Psalmet 29

1 I jepni Zotit, o bij të të fuqishmëve, i jepni Zotit lavdi dhe forcë.

A Melody of David. Give to Yahweh, ye sons of the mighty, —Give to Yahweh, [both] glory and strength:

2 I jepni Zotit lavdinë që i përket emrit të tij; adhuroni Zotin në shkëlqimin e shenjtërisë së tij.

Give to Yahweh, the glory of his Name, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness.

3 Zëri i Zotit është mbi ujërat; Perëndia i lavdisë gjëmon; Zoti është mbi ujërat e mëdha.

The voice of Yahweh, is upon the waters, —The GOD of glory, hath thundered, Yahweh, is upon mighty waters;

4 Zëri i Zotit është i fuqishëm, zëri i Zotit është i madhërishëm.

The voice of Yahweh, is with power, The voice of Yahweh, is with majesty;

5 Zëri i Zotit thyen kedrat; po, Zoti thyen kedrat e Libanit;

The voice of Yahweh, is breaking cedars, Now hath Yahweh, broken down, the cedars of Lebanon!

6 i bën të hidhen si një viç, Libanin dhe Sirionin, si një buall i ri.

And hath made them leap like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion, like the bull-calf of wild-oxen;

7 Zëri i Zotit çan flakët e zjarrit.

The voice of Yahweh, is cleaving out flames of fire;

8 Zëri i Zotit e bën shkretëtirën të dridhet; Zoti bën që të dridhet shkretëtira e Kadeshit.

The voice of Yahweh, bringeth birth-pains upon the wilderness; Yahweh bringeth birth-pains upon the wilderness of Kadesh!

9 Zëri i Zotit bën që të lindin sutat dhe i lë pyjet pa gjethe; dhe në tempullin e tij çdo gjë thotë: “Lavdi!”.

The voice of Yahweh, causeth the gazelles to bring forth, and hath stript forests; and, in his own temple, every one there, is saying, Glory!

10 Zoti rrinte ulur në fron përmbi përmbytjen; po, Zoti rri ulur si mbret në përjetësi.

Yahweh, at the Flood, was seated, And Yahweh hath taken his seat, as king, unto times age-abiding.

11 Zoti do t’i japë forcë popullit të tij; Zoti do të bekojë popullin e tij me paqe.

Yahweh, will give, strength to his people, —Yahweh, will bless his people with prosperity.
