Psalmet 148
1 Aleluja. Lëvdoni Zotin nga qiejtë, lëvdojeni në vendet shumë të larta.
Praise Yahweh! Praise him, from up in heaven; praise him from way up in the sky!
2 Lëvdojeni, ju të gjithë engjëjt e tij, lëvdojeni ju mbarë ushtritë e tij.
All you angels who belong to him, praise him! All you who are in the armies of heaven, praise him!
3 Lëvdojeni, o diell dhe hënë, lëvdojeni, ju mbarë yje të ndritshme.
Sun and moon, [you also] praise him! You shining stars, you praise him!
4 Lëvdojeni, ju qiej të qiejve, dhe ju ujëra përmbi qiejtë.
You highest heavens, praise him! And you waters that are high above the sky, praise him!
5 Tërë këto gjëra le të lëvdojnë emrin e Zotit, sepse ai dha urdhër dhe ato u krijuan.
I want [all of] these to praise Yahweh [MTY] because by commanding [them to exist], he created them.
6 Ai i ka vendosur përjetë, në përjetësi; por ka bërë një statut që nuk do të kalojë kurrë.
He determined the places where they should be [in the sky], and he commanded that they should be there forever. They cannot disobey that command!
7 Lëvdojeni Zotin nga toka, ju përbindësh të detit dhe mbarë oqeane,
And everything on the earth, praise Yahweh! You [huge] sea monsters and [everything else that is] deep [in the ocean],
8 zjarr dhe breshër, borë dhe re, ajër i shtrëngatës që zbaton urdhërat e tij,
and fire and hail, and snow and frost, and strong winds that obey what he commands, [I tell] all of you to praise Yahweh!
9 mbarë male dhe kodra, mbarë dru frutorë dhe kedra;
Hills and mountains, fruit trees and cedar [trees],
10 ju mbarë kafshë të egra dhe shtëpiake, rrëshqanorë dhe zogj me krahë;
all the wild animals and all [you] cattle, and the (reptiles/creatures that scurry across the ground), and [all] the birds, [I tell all of them to praise Yahweh]!
11 ju mbretër të dheut dhe mbarë popuj, princa dhe gjyqtarë të tokës;
You kings on this earth and all the people [that you rule], you princes and all [other] rulers,
12 të rinj dhe vajza, pleq dhe fëmijë.
you young men and young women, you old people and children, [everyone, praise Yahweh!]
13 Le të lëvdojnë emrin e Zotit, sepse vetëm emri i tij përlëvdohet. Lavdia e tij qëndron përmbi tokën dhe qiejtë.
I want them [all] to praise Yahweh [MTY] because he is greater than anyone else. His glory is greater than [anything on] the earth or [in] heaven.
14 Ai e ka rritur forcën e popullit të tij, një arsye kjo lëvdimi për të gjithë shenjtorët e tij, për bijtë e Izraelit, një popull i afërt për të. Aleluja.
He caused us, his people, to be strong in order that we, his people, we Israeli people (who are very precious to him/whom he loves very much), would praise him. So praise Yahweh!
