إِشَعْيَاءَ 2

١ 1 اَلْأُمُورُ ٱلَّتِي رَآهَا إِشَعْيَاءُ بْنُ آمُوصَ مِنْ جِهَةِ يَهُوذَا وَأُورُشَلِيمَ:

The things that Isaiah son of Amoz perceived in a vision, concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

٢ 2 وَيَكُونُ فِي آخِرِ ٱلْأَيَّامِ أَنَّ جَبَلَ بَيْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ يَكُونُ ثَابِتًا فِي رَأْسِ ٱلْجِبَالِ، وَيَرْتَفِعُ فَوْقَ ٱلتِّلَالِ، وَتَجْرِي إِلَيْهِ كُلُّ ٱلْأُمَمِ.

It will be in the last days that the mountain of Yahweh's house will be established as the highest of the mountains, and it will be raised up above the hills, and all the nations will flow to it.

٣ 3 وَتَسِيرُ شُعُوبٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، وَيَقُولُونَ: «هَلُمَّ نَصْعَدْ إِلَى جَبَلِ ٱلرَّبِّ، إِلَى بَيْتِ إِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ، فَيُعَلِّمَنَا مِنْ طُرُقِهِ وَنَسْلُكَ فِي سُبُلِهِ». لِأَنَّهُ مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ تَخْرُجُ ٱلشَّرِيعَةُ، وَمِنْ أُورُشَلِيمَ كَلِمَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ.

Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob, so he may teach us some of his ways, and we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion will go the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.

٤ 4 فَيَقْضِي بَيْنَ ٱلْأُمَمِ وَيُنْصِفُ لِشُعُوبٍ كَثِيرِينَ، فَيَطْبَعُونَ سُيُوفَهُمْ سِكَكًا وَرِمَاحَهُمْ مَنَاجِلَ. لَا تَرْفَعُ أُمَّةٌ عَلَى أُمَّةٍ سَيْفًا، وَلَا يَتَعَلَّمُونَ ٱلْحَرْبَ فِي مَا بَعْدُ.

He will judge between the nations and will render decisions for many peoples; they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any longer.

٥ 5 يَا بَيْتَ يَعْقُوبَ، هَلُمَّ فَنَسْلُكُ فِي نُورِ ٱلرَّبِّ.

House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.

٦ 6 فَإِنَّكَ رَفَضْتَ شَعْبَكَ بَيْتَ يَعْقُوبَ لِأَنَّهُمُ ٱمْتَلَأُوا مِنَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ، وَهُمْ عَائِفُونَ كَٱلْفِلِسْطِينِيِّينَ، وَيُصَافِحُونَ أَوْلَادَ ٱلْأَجَانِبِ.

For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with customs from the east and they practice divination like the Philistines, and they shake hands with sons of foreigners.

٧ 7 وَٱمْتَلَأَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ فِضَّةً وَذَهَبًا وَلَا نِهَايَةَ لِكُنُوزِهِمْ، وَٱمْتَلَأَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ خَيْلًا وَلَا نِهَايَةَ لِمَرْكَبَاتِهِمْ.

Their land is full of silver and gold, and is there no limit to their wealth; their land also is full of horses, nor is there limit to their chariots.

٨ 8 وَٱمْتَلَأَتْ أَرْضُهُمْ أَوْثَانًا. يَسْجُدُونَ لِعَمَلِ أَيْدِيهِمْ لِمَا صَنَعَتْهُ أَصَابِعُهُمْ.

Their land also is full of idols; they worship the craftsmanship of their own hands, things that their own fingers have made.

٩ 9 وَيَنْخَفِضُ ٱلْإِنْسَانُ، وَيَنْطَرِحُ ٱلرَّجُلُ، فَلَا تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ.

The people will be bowed down, and individuals will fall down; therefore do not raise them up.

١٠ 10 اُدْخُلْ إِلَى ٱلصَّخْرَةِ وَٱخْتَبِئْ فِي ٱلتُّرَابِ مِنْ أَمَامِ هَيْبَةِ ٱلرَّبِّ وَمِنْ بَهَاءِ عَظَمَتِهِ.

