1 Dhe erdhi një nga të shtatë engjëjt që kishin të shtatë kupat, dhe foli me mua dhe më tha: “Eja, do të të tregoj gjyqin e kurvës së madhe që është ulur në ujëra të shumta,
Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls came and spoke to me. ‘Come here,’ he said, ‘and I will show you the sentence passed on that Great Harlot who is seated at the meeting of many waters,
2 më të cilën u kurvëruan mbretërit e dheut, dhe banorët e dheut u dehën me verën e kurvërisë së saj”.
and with whom all the kings of the earth have had licentious intercourse; while all who live on the earth have been make drunk by the wine of her licentiousness.’

And he bore me away in a trance to a lonely place, and I saw a woman seated on a scarlet Beast, which was covered with blasphemous names; it had seven heads and ten horns.
4 Edhe gruaja ishte veshur me purpur dhe me të kuq të ndezur, e stolisur me ar, gurë të çmuar dhe me margaritarë; kishte në dorë një kupë ari plot me neveritë dhe ndyrësitë e kurvërimit të saj.
The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold ornaments, precious stones, and pearls. In her hand she held a gold cup, full of idolatrous abominations, and the unclean fruits of her licentiousness;
5 Dhe mbi ballin e saj ishte shkruar një emër: “Misteri, Babilona e madhe, nëna e lavirave dhe e neverive të dheut”.
while on her forehead there was written this mystic name – ‘BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF ALL IDOLATROUS ABOMINATIONS ON EARTH.’
6 Dhe e pashë gruan duke u dehur nga gjaku i shenjtorëve dhe nga gjaku i martirëve të Jezusit. Dhe, kur e pashë, u çudita me çudi të madhe.
And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of Christ’s people and with the blood of the martyrs for Jesus. When I saw her, I was amazed beyond measure;
7 Dhe engjëlli më tha: “Përse çuditesh? Unë do të të tregoj misterin e gruas dhe të bishës që e mban atë, e cila ka shtatë krerë dhe dhjetë brirë.
but the angel said to me – ‘Why were you amazed? I will tell you the mystic meaning of the vision of this woman, and of the Beast, with the seven heads and ten horns, that carries her.
8 Bisha, që pe, ishte, edhe nuk është, dhe do të ngjitet nga humnera dhe do të vejë në përhumbje; dhe banorët e dheut, emrat e të cilëve nuk janë shkruar në librin e jetës që nga krijimi i botës, do të çuditen kur të shohin bishën që ishte, dhe nuk është, ndonëse është. (Abyssos g12)
The Beast that you saw was, but is not, and is about to rise out of the bottomless pit, and is on its way to destruction. Those who are living on earth will be amazed – those whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world – when they see that the Beast was, but is not, and yet will come.’ (Abyssos g12)
9 Këtu është mendja që ka dituri: të shtatë krerët janë shtatë male, ku ulet gruaja,
(Here there is need for the discerning mind.) The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated.
10 dhe mbretër janë shtatë; pesë kanë rënë, një është dhe tjetri nuk ka ardhur ende; dhe, kur të vijë, pak kohë do të mbetet.
They are also seven kings; of whom five have fallen and one remains, while one is not yet come. When he comes, he must stay for a little while.
11 Dhe bisha që ishte, dhe nuk është më, është edhe ajo i teti mbret, dhe është nga të shtatët dhe shkon në përhumbje.
So must the Beast that was, but is not. He counts as an eighth king, although he is one of the seven, and is on his way to destruction.
12 Të dhjetë brirët, që pe, janë dhjetë mbretër, të cilët nuk kanë marrë ende mbretërinë, por do të marrin pushtet si mbretër, një orë, bashkë me bishën.
The ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received their kingdoms, but for an hour they receive the authority of kings, together with the Beast.
13 Këta kanë një qëllim, dhe do t’ia japin fuqinë dhe pushtetin e tyre bishës.
These kings are of one mind in surrendering their power and authority to the Beast.
14 Ata do të luftojnë kundër Qengjit dhe Qengji do t’i mundë, sepse ai është Zot i zotërve dhe Mbret i mbretërve; dhe ata që janë me të janë të thirrur, të zgjedhur dhe besnikë”.
They will fight with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings; so, too, will those with him who have received the call and are chosen and faithful.
15 Pastaj më tha: “Ujërat që ke parë, ku ulet lavirja, janë popuj dhe turma, dhe kombe, dhe gjuhë.
And the angel said to me – ‘The waters that you saw, where the Harlot is seated, are throngs of people and men of all nations and languages.
16 Dhe të dhjetë brirët që ke parë mbi bishën, këta do të urrejnë laviren, do ta bëjnë të shkretë dhe lakuriq, dhe do të hanë mishrat e saj dhe do ta djegin në zjarr.
The ten horns that you saw, and the Beast – they will hate the Harlot, and cause her to become deserted and strip her bare; they will eat her flesh and utterly consume her with fire.
17 Sepse Perëndia u dha në zemër atyre të kryejnë mendjen e tij, të bëhen në një mendje, edhe t’i japin bishës mbretërinë e tyre, gjersa të plotësohen fjalët e Perëndisë.
For God has put it into their minds to carry out his purpose, in carrying out their common purpose and surrendering their kingdoms to the Beast, until God’s decrees will be executed.
18 Dhe gruaja që pe është qyteti i madh, që mbretëron mbi mbretëritë e dheut”.
As for the woman whom you saw, she is the great city that holds sway over all the kings of the earth.’
