كُولُوسِي 2

١ 1 فَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ تَعْلَمُوا أَيُّ جِهَادٍ لِي لِأَجْلِكُمْ، وَلِأَجْلِ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي لَاوُدِكِيَّةَ، وَجَمِيعِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَرَوْا وَجْهِي فِي ٱلْجَسَدِ،

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have had for you, for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh.

٢ 2 لِكَيْ تَتَعَزَّى قُلُوبُهُمْ مُقْتَرِنَةً فِي ٱلْمَحَبَّةِ لِكُلِّ غِنَى يَقِينِ ٱلْفَهْمِ، لِمَعْرِفَةِ سِرِّ ٱللهِ ٱلْآبِ وَٱلْمَسِيحِ،

I work so that their hearts may be encouraged by being brought together in love and into all the riches of full assurance of understanding, into the knowledge of the secret truth of God, that is, Christ.

٣ 3 ٱلْمُذَّخَرِ فِيهِ جَمِيعُ كُنُوزِ ٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْعِلْمِ.

In him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

٤ 4 وَإِنَّمَا أَقُولُ هَذَا لِئَلَّا يَخْدَعَكُمْ أَحَدٌ بِكَلَامٍ مَلِقٍ.

I say this so that no one may trick you with persuasive speech.

٥ 5 فَإِنِّي وَإِنْ كُنْتُ غَائِبًا فِي ٱلْجَسَدِ لَكِنِّي مَعَكُمْ فِي ٱلرُّوحِ، فَرِحًا، وَنَاظِرًا تَرْتِيبَكُمْ وَمَتَانَةَ إِيمَانِكُمْ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ.

Although I am not with you in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit. I rejoice to see your good order and the strength of your faith in Christ.

٦ 6 فَكَمَا قَبِلْتُمُ ٱلْمَسِيحَ يَسُوعَ ٱلرَّبَّ ٱسْلُكُوا فِيهِ،

As you received Christ the Lord, walk in him.

٧ 7 مُتَأَصِّلِينَ وَمَبْنِيِّينَ فِيهِ، وَمُوَطَّدِينَ فِي ٱلْإِيمَانِ، كَمَا عُلِّمْتُمْ، مُتَفَاضِلِينَ فِيهِ بِٱلشُّكْرِ.

Be rooted in him, be built on him, be established in faith just as you were taught, and abound in thanksgiving.

٨ 8 اُنْظُرُوا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ أَحَدٌ يَسْبِيكُمْ بِٱلْفَلْسَفَةِ وَبِغُرُورٍ بَاطِلٍ، حَسَبَ تَقْلِيدِ ٱلنَّاسِ، حَسَبَ أَرْكَانِ ٱلْعَالَمِ، وَلَيْسَ حَسَبَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ.

See that no one captures you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, conforming to the elements of the world, and not conforming to Christ.

٩ 9 فَإِنَّهُ فِيهِ يَحِلُّ كُلُّ مِلْءِ ٱللَّاهُوتِ جَسَدِيًّا.

For in him all the fullness of God lives in bodily form.

١٠ 10 وَأَنْتُمْ مَمْلُوؤُونَ فِيهِ، ٱلَّذِي هُوَ رَأْسُ كُلِّ رِيَاسَةٍ وَسُلْطَانٍ.

You have been filled in him, who is the head over every power and authority.

١١ 11 وَبِهِ أَيْضًا خُتِنْتُمْ خِتَانًا غَيْرَ مَصْنُوعٍ بِيَدٍ، بِخَلْعِ جِسْمِ خَطَايَا ٱلْبَشَرِيَّةِ، بِخِتَانِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ.

In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not done by humans in the removal of the body of flesh, but in the circumcision of Christ.

١٢ 12 مَدْفُونِينَ مَعَهُ فِي ٱلْمَعْمُودِيَّةِ، ٱلَّتِي فِيهَا أُقِمْتُمْ أَيْضًا مَعَهُ بِإِيمَانِ عَمَلِ ٱللهِ، ٱلَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ.

