Psalmet 30
1 Do të të lëvdoj, o Zot, sepse ti më ngrite lart, dhe nuk i lejove armiqtë e mi të tallen me mua.
Yahweh, I praise you because you rescued me. You did not allow [me to die], [with the result that] my enemies could gloat/rejoice.
2 O Zot, Perëndia im, unë të kam klithur ty, dhe ti më ke shëruar.
Yahweh, my God, I called out for you to help [me when I was ill], and you healed me.
3 O Zot, ti e ke nxjerrë shpirtin tim jashtë Sheolit, më ke mbajtur gjallë që të mos zbrisja në gropë. (Sheol h7585)
You saved/restored me when I was dying [MTY]. I was nearly dead, but you caused me to get well again. (Sheol h7585)
4 I këndoni lavde Zotit, ju, shenjtorë të tij, dhe kremtoni shenjtërinë e tij,
All you who belong to Yahweh, sing praise to him! Think about what [God], the holy one, has done, and thank him!
5 sepse zemërimi im mban vetëm një çast, por mirësia e tij mban një jetë të tërë. Të qarat mund të vazhdojnë një natë, por në mëngjes shpërthen një britmë gëzimi.
When he becomes angry, he is angry for only a very short time [HYP], but he is good [to us] all of our life. We may cry during the night, but the next morning we will be joyful.
6 Kur kisha bollëk thoja: “Unë nuk do të prekem kurrë”.
As for me, when I had no troubles, I said [to myself], “No one will defeat me!”
7 O Zot, për hirin tënd e kishe fortësuar malin tim, ti e fshehe fytyrën tënde, dhe unë mbeta i trembur.
Yahweh, because you were good to me, at first you caused me to be safe [as though I was inside] [MET] a mountain. But then [I became ill, and I thought that] you had turned away from me, and I became afraid.
8 Unë të klitha ty, o Zot, iu luta fort Zotit,
[Then] I called out to you, and I pleaded for you [to help me].
9 duke thënë: “Çfarë dobie do të kesh nga gjaku im po të jetë se zbres në gropë? A mundet pluhuri të të kremtojë? A mundet ai të shpallë të vërtetën tënde?
[I said], “Yahweh, (what will you gain if I die?/ you won’t gain anything if I die) [MTY]. (In what way will it benefit you?/it won’t benefit you at all) if I go to the place where the dead people are [RHQ]. Dead people are certainly not able to praise you [RHQ], and they are not able to tell others that you are trustworthy [RHQ]!
10 Dëgjo, o Zot, dhe ki mëshirë për mua, o Zot, bëhu ti ndihma ime”.
Yahweh, listen to me, and be merciful to me! Yahweh, help me!”
11 Ti e ke kthyer vajtimin tim në valle; ma ke hequr grethoren dhe më ke mbushur me gëzim,
But [now you have healed me], and you have caused me to change from being sad to dancing [joyfully]. You have taken away the clothes that showed that I was very sad and you have given me clothes that showed that I was [very] joyful.
12 me qëllim që shpirti im të mund të të këndojë lavdi pa pushim. O Zot, Perëndia im, unë do të të kremtoj përjetë.
So I will not be silent; I will sing out [loudly] to praise you. Yahweh, you are my God, and I will thank you forever.
