< 1 Timothawus 6 >

1 Vat nale na idi licin, na ini an cinilari mine uzazunu ule na ukulun, bara iwa zoguzo lisa Kutellẹ nin liru mẹ.
All who are in the position of slaves should regard their masters as deserving of the greatest respect, so that the Name of God, and our Teaching, may not be maligned.
2 Anung acin alenge na an Cinilari mine di nin yinnu sa uyenu, zazinan nani bara na inung nuanari, na idirtin nsu nani katuwa vat, bara na an Cinilari mine anan yinnu sa uyenuari, anan su minere. Dursuzo, ubellu ile imone.
Those who have Christian masters should not think less of them because they are their Brothers, but on the contrary they should serve them all the better, because those who are to benefit by their good work are dear to them as their fellow Christians.
3 Asa umon dursuzo imoin imon ugang, na ayina nin liru ucine bite ba, ulirun Cikilari bite Yisa Kristi, nin dursuzun liru ucine.
Any one who teaches otherwise, and refuses his assent to sound instruction — the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ — and to the teaching of religion,
4 Adin fo figiri na ayiru imon ba, unan rusuzu nanit nin suzu mayardang nin tigbulang tinanzang kika na ivira din nucuku, nin fiu kibinai, tizogo nin vuruzu unanzang,
is puffed up with conceit, not really knowing anything, but having a morbid craving for discussions and arguments. Such things only give rise to envy, quarrelling, recriminations, base suspicions,
5 a mayardang nanit asurne nin nibinai nibishe, anan diru kidegen, alenge na iyira libau Kutellẹ nafo lin sesu nikurfungha.
and incessant wrangling on the part of these corrupt-minded people who have lost all hold on the Truth, and who think of religion only as a source of gain.
6 Liru Kutellẹ nin kibinyi kirum useri udia.
And a great source of gain religion is, when it brings contentment with it!
7 Bara natina danin mon nyaya nyi ulele ba tutung na tima nyiu nin nimon ba.
For we brought nothing into the world, because we cannot even carry anything out of it.
8 Nonkon nari nibineyi bite nin nimon nowo ille na tidumon nin nimon nli.
So, with food and shelter, we will be content.
9 Alenge na idunin su ise imon na cara assa ideu nanya tikanci nin libarda Nshitang, udu nanya tilalang tidiya nin kuna nizin nlanzu, nkul, umusu inrika na assi uwultino anit udu nanya nkul.
Those who want to be rich fall into the snares of temptation, and become the prey of many foolish and harmful ambitions, which plunge people into Destruction and Ruin.
10 Usu nikurfung unin nere ucizunun katah kananzang vat. Among allenge na ina tinibineyi ku, ina lasin nnannya nyinnu sa uyenu, ina kulzu atimine nin na buri asirne saliga.
Love of money is a source of all kinds of evil; and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the Faith, and have been pierced to the heart by many a regret.
11 Fe unit Kutellẹ na uwa ti kibineyi fe kitene nile imone ba, pizira nlau kibineyi, udoruu Kutellẹ, uyinnu sa uyenu, usuu, nsheu kibineyi nin nonku liti.
But do you, Servant of God, avoid all this. Aim at righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
12 Su liyisin licine lin yinnu sa uyenu. Use ulai salingang ule na iwa yicilla fimu. Ukuru ubellu imong i cine nbung nan nizi iba gbardang. (aiōnios g166)
Run the great race of the Faith, and win the Immortal Life. It was for this that you received the Call, and, in the presence of many witnesses, made the great profession of Faith. (aiōnios g166)
13 Ntafi nbun Kutellẹ unan nimon nlai vat nin kirrsifi Yesu ulenge na awa belling kidegen nbun Buntus Bilatus.
I urge you, as in the sight of God, the source of all life, and of Christ Jesus who before Pontius Pilate made the great profession of Faith —
14 Bara nani dorto udukye gegeme, sa uvurzu, udu kube ko na cikilari bite Yesua madak.
I urge you to keep his Command free from stain or reproach, until the Appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Udak me mayitu kubi kucine nafo na unan nmare na cheu, ame unan ulikara chas ugo unan tigo nin cikilari unan tigo.
This will be brought about in his own time by the one ever-blessed Potentate, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords,
16 Ame unan salin nkul nin nle na assosin nnanya nkanan mo na umong wanya a do kupowe ba. Na unit wanyaa ayeneghe ba sa ayeneghe piit ba uzazinu nin likara saligeng di kitime. Uso nanin. (aiōnios g166)
who alone is possessed of immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or ever can see — to whom be ascribed honour and power for ever. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Belle anan seh nanya nyi ulele na iwa fo igiri ba, sa it nibinnei mine nimon nyi ille na ima malu. Nin nani icheu nibineyi mine kiti Kutellẹ. Ule na adin nizauri uuse kidegen vat tilanza imang. (aiōn g165)
Urge upon those who are wealthy in this life not to pride themselves, or fix their hopes, on so uncertain a thing as wealth, but on God, who gives us a wealth of enjoyment on every side. (aiōn g165)
18 Belle nanin isuu imon icine, iso nan se nanya katuwa kacine, iyit washalang, nin nibineyi nnizu.
Urge upon them to show kindness, to exhibit a wealth of good actions, to be open-handed and generous,
19 Nloli libower inug ma ciw atimine imon icine ule na idin cinu, ima se ullai ucine.
storing up for themselves what in the future will prove to be a good foundation, that they may gain the only true Life.
20 Timitawus, mino ille moa na iwa nifi, suna uliru kinu nin manyardang mananza man kinu na idin suu mun uyiru.
Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the profane prattle and contradictions of what some miscall ‘theology,’
21 Among anit din bellu alle adwade inani nazu nnanya nyinnu sa uyenu. Na ubolu Kutellẹ so nan ghinu vat.
for there are those who, while asserting their proficiency in it, have yet, as regards the Faith, gone altogether astray. God bless you all.
