1 In dinin su iyinin, nuana nilime nin nishono, achifbite vat wa chinu kadas kuwut idi kata nan nya kurawa,
Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 vat mine iwa shitin Nani nmeng nan nya musa nin kuwut a kurawa,
and were all immersed into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 vat mine tutung wali imonli ilau irumwe,
and all ate the same spiritual food;
and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Messiah.
5 Among mine gwardan na Kutellẹ wa lanza nman mine kan ba, unare wati abimine yita bú nan nya kushoẹ.
However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
7 Nati waso anan chip ba, nafo na amon mine wadi-nafo Na iyerti di “Anit wa so ileu isono, imon fits nin nibinayin nozu nan nawani, izu avu.”
Don’t be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
8 Na tiwa nozo nin nawani buu ba, nafo na amon mine gwardan wa sunani, anit amoi akut aba nin Na tat nin ku liri lirume.
Let’s not commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
Let’s not test Messiah, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.
Don’t grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.
11 Nene Ile imone wase nani inan so arikeku imon yenju, inani wa yertu inin inan sonari imon wunnu natuff bara kitene bitere kubin nmalu iyii (aiōn g165)
Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come. (aiōn g165)
12 Bara nani ame ule na adin yenju ayisin Na asu sen bara awa diu.
Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall.
13 Na imonmon duku ilenge na idi inmaluzu madamu irika na anit yiruba; Kutelle unan kidegenari udu ligan: na ama sun minu ise umalun indiu ule na ukati likara mineba, vat nani nin nimon malun indiuwe ama punu nari Libau nnuzu bara tinan se uteru nibinayi mun.
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
14 Bara nani nuana insu kibinayi nin, con pit kitin chil.
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 Ndin liru nan ghinu nafo anan kpilizu bara inan wutu kimal nimon ile na in belle.
I speak as to wise men. Judge what I say.
16 Kakuk nmari na asa tita nmari ku, ikosuzoari nan nya nmii in Kristi ba? Likalan nfungul na tidin pucu, ukosuzoari nan nya kidowon Kristiba?
The cup of blessing which we bless, isn’t it a sharing of the blood of Messiah? The bread which we break, isn’t it a sharing of the body of Messiah?
17 Bara na likalan nfungul lirumari, arik alenge nati karin kidowo kirumari, vat bite din li likalan nfungul lirume ligowe.
Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
18 Yenen anutin Israila nburnu: na asa ileo ujuju ulauwe, na uso limununari nin nimon ile na isu napik alaunwe ba?
Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don’t those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?
19 Iyaghari ndin bellu nene?
What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.
21 Na iwasa isono kakkuk Ncikilari ini kuru ida sono kakkuk nagwergenu ba. Na uwasa uyita nin Cikilari bite kutebul me ukuru uyita kiti kutebul nagwergenu ba.
You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.
22 Sa timananzu Cikilare ayi asu liyarina? Akara bite katin ame?
Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
23 “Imon vat inseruari” na vat nimonari di in libunba.
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
24 Na umon wa pizurru nman litime ba. Nani, na kogha pizuru nmang ndon lisosin me.
Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbour’s good.
Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,
26 “Uyẹ nin nimon ilenge na idin nan nyẹ in Kutellẹari.''
for “the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.”
27 Asa unan salin yinnun nin Kutellẹ nyichilafi ndi li nimonli, fe ta kibinayi umadu, leu imon ilenge na iceu nbunfe sa utirunu.
But if one of those who don’t believe invites you to a meal, and you are inclined to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for the sake of conscience.
28 Vat nani, adi umon worofi, “imoli ilele inuzumun kiti ncillari nari uli ninin. Nane bara ulenge na abellin fiari, a bara ukpilluzu kibinayi tutun.
But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For “the earth is the Lord’s, with all its fullness.”
29 Ndin bellu ni kpiluzu kibinayi inlelere, a na kinfe ba. Bara iyari bati nfang kibinayi nighe umoghari kpilizai muna?
Conscience, I say, not your own, but the other’s conscience. For why is my liberty judged by another conscience?
30 Nwali imonli ilele nin liburi libo bara iyaghari iliri nanzan kitene nimon ilenge na nta nlira ku?
If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for something I give thanks for?
Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Give no occasion for stumbling, whether to Jews, to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;
33 Tan kayiri isu nafo na nna su kayir npo vat nanit ayi nan nya vat nimon, na nin pizuru nimoimon in litinin ba, bara anit gwardan nan se utuchu.
even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
