Sofonia 3

1 Mjerë ai që është rebel dhe i ndotur, mjerë qyteti i shtypjes!

Wo! thou citee, terrere to wraththe, and bouyt ayen a culuer.

2 Ai nuk ka dëgjuar zërin e tij, nuk ka pranuar të ndreqet, nuk ka patur besim tek Zoti, nuk i është afruar Perëndisë të vet.

It herde not the vois of the Lord, and resseyuede not techyng, ether chastisyng; it tristenyde not in the Lord, it neiyide not to her God.

3 Krerët e tij në mes të tij janë luanë që vrumbullojnë; gjyqtarët e tij janë ujqër të mbrëmjes, që nuk lënë asnjë kockë për ta brejtur për mëngjes.

Princes therof in myddil therof weren as liouns rorynge; iugis therof weren wolues, in the euentid thei leften not in to morewe.

4 Profetët e tij janë mburravecë, të pabesë; priftërinjtë e tij kanë përdhosur vendin e shenjtë, kanë dhunuar ligjin.

Profetis therof weren woode, vnfeithful men; prestis therof defouliden hooli thing, thei diden vniustli ayens the lawe.

5 Zoti është i drejtë në mes të tij, ai nuk kryen paudhësi. Çdo mëngjes ai sjell në dritë drejtësinë pa munguar asnjë herë, por i çorodituri nuk njeh turp.

The Lord iust in the myddil therof, schal not do wickidnesse; erli, erli he schal yyue his dom in liyt, and it schal not be hid; forsothe the wickid puple knew not confusioun.

6 “Kam shfarosur kombet; kalatë e tyre janë shembur; i kam shkretuar rrugët e tyre dhe askush nuk kalon nëpër to; qytetet e tyre janë shkatërruar dhe askush nuk banon në to.

Y loste folkis, and the corneris of hem ben distried; Y made the weies of hem desert, while there is not that schal passe. The citees of hem ben desolat, for a man is not left, nether ony dwellere.

7 Unë thoja: “Me siguri do të kesh frikë nga unë, do të pranosh të ndreqesh”, dhe kështu banesa e tij nuk do të shkatërrohej me gjithë ndëshkimet që i kam dhënë. Por ata u nxituan të prishen në të gjitha veprimet e tyre.

Y seide, Netheles thou schalt drede me, thou schalt resseyue techyng; and the dwellyng place therof schal not perische, for alle thingis in whiche Y visitide it; netheles ful eerli thei risynge han corrupt alle her thouytis.

8 Prandaj më prit”, thotë Zoti, “kur të ngrihem për të bërë plaçkë, sepse unë kam vendosur të mbledh kombet, të bashkoj mbretëritë, për të hedhur mbi ta indinjatën time, gjithë zjarrin e zemërimit tim;

Wherfor abide thou me, seith the Lord, in the dai of my rysyng ayen in to comynge. For my doom is, that Y gadere folkis, and Y schal gadere rewmes; and Y schal schede out on hem myn indignacioun, and al wraththe of my strong veniaunce; for in fier of my feruour al erthe schal be deuourid.

9 Sepse atëherë do t’u jap popujve një të folur të pastër, me qëllim që të gjithë të përmendin emrin e Zotit, për t’i shërbyer me një marrëveshje të përbashkët.

For thanne Y schal yelde to puplis a chosun lippe, that alle clepe inwardli in the name of the Lord, and serue to hym with o schuldre.

10 Që përtej lumenjve të Etiopisë, adhuruesit e mi, bija e të humburve të mi, do të më sjellin ofertat e tyre.

Ouer the floodis of Ethiopie, fro thens my bisecheris, the sones of my scaterid men, schulen brynge yifte to me.

11 Në atë ditë ti nuk do të kesh më turp për të gjitha veprimet e tua me të cilat ngrite krye kundër meje, sepse atëherë unë do të largoj nga mesi yt ata që gëzohen në madhështinë tënde, dhe ti nuk do të krenohesh në malin tim të shenjtë”.

