Psalmet 9
1 Unë do të të kremtoj, o Zot, me gjithë zemër, do të tregoj tërë mrekullitë e tua.
Yahweh, I will praise you with all of my inner being. I will tell [others] about all the wonderful things that you have done.
2 Unë do të gëzohem dhe do të kënaqem me ty; do t’i këndoj lëvdime në emrin tënd, o Shumë i Larti.
I will sing to celebrate what you [MTY], who are much greater than all other gods, [have done].
3 Sepse armiqtë e mi tërhiqen, bien dhe vdesin para teje.
When my enemies realize [that you are very powerful], they stumble, and then they are killed.
4 Ti në fakt ke përkrahur ndershmërinë time dhe çështjen time; je ulur mbi fronin si një gjyqtar i drejtë.
You sat on your throne to judge people, and you have judged fairly/justly concerning me.
5 Ke qortuar kombet, ke shkatërruar të pabesin, ke fshirë emrat e tyre për gjithnjë.
You rebuked the [people of other] nations and you have gotten rid of the wicked people; you have erased their names forever.
6 Armiku është zhdukur, i kapur nga një pikëllim i përjetshëm! Dhe qyteteve që ti ke shkatërruar i është zhdukur edhe kujtimi.
Our enemies have disappeared; you destroyed their cities, and people do not even remember them any more.
7 Por Zoti mbetet përjetë; ai ka vendosur fronin e tij për të gjykuar.
But Yahweh rules forever. He judges [people while he sits] on his throne to judge people,
8 Ai do ta gjykojë botën me drejtësi, do t’i gjykojë popujt me paanësi.
and he will judge [all the people in] [SYN] the world justly; he will judge the people [of all nations] fairly [DOU].
9 Zoti do të jetë strehim i papushtueshëm për të shtypurin, një strehim i papushtueshëm në kohë ngushtice.
Yahweh will be a refuge for those who are oppressed; [yes, he will be like] a shelter for them when they have trouble.
10 Dhe ata që e njohin emrin tënd do të kenë besim te ti, sepse ti, o Zot, nuk i braktis ata që të kërkojnë.
Those who know Yahweh [MTY] trust in him; he never abandons those who come to him ([for help/to worship him]).
11 Këndojini lavde Zotit që banon në Sion; u njoftoni popujve veprat e tij.
Yahweh rules from Zion [Hill]; praise him while you sing to him. Tell [the people of all] the nations the [marvelous] things that he has done.
12 Sepse ai që kërkon arësyen e gjakut i mban mënd ata; ai nuk e harron britmën e të pikëlluarve.
He does not forget [to punish] those who have murdered others; and he will not ignore people who are crying because they are suffering.
13 Ki mëshirë për mua, o Zot, ti që më ke rilartuar nga portat e vdekjes, shiko pikëllimin që më shkaktojnë ata që më urrejnë,
Yahweh, be merciful to me! Look at the ways that my enemies have injured me. Do not allow me to die [because of these injuries].
14 me qëllim që unë të kem mundësi të tregoj të gjitha lavdet e tua dhe në portat e bijës së Sionit të mund të kremtoj për çlirimin tënd.
I want to live in order that I can praise you at the gates of Jerusalem [MTY] and to rejoice because you rescued me.
15 Kombet janë zhytur në gropën që kishin hapur; këmba e tyre është kapur në rrjetën që kishin fshehur.
[It is as though] the [wicked people of many] nations have dug a pit for me to fall into [MET], but they have fallen into that same pit. [It is as if] they spread out a net to catch me [MET], but their feet have been caught in that same net.
16 Zoti u bë i njohur me anë të gjykimit që ka dhënë; i pabesi u kap në lakun e veprës së duarve të tij. (Interlud, Sela)
Because of what you have done, people know that you decide matters [fairly/justly], but [you allow] wicked people to be trapped by the same evil things that they themselves do.
Wicked people will all [die and] be buried in their graves, and [their spirits] will go to be with all those who have (forgotten about/rejected) you. (Sheol h7585)
18 Sepse nevojtari nuk do të harrohet përjetë; shpresa e të shtypurve nuk do të zhduket përjetë.
But you will not forget those who are needy/poor; what they confidently expect will certainly happen.
19 Çohu, o Zot, mos lejo që vdekatari të ketë epërsi; kombet të gjykohen para teje.
Yahweh, arise and judge the [wicked] people of the nations; do not allow them to think that [because they are strong] they will never be punished.
20 O Zot, kallu frikën; bëj që kombet të pranojnë se janë vetëm vdekatarë. (Sela)
Yahweh, teach them to be terrified about you. Cause them to know that they are merely human beings.
