1 Tutun iyari Ayahudawe na se? iyagnari tutun nmari nbowe?
What is the advantage, then, of being a Jew? Or what is the good of circumcision?
2 imone di gwardan kokome kusari. inchizune, iwayini nin ghnu ipuno ani fiseri Kutelle.
Great in every way. First of all, because the Jews were entrusted with God’s utterances.
3 Andi among Ayahudawa di sa uyinu sa uyenu fa? Udirun nyinu mine mati uliru Kutelle yita imon filluah?
What follows then? Some, no doubt, showed a want of faith; but will their want of faith make God break faith? Heaven forbid!
4 Ko inyizi. Bara nani wang, na Kutelle yita unan kidegen, adi kogha di unan kinu. Naafo na idi nya niyerte, “ibayiru udi dert nan nya nagulang inlirufe, tutun uyisin gegeme uda in wusu wusu kidegen.”
God must prove true, though everyone prove a liar! As scripture says of God – “That you may be pronounced righteous in what you say, and gain your cause when people would judge you.”
5 Andi udirun dortu nimon ichine bit ndurso imon ichine Kutelle, tima woru ongyang? Na Kutelle dinin dirun sunimon ichine ba, ameh urika na adin puzunu tinanayi, amereh? Indi su uliru nafo unit usirene.
But what if our wrongdoing makes God’s righteousness all the clearer? Will God be wrong in inflicting punishment? (I can but speak as a person.) Heaven forbid!
6 Na uwasonani. Bara nane, inyizari Kutelle, mawusu kidegen inye?
Otherwise how can God judge the world?
7 Andi kidegen Kutelle nuzu nan nya kinuni nan nya zazunu meh, inyagharita idin wusuzue kidegen nafo unan kulapi?
But, if my falsehood redounds to the glory of God, by making his truthfulness more apparent, why am I like others, still condemned as a sinner?
8 Iyang ma wantinu iworo, nafo ubellubit kinu, tiworo, tutun among na yinin tiworo “Na ti su imon inan zan, bara imon ichine na dawa? Uwusu kidegen kitene mine chau.
Why should we not say – as some people slanderously assert that we do say – “Let us do evil that good may come”? The condemnation of such people is indeed just!
9 Iyaghari tutun? Tidinin nimon bellua? Ko imon irum. Bari arikin mal vuru Ayahudawa nin Nawurmi, nwo idin nan nya nalapi,
What follows, then? Are we Jews in any way superior to others? Not at all. Our indictment against both Jews and Greeks was that all alike were in subjection to sin.
10 Nafo na udin nan nya niyerte, na unan fiwu Kutelle dikuba, na warun dikuba.
As scripture says – “There is not even one who is righteous,
11 Na umondiku na adinin yinuba Na umonduku unan pizuru Kutelleba.
not one who understands, not one who is searching for God!
12 Vat ina kpilin, vat inghnu so hem. Na umon duku na adin su nimon gegemeba kayi! Nawasame dukuba.
They have all gone astray; they have one and all become depraved; there is no one who is doing good – no, not one!”
13 Asholushok mine pun fang nafo nisek. Tilem so imon nrusuzu kiti. Timun niyii di nakpah tinumine.
“Their throats are like opened graves; they deceive with their tongues.” “The venom of snakes lies behind their lips,”
14 Tinumine kulun nin nizogo nin gbagbai
“And their mouths are full of bitter curses.”
15 Abunu mine din tizu mas mas ngutuzunun nmii.
“Swift are their feet to shed blood.
16 Umusuzu nin niu di libau mine.
Distress and trouble dog their steps,
17 Na iyiru libau lisosin liman ba.
and the path of peace they do not know.”
18 Na ulanzu feu Kutelle di niyizi mineba.”
“The fear of God is not before their eyes.”
19 Nene tiyiru, vat imerika na ushara belle, nale na idin nan nya shara, inan tursu tinu vat, tutun vat uyi yita nin kwanu Kutelle.
Now we know that everything said in the Law is addressed to those who are under its authority, in order that every mouth may be closed, and to bring the whole world under God’s judgment.
20 Udinani bara na kidowo mase inchine libau katuwa niyizi sharaba. Bara nan nya sharawe uyinu kulapi da.
For no human being will be pronounced righteous before God as the result of obedience to Law; for it is Law that shows what sin is.
21 Nene vat nin dirun sharawe ngegeme Kutelle puno kidowo, ushara nin nanan kadura Kutelle inso iyizi inba,
But now, quite apart from Law, the divine righteousness stands revealed, and to it the Law and the prophets bear witness –
22 usonani, ngegeme katuwa Kutelle nan nya yinnu sa uyenu, nan nya Yisa Kirsti vat kiti nale na iyinna. Na maferu feru dukuba.
the divine righteousness which is bestowed, through faith in Jesus Christ, on all, without distinction, who believe in him.
23 Bara vat nati alapi inani na dari kitin ghantinu Kutelle,
For all have sinned, and all fall short of God’s glorious ideal,
24 ita chaut hennani kitenen nbollu Kutelle nan nya kurtunu ulẹ na udin nan nya Yisa Kirsti.
but, in his loving kindness, are being freely pronounced righteous through the deliverance found in Christ Jesus.
25 Bari urika na Kutellẹ natuu Yisa Kirsti unan bolu ari nan nya yinu sa uyenu, nan nya nmii mẹ: ana ni Kirsti ku bara apun nchaut mẹ tutun nin shawu nalapi alẹ nawa adi, bara ayi ashẹu me.
For God set him before the world, to be, by the shedding of his blood, a means of reconciliation through faith. And this God did to prove his righteousness, and because, in his forbearance, he had passed over the sins that people had previously committed;
26 Vat nani wa yita bara udursun ngegeme mẹ nan nya kokubẹ, anan dursọ litime chaut, akuru adurọ nwo amere din tizu anit chaut vat nalẹ na idinin yinnu sa uyenu nan nya Yisa.
as a proof, I repeat, at the present time, of his own righteousness, that he might be righteous in our eyes, and might pronounce righteous the person who takes their stand on faith in Jesus.
27 Unin fofigiri ndẹ? Ẹ kala unin. Kitene inyang? Kitene katwa? Nanare ba kitene inyinnu sa uyenu machas.
What, then, becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what sort of Law? A Law requiring obedience? No, a Law requiring faith.
28 Bari nani, ti malzina nwo unit din sesu nchaut bari uyinnu sa uyenu na katwa inshara dukuba.
For we conclude that a person is pronounced righteous on the ground of faith, quite apart from obedience to Law.
29 Sa Kutellẹ kun Nayahudawari machàs? Sa na amẹ Kutellẹ Nawurmerẹ. wang ba? Aẹ, nin Nawurmẹ wang.
Or can it be that God is the God only of the Jews? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles?
30 Andi Kutellẹ kurumari, ammati ubowe nan nya yinnu sa uyenu nchaut.
Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is only one God, and he will pronounce those who are circumcised righteous as the result of faith, and also those who are uncircumcised on their showing the same faith.
31 Iyanghri ti din bellẹ, ifilin usharawẹ bari uyinnu sa uyenwá? Na nanni wayita ba. Nin nani ti miin usharawe.
Do we, then, use this faith to abolish Law? Heaven forbid! No, we establish Law.
