Psalmet 41
1 Lum ai që kujdeset për të varfërin; Zoti do ta çlirojë ditën e fatkeqësisë.
For the music director. A psalm of David. How happy are those who take care of the poor! When they are in trouble the Lord will save them.
2 Zoti do ta ruajë dhe do ta mbajë të gjallë; ai do të jetë i lumtur mbi tokë dhe ti nuk do ta lësh në duart e armiqve të tij.
The Lord protects them and keeps them alive. They will live happily in the land, and they will not be handed over to their enemies.
3 Zoti do ta ndihmojë në shtratin e sëmundjes; gjatë sëmundjes së tij, o Zot, ti do ta transformosh plotësisht shtratin e tij.
The Lord looks after them when they're sick; he makes them well from their illness.
4 Unë kam thënë: “O Zot, ki mëshirë për mua, ma shëro shpirtin, sepse kam mëkatuar kundër teje”.
“Lord, please be gracious to me,” I asked. “Please heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5 Armiqtë e mi ndjellin të keqen, duke thënë: “Kur do të vdesë dhe kur do të zhduket emri i tij?”.
Those who hate me only say evil things about me. “When is he going to die, and people forget all about him?” they ask.
6 Në rast se dikush prej tyre vjen të më shikojë, gënjen, ndërsa zemra e tij mbledh paudhësi; pastaj del jashtë dhe e përhap rreth e rrotull.
They come to visit me, but their sympathy is not sincere. They're only interested in the bad news, which they spread around as soon as they leave.
7 Të gjithë ata që më urrejnë, pëshpëritin bashkë kundër meje; kundër meje kurdisin të keqen,
All who hate me talk in whispers about my condition, hoping for the worst.
8 duke thënë: “Një e keqe e tmerrshme e ka zënë dhe ai nuk do të ngrihet kurrë më nga vendi ku dergjet”.
“He's been cursed with some terrible disease,” they say. “Now he's bed-ridden he'll never recover!”
9 Madje edhe miku im i ngushtë, tek i cili kisha besim dhe që hante bukën time, ka ngritur kundër meje thembrën e tij.
Even my best friend, the one I trusted, who shared meals with me—even he has turned against me.
10 Por ti, o Zot, ki mëshirë për mua dhe më ço në këmbë që të mund t’ua shpaguaj.
But you Lord, please be gracious to me, make me well so I can repay them!
11 Nga kjo e di që ti më pëlqen, në rast se armiku im nuk triumfon mbi mua.
I know you are pleased with me because you have not let my enemies win and shout in triumph over me.
12 Sa për mua, më ke përkrahur në ndershmërinë time dhe më ke vendosur në praninë tënde për gjithnjë.
You have supported me because of my integrity, you have brought me into your presence forever.
13 Qoftë i bekuar Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit, përjetë. Amen, amen.