Go into the rocky places and hide in the ground from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty.

١١ 11 تُوضَعُ عَيْنَا تَشَامُخِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ، وَتُخْفَضُ رِفْعَةُ ٱلنَّاسِ، وَيَسْمُو ٱلرَّبُّ وَحْدَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ.

The lofty gaze of man will be brought low, and the pride of men will be brought down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.

١٢ 12 فَإِنَّ لِرَبِّ ٱلْجُنُودِ يَوْمًا عَلَى كُلِّ مُتَعَظِّمٍ وَعَالٍ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ مُرْتَفِعٍ فَيُوضَعُ،

For there will be a day of Yahweh of hosts against everyone who is proud and raised up, and against everyone who is arrogant—and he will be brought down—

١٣ 13 وَعَلَى كُلِّ أَرْزِ لُبْنَانَ ٱلْعَالِي ٱلْمُرْتَفِعِ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ بَلُّوطِ بَاشَانَ،

and against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan.

١٤ 14 وَعَلَى كُلِّ ٱلْجِبَالِ ٱلْعَالِيَةِ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ ٱلتِّلَالِ ٱلْمُرْتَفِعَةِ،

That day of Yahweh of hosts will be against all the high mountains, and against all the hills that are lifted up,

١٥ 15 وَعَلَى كُلِّ بُرْجٍ عَالٍ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ سُورٍ مَنِيعٍ،

and against every high tower, and against every impregnable wall,

١٦ 16 وَعَلَى كُلِّ سُفُنِ تَرْشِيشَ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ ٱلْأَعْلَامِ ٱلْبَهِجَةِ.

and against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all beautiful sailing vessels.

١٧ 17 فَيُخْفَضُ تَشَامُخُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ، وَتُوضَعُ رِفْعَةُ ٱلنَّاسِ، وَيَسْمُو ٱلرَّبُّ وَحْدَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ.

The pride of man will be brought low, and the haughtiness of men will fall; Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.

١٨ 18 وَتَزُولُ ٱلْأَوْثَانُ بِتَمَامِهَا.

The idols will completely pass away.

١٩ 19 وَيَدْخُلُونَ فِي مَغَايِرِ ٱلصُّخُورِ، وَفِي حَفَائِرِ ٱلتُّرَابِ مِنْ أَمَامِ هَيْبَةِ ٱلرَّبِّ، وَمِنْ بَهَاءِ عَظَمَتِهِ، عِنْدَ قِيَامِهِ لِيَرْعَبَ ٱلْأَرْضَ.

Men will go into the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.

٢٠ 20 فِي ذَلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ يَطْرَحُ ٱلْإِنْسَانُ أَوْثَانَهُ ٱلْفِضِّيَّةَ وَأَوْثَانَهُ ٱلذَّهَبِيَّةَ، ٱلَّتِي عَمِلُوهَا لَهُ لِلسُّجُودِ، لِلْجُرْذَانِ وَٱلْخَفَافِيشِ،

On that day people will throw away their idols of silver and of gold that they have made for themselves to worship—they will throw them away to the moles and bats.

٢١ 21 لِيَدْخُلَ فِي نُقَرِ ٱلصُّخُورِ وَفِي شُقُوقِ ٱلْمَعَاقِلِ، مِنْ أَمَامِ هَيْبَةِ ٱلرَّبِّ وَمِنْ بَهَاءِ عَظَمَتِهِ عِنْدَ قِيَامِهِ لِيَرْعَبَ ٱلْأَرْضَ.

The people will go into the crevices in the rocks and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.

٢٢ 22 كُفُّوا عَنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ ٱلَّذِي فِي أَنْفِهِ نَسَمَةٌ، لِأَنَّهُ مَاذَا يُحْسَبُ؟

Stop trusting in man, whose life-breath is in his nostrils, for what does he amount to?