You were buried with him in baptism, and in him you were raised up through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

١٣ 13 وَإِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَمْوَاتًا فِي ٱلْخَطَايَا وَغَلَفِ جَسَدِكُمْ، أَحْيَاكُمْ مَعَهُ، مُسَامِحًا لَكُمْ بِجَمِيعِ ٱلْخَطَايَا،

When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he made you alive together with him and forgave us all of our trespasses.

١٤ 14 إِذْ مَحَا ٱلصَّكَّ ٱلَّذِي عَلَيْنَا فِي ٱلْفَرَائِضِ، ٱلَّذِي كَانَ ضِدًّا لَنَا، وَقَدْ رَفَعَهُ مِنَ ٱلْوَسَطِ مُسَمِّرًا إِيَّاهُ بِٱلصَّلِيبِ،

He canceled the written record of debts that stood against us with its regulations. He took it away by nailing it to the cross.

١٥ 15 إِذْ جَرَّدَ ٱلرِّيَاسَاتِ وَٱلسَّلَاطِينَ أَشْهَرَهُمْ جِهَارًا، ظَافِرًا بِهِمْ فِيهِ.

He disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, by being victorious over them by the cross.

١٦ 16 فَلَا يَحْكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدٌ فِي أَكْلٍ أَوْ شُرْبٍ، أَوْ مِنْ جِهَةِ عِيدٍ أَوْ هِلَالٍ أَوْ سَبْتٍ،

So then, let no one judge you in eating or in drinking, or about a feast day or a new moon, or about Sabbath days.

١٧ 17 ٱلَّتِي هِيَ ظِلُّ ٱلْأُمُورِ ٱلْعَتِيدَةِ، وَأَمَّا ٱلْجَسَدُ فَلِلْمَسِيحِ.

These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance is Christ.

١٨ 18 لَا يُخَسِّرْكُمْ أَحَدٌ ٱلْجِعَالَةَ، رَاغِبًا فِي ٱلتَّوَاضُعِ وَعِبَادَةِ ٱلْمَلَائِكَةِ، مُتَدَاخِلًا فِي مَا لَمْ يَنْظُرْهُ، مُنْتَفِخًا بَاطِلًا مِنْ قِبَلِ ذِهْنِهِ ٱلْجَسَدِيِّ،

Let no one who wants humility and the worship of angels judge you out of your prize. Such a person enters into the things he has seen and becomes puffed up by his fleshly thinking.

١٩ 19 وَغَيْرَ مُتَمَسِّكٍ بِٱلرَّأْسِ ٱلَّذِي مِنْهُ كُلُّ ٱلْجَسَدِ بِمَفَاصِلَ وَرُبُطٍ، مُتَوَازِرًا وَمُقْتَرِنًا يَنْمُو نُمُوًّا مِنَ ٱللهِ.

He does not hold on to the head. It is from the head that the whole body throughout its joints and ligaments is supplied and held together; it grows with the growth given by God.

٢٠ 20 إِذًا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ قَدْ مُتُّمْ مَعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ عَنْ أَرْكَانِ ٱلْعَالَمِ، فَلِمَاذَا كَأَنَّكُمْ عَائِشُونَ فِي ٱلْعَالَمِ؟ تُفْرَضُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَرَائِضُ:

If you died together with Christ to the elements of the world, why do you live as obligated to the world:

٢١ 21 «لَا تَمَسَّ! وَلَا تَذُقْ! وَلَا تَجُسَّ!»

“Do not handle, nor taste, nor touch”?

٢٢ 22 ٱلَّتِي هِيَ جَمِيعُهَا لِلْفَنَاءِ فِي ٱلِٱسْتِعْمَالِ، حَسَبَ وَصَايَا وَتَعَالِيمِ ٱلنَّاسِ،

All these things will perish with use, according to the instructions and teachings of men.

٢٣ 23 ٱلَّتِي لَهَا حِكَايَةُ حِكْمَةٍ، بِعِبَادَةٍ نَافِلَةٍ، وَتَوَاضُعٍ، وَقَهْرِ ٱلْجَسَدِ، لَيْسَ بِقِيمَةٍ مَا مِنْ جِهَةِ إِشْبَاعِ ٱلْبَشَرِيَّةِ.

These rules have the wisdom of self-made religion and humility and severity of the body. But they have no value against the indulgence of the flesh.
