1 Nene uyinnu sa uyenu, unere uyinnuari ule na unit dumun, idinin nayi akone ncaa nimomon, utabbas nimon ile na isa yene ba.
NOW faith is the realizing confidence of the things hoped for, and the demonstration of things unseen:
2 Bara nanere acif bite iwa yinin nighinu bara uyinnu mine sa uyenu.
for thereby the ancients obtained a testimony of approbation.
3 Kiti nyinnu sa uyenuari, tina yinin nworu iwasu makekewa kiti nbellu Kutelle, bara nworo imon ile na iwadi nyenju ba, iwa ke nanya nimon ile na idi sa uyenju. (aiōn g165)
By faith we understand that the worlds were exactly formed by the word of God, so that the visible objects were not made out of things which now appear. (aiōn g165)
4 Uwadi kitene nyinnu sa uyenuari Habila wanii Kutelle uzaka dedeii na nafo gwane Kayinu ba, uwasa bara nanere iwa rughe bara lidu lilau, kutelle wa rughe bara uzaka na awa nii, bara nanere Habila duu nliru, nworu ana mal ukuu.
By faith Abel offered unto God a sacrifice of more excellence than Cain, by which he received a testimony that he was a righteous man, God bearing witness upon his gifts: and by this, though dead, he still speaketh.
5 Nin nyinnu sa uyenuari wadi na iwa yaun Enok ku udu kitene na awa yenu ukuul ba, na iwa seghe ba, “Bara iwa woro awa poo Kutelle ayi kamin iwa yaun ghe udu kitene kani.
By faith Enoch was translated, so as not to see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he was recorded to have been acceptable to God.
6 Tiwasa tipoo Kutelle ayi ba, asa ti dira uyinnu sa uyenu, bara ulenge na aba dak kiti Kutelle gbarsari ayinin au aduku, nin nworu adin nizu uduk kiti nalenge na idin piziru ghe.
But without faith it is impossible to be acceptable; for he must believe, who cometh unto God, that he exists, and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
7 uwadi nin yinnu sa uyenuari, Kutelle was gbaru Nufu ku, mbellen nimon ile na Isa yene ba, nin durtu Kutelle akee uzirgi bara usu tucu kilari mye, bara usu nani amini wati uyu lawa anan ncaah nkuul, bara iwa da lawa anan fiu, Kutelle na udin dasu kiti nyinnu sa uyenu.
By faith Noah, being divinely warned respecting things not yet seen, filled with reverential awe, prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 Nin nyinnu sa uyenuari wati Ibrahim ku, kubi na Kutelle was yicilaghe, adofino anya udu kiti kanga na aba seru nafo ugadu, ame tinna anya sa uyiru kiti kaa na aba du.
By faith Abraham, called to go forth unto a place which he should in future obtain as an heritage, obeyed; and he went forth, not knowing whither he was going.
9 Nin nyinnu sa uyenuari wati ghe adi so nkan kipin nafo kumara, adi so kudanga nin Ishaku a Yakubu, adodong ngadu nalikwali arume.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the co-heirs of the same promise.
10 Nanere wadi bara ame wa yene ubun kiti nalenge na inughere wa kagbire ulenge na unan mbo likiye nin kewe di Kutelle.
For he expected a city having foundations, of which God is the planner and architect.
11 Nin nyinnu sauyenuari Ibrahim nin wani mye saraya, iwa seru likara nmaru kube na iwadi ikunno gbongbong, na iwa yene Kutelle ulle na iba yinnu ninghe, ulenge na ana su nani alikawali ngono.
By faith also that very Sarah, who was barren, received ability for the conception of seed, and past the usual time of life brought forth a child, because she accounted that he who promised it, would be true to his promise.
12 Bara nani tutun, unuzu nnit ulere ulenge na awa dak susut nkuu awa macu akara gbardang iwa so gbardang nafo iyini kitene kani, nafo licicin kurawa longo na iwasa iguro ba.
Wherefore even from one person, and he become dead in respect to these matters, there sprang a race, as the stars of heaven for multitude, and as the sand, which is on the shore of the sea, innumerable.
13 Inughe vat wa kuzu sa useru nalikwali, nin nani iwa iyinna yene nin nse nmahabi a idutu piit, iyinna inug amarari nanya inye.
All these died in faith, not having received the promises, but beholding them at a great distance, though believing and embracing them, and confessing that they were strangers and sojourners in the land.
14 Bara alenge na iwa bellin ile ione wa nutun fong nworu idin piziru nilari nati mine.
Now they who speak thus, shew evidently that they are in earnest search of their native country.
15 Kidegen andi idin kpilizu mbellen kipin kanga na ina nuzuku, iwa se kubin nkpillu.
And if indeed they had fixed their minds on that from whence they had gone forth, they might have had opportunity to go back to it again.
16 Bara iwadi ncisu kibinai kipin kicine kinnere kitene kani, bara nani na Kutelle wa lanza icing iyicilaghe Kutelle mine ba, tunda na ana kele kagbir bara inughe.
But now their longing desires are after a better country, that is, the heavenly one: wherefore God is not ashamed of them to be called their God: for he hath prepared a city for them.
17 Uwadi nanya nyinnu sa uyenu, nworo Ibrahim kubi na iwa dumunghe anii Ishaku ku, eh ame ulenge nin liburi liboo awa seru alikawali awa nii gono mye kirume cas.
