1 Utasalonika 4

1 Ukutulne, linwana, ti din niminu akara nya Chikilari Yesu, nafo na ina seru uliru kiti bite, ukifo isu uchin nin pozu Kutelleh abiri nafo idin chinu, dirtinong isu gbardang.

Moreover, brethren, as you learnt from our lips the lives which you ought to live, and do live, so as to please God, we beg and exhort you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live them more and more truly.

2 Bara nyiru tiliru to na tina niminu nya Chilari Yesu.

For you know the commands which we laid upon you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.

3 Ulelere usu Kutelle nlau mine ichin akmulet ndinon,

For this is God's will--your purity of life, that you abstain from fornication;

4 bara vat mine iyinin usen wani nyan lau nin zazinu.

that each man among you shall know how to procure a wife who shall be his own in purity and honour;

5 Na nya su kibinai ndinon ba (nafo anan nyan nsirti alenge na iyiru Kutelleh ba).

that you be not overmastered by lustful cravings, like the Gentiles who have no knowledge of God;

6 Tutung umon wa patilin anin nanza gbane liburi nilemone ba, bara Chikilari unan tunju nile imonere vat, nafo natina min wunu minu atuf tinin kuru belle.

and that in this matter there be no encroaching on the rights of a brother Christian and no overreaching him. For the Lord is an avenger in all such cases, as we have already taught you and solemnly warned you.

7 Na Kutelle na yichila nari udu nyan dino gnari ba, udu nlau war.

God has not called us to an unclean life, but to one of purity.

8 Bara nene ulengena ari ilelena anit ari anari ba, Kutelleh ari ulenge na adin nizu Ufunu Ulau udu kitimine.

Therefore a defiant spirit in such a case provokes not man but God, who puts His Holy Spirit into your hearts.

9 Ubelen nsu linwana, na umon ba yertinu minu imon ba, bara anun atimine Kutelleh na dursuzo minu usu linwana.

But on the subject of love for the brotherhood it is unnecessary for me to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another;

10 Nyan na dadu, anun udu linwana alenge na idi vat Makaduniya, arik din niminu akara linwana, nworu is gbardng.

and indeed you do love all the brethren throughout Macedonia. And we exhort you to do so more and more,

11 Ti din niminu akara tutung itenizin nya kutik, lmin upiziru nimon yi, inin su kataah nin na chara mine, nafo na tiwa kpada minu

and to vie with one another in eagerness for peace, every one minding his own business and working with his hands, as we ordered you to do:

12 Sun nene bara inan china dert udu alenge naidi ndas kidegene, baratutung iwa dira imon.

so as to live worthy lives in relation to outsiders, and not be a burden to any one.

13 Na tidii suu itan uyinu nari ba, linuana mbelen na lenge na idinnmmoro, yenju iwa so nin na buri asirne nafo alengena na isali nin kidegen bun ba.

Now, concerning those who from time to time pass away, we would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, lest you should mourn as others do who have no hope.

14 Asa ti yinna Yesu wa ku afita tutung, nanere Kutelleh ba dak nin Yesu nin na lenge na ina dieu nya mmoro nin gne.

For if we believe that Jesus has died and risen again, we also believe that, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who shall have passed away.

15 Bara nene ti belin minuu nya ligbulang Chikilari, nworu arik ale na ti di a chine, na i chino nari udu kubi dak Chikilari, kidegen na tiba yarnu na ina dieu nyan nmoro bara.

For this we declare to you on the Lord's own authority--that we who are alive and continue on earth until the Coming of the Lord, shall certainly not forestall those who shall have previously passed away.

16 Kutelle litime ba tolu unuzu kitene kani. Nin teit, nin liwui ngo nnono Kutelle, nin kulantung Kutelle, alenge na ina iku nya Kristi ba fita nfunu.

For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven with a loud word of command, and with an archangel's voice and the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Arik alenge na tidi a chine, na ichino nari, ligozine iba fieu ghantunu nari nya na wut tizuro nin Cikilari nyan funu. Na nere tiba so ligowe nin Cikilari.

Afterwards we who are alive and are still on earth will be caught up in their company amid clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

18 Bara nene, tan linuana akara nin nagbulan alole.

And so we shall be with the Lord for ever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