In that day thou schalt not be confoundid on alle thi fyndyngis, in whiche thou trespassidist ayens me; for thanne Y schal take awei fro the myddil of thee grete spekeris of thi pride, and thou schalt no more put to, for to be enhaunsid in myn hooli hil.

12 “Do të bëj të mbetet midis teje një popull i përulur dhe i varfër, që do të ketë besim te emri i Zotit.

And Y schal leeue in the myddil of thee a pore puple and nedi; and thei schulen hope in the name of the Lord.

13 Mbeturina e Izraelit nuk do të kryejë paudhësi dhe nuk do të thotë më gënjeshtra, as do të gjendet në gojën e tyre një gjuhë gënjeshtare; sepse ata do ta kullotin kopenë e tyre, do të bien të flenë dhe askush nuk do t’i trembë”.

The relifs of Israel schulen not do wickidnesse, nether schulen speke leesyng, and a gileful tunge schal not be foundun in the mouth of hem; for thei schulen be fed, and schulen reste, and ther schal not be that schal make aferd.

14 Lësho britma gëzimi, o bijë e Sionit, lësho britma hareje, o Izrael! Gëzohu dhe ngazëllo me gjithë zemër, o bijë e Jeruzalemit!

These thingis seith the Lord, Douyter of Sion, herie thou hertli, synge thou, Israel; be thou glad, and make thou ioie withoutforth in al thin herte, thou douyter of Jerusalem.

15 Zoti i ka revokuar gjykimet e tij kundër teje, ka dëbuar armikun tënd. Mbreti i Izraelit, Zoti, ndodhet midis teje, nuk do të kesh më frikë nga asgjë.

The Lord hath take a wei thi dom, hath turned a wey thin enemyes; the kyng of Israel the Lord is in myddil of thee, thou schalt no more drede yuel.

16 Atë ditë do të thonë në Jeruzalem: “Mos ki frikë, o Sion, duart e tua mos u dobësofshin!

In that dai it schal be seid, Jerusalem, nyle thou drede; Sion, thin hondis be not clumsid.

17 Zoti, Perëndia yt, në mes teje është i fuqishmi që shpëton. Ai do të mbushet me gëzim për ty, në dashurinë e tij do qëndrojë në heshtje, do të gëzohet për ty me britma gëzimi.

Thi Lord God is strong in the myddil of thee, he schal saue; he schal make ioie on thee in gladnesse, he schal be stille in thi louyng, he schal make ioie withoutforth on thee in heriyng.

18 Unë do të mbledh ata që janë të pikëlluar për kuvendet solemne, që janë në mes tuaj për të cilët pesha për atë ishte bërë objekt përçmimi.

Y schal gadere the foolis, ether veyn men, that wenten awei fro the lawe, for thei weren of thee, that thou haue no more schenschipe on hem.

19 Ja, në atë kohë unë do të veproj kundër atyre që të shtypin; do të shpëtoj çalamanin dhe do të mbledh ata që janë dëbuar, dhe do t’i bëj të lavdishëm dhe të dëgjuar në të gjitha vendet ku kanë qenë me turp.

Lo! Y schal sle alle men that turmentiden thee in that tyme, and Y schal saue him that haltith, and Y schal gadere hir that was cast out; and Y schal putte hem in to heriyng, and in to name in ech lond of confusioun of hem, in that tyme in which Y schal brynge you,

20 Në atë kohë unë do t’ju kthej, po, në atë kohë do t’ju mbledh; sepse do t’ju bëj të famshëm dhe të lavdishëm midis tërë popujve të tokës, kur, para syve tuaj, do t’i bëj të kthehen ata që janë në robëri”, thotë Zoti.

and in the tyme in which Y schal gadre you. For Y schal yyue you in to name, and in to heriyng to alle puplis of erthe, whanne Y schal conuerte youre caitifte bifore youre iyen, seith the Lord.