By faith Abraham, when tried, offered up Isaac; and he who had received the promise, presented in sacrifice his only begotten son,
18 Kitene nghari iwa bellin “unuzu Ishaku iba yicilu likura fe?
unto whom it had been said, “That by Isaac shall there be a seed bearing thy name:”
reasoning that God was able to raise him up again, even from the dead; from whence also figuratively he had received him.
20 Nin nyinnu sa uyenu wati, Ishaku nin Yakubu ku nmari kitene nimon ncin dak.
By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau with regard to future things.
21 Nin nyinnu sa uyenu kubi na awa cinu ukuu atah vat nonon Yusufu nmari, Yusufu tumuno Kutelle ayedine litin nca mye.
By faith, dying Jacob blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and bowed down in adoration upon the top of his staff.
22 Nin nyinnu sa uyenu, Yusufu na imalin mye ndah, alira nbellen nsunu nono Isiraila umasar, a belle nani iyiru akuu mye nanghinu.
By faith Joseph, approaching his end, made mention of the children of Israel’s departure thence; and gave a charge respecting his bones.
23 Nin nyinnu sa uyenu, Musa kubi nmaru mye, annit was nyeshe ghe tipui titat, bara iwa yene ame gonari kicaut, na iwa lanza fiu nduka ngo ba.
By faith Moses, after he was born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw the child singularly beautiful; and they were not intimidated by the command of the king.
24 Nin nyinnu sa uyenu, nworu Musa kubi na awa kunoo, anari iyiciliaghe gono nshono ngo Firiauna.
By faith Moses, when he became a grown man, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;
25 Nin nani afere ukosu nniu nan nanit Kutelle nan nworu alanza nmang un kulapi kubi baat.
choosing rather to suffer afflictions with the people of God, than to have a temporary fruition of sin;
26 Awa yene ulanzu ncin ndortu Kutelle nafo use nimon nacara ri gbardang, ikatin imon nmasar, bara adin ncisu iyizi mye nse nduk unbun.
esteeming the reproach of Christ riches greater than the treasures of Egypt: for he looked earnestly to the recompence of reward.
27 Nin nyinnu sa uyenuari, Musa wa suun umasar, na aw ba, bara awa ti ayi akone nyenju nlenge na idi nyenjughe baa latiza fiu tinana nayi ngo ba, bara awa ti ayi akone nyenju nlenge na id nyenju ghe ba.
By faith he forsook Egypt, not intimidated by the wrath of the king: for he boldly persisted, as seeing the invisible Jehovah.
28 Nin nyinnu sa uyenu awa su ubukin nkallu nkul nin zaminu nmii, bara unan nmolusu nonon nfari wa dudo nonon nfari Isiraila.
By faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the first-born might not touch them.
29 Nanya nyinnu sa uyenuari ingu wa kafin kurawa kushine nafo kuteen ku kone, kubi na amasarawa wa woro isu nani, kurawe mila nani.
By faith they passed through the Red sea, as on dry ground; which the Egyptians attempting to do were swallowed up.
30 Nin nyinnu sa uyenuari azunu njeriko wa disu, kubi na iwa kiilin nanya nayiri kuzor.
By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after being circled round seven days.
31 Nin nyinnu sa uyenari Rahap ukilaki, awa nanna nan nalenge na iwa salin ndortu nliru, bara awa seru anan piziru nyinnu asu nani acine lau.
By faith Rahab the harlot perished not with those who were infidels, having received the spies in peace.
32 Ani iyaghari nbakuru nbellina? bara na kubi ba batini nwan bellin ubellen nan Gidiyon, Barak, Samsin, Jefita, Dauda, Samela, nan Kagisin na nan nliru nin nnu Kutelle.
And what more shall I say: for the time would fail me if I should make a narration concerning Gideon, and Barac, and Sampson, and Jephtha, and David, and Samuel, and the prophets:
33 Alenge kiti nyinnu mine sa uyennu iwa lii likara nilari tigo, isu katuwa kacine, isere alikwali itursu tinuu nazaki.
who by faith vanquished kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 Ibico likara nlah, ukaala litang kieo, ishino nanya tikonu, iso anan naggan kiti likum, ita a soja amara ico.
extinguished the force of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, they were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in battle, routed the armies of aliens.
35 Awani ba seru abbi nalenge na iba fiu nani, among iwati nani ineo, na iwa yinin ibunku nani ba, bara inan se ufitu nanya nkul ucine,
Women received by a resurrection their dead: but others were tortured, not accepting a release; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 Kagisine wa neo nin ba'a nan ngbizu, eh nin ninyeng nan licin.
and others had trials of mockeries and whippings, yea and farther of chains and imprisonment:
37 Iwa filisu nani nin natala, iwuco nani, asari aba, iwa kalizu nami ata nin kusangali, itunna ngalu nin nakpa nakam, nan niyin, iwa so hem, imono nani nanzang.
they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, they experienced the severest trials, they were slain by the edge of the sword: they went about wrapped in skins of sheep and goats, destitute of all things, pressed down with afflictions, suffering all kind of misery;
38 Bara inughe na uyee was caun nani ba, ngalu nanya kusho, nan nakup, a ataii, nan nagbongbon kuteen.
of whom the world was not worthy: they wandered up and down in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens, and caverns of the earth.
39 Vat nani Kutelle wa yinin nin nighinu, bara uyinu sa uyenu mine, na iwa seru imon ile na iwa su nani alikawale ba.
And these all though having obtained a testimony by faith, received not the promise:
40 Kutelle se nani imomon dedei, ile imon na ikatin kiti bete, nanya noru sa arike, na iwa yitu lau ba.
God having provided for us something better, that without us they should not attain to perfection.
