towards and he bowed down.
| وَقَالَ: «عُرْيَانًا خَرَجْتُ مِنْ بَطْنِ أُمِّي، وَعُرْيَانًا أَعُودُ إِلَى هُنَاكَ. ٱلرَّبُّ أَعْطَى وَٱلرَّبُّ أَخَذَ، فَلْيَكُنِ ٱسْمُ ٱلرَّبِّ مُبَارَكًا». | ٢١ 21 |
And he said naked (I came out *Qk) from [the] womb of mother my and naked I will return there towards Yahweh he gave and Yahweh he has taken may it be [the] name of Yahweh blessed.
| فِي كُلِّ هَذَا لَمْ يُخْطِئْ أَيُّوبُ وَلَمْ يَنْسِبْ لِلهِ جَهَالَةً. | ٢٢ 22 |
In all this not he sinned Job and not he ascribe unseemliness to God.
