Psalmet 116

1 Unë e dua Zotin, sepse ai dëgjoi zërin tim dhe lutjet e mia.

I love Yahweh—because he heareth my voice, my supplications;

2 Duke qenë se e ka kthyer ndaj meje veshin e tij, unë do ta kërkoj në gjithë ditët e jetës sime.

Because he hath bowed down his ear unto me, therefore, throughout my days, will I call.

3 Vargonjtë e vdekjes më kishin rrethuar dhe ankthet e Sheolit më kishin pushtuar; fatkeqësia dhe dhembja më kishin vënë përfund. (Sheol h7585)

The meshes of death encompassed me, and the distresses of hades, came upon me, Peril and sorrow, I found; (Sheol h7585)

4 Atëherë i kërkova ndihmë Zotit: “O Zot, të lutem, më shpëto”.

But, on the Name of Yahweh, I called—I beseech thee, Yahweh, deliver my soul.

5 Zoti është i dhemshur dhe i drejtë, Perëndia ynë është i mëshirshëm.

Gracious is Yahweh and righteous, and, our God, is full of compassion.

6 Zoti mbron njerëzit e thjeshtë; unë isha katandisur në një gjendje të mjeruar, dhe ai më shpëtoi.

Yahweh, preserveth the simple, I was brought low, when, to me, he granted salvation.

7 Kthehu, o shpirti im, në prehjen tënde, sepse Zoti të mbushi me të mira.

Return, O my soul, to thy rest, For, Yahweh, hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 Po, sepse ti ke çliruar jetën time nga vdekja, sytë e mi dhe lotët dhe këmbët e mia nga rrëzimi.

For thou hast rescued my soul from death, —mine eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

9 Unë do të eci në prani të Zotit në tokën e të gjallëve.

I will walk to and fro before Yahweh, in the lands of life.

10 Unë kam besuar dhe prandaj flas. Unë isha shumë i pikëlluar,

I believed that I should speak, I, was greatly depressed.

11 dhe thoja gjatë përhumbjes sime: “Çdo njeri është gënjeshtar”.

I, said in mine alarm, All men, are false!

12 Ç’do t’i jap Zotit në këmbim të të gjitha të mirave që më ka bërë?

How shall I give back to Yahweh, All his benefits unto me?

13 Unë do të ngre kupën e shpëtimit dhe do të thërres emrin e Zotit.

The cup of salvation, will I lift, and, on the Name of Yahweh, will I call:

14 Do të plotësoj zotimet e mia ndaj Zotit në prani të të gjithë popullit të tij.

My vows—to Yahweh, will I pay, Might it be in presence of all his people!

15 Éshtë e çmueshme në sytë e Zotit vdekja e të shenjtëve të tij.

Costly in the eyes of Yahweh, is, death, for his men of lovingkindness.

16 Unë jam me të vërtetë shërbëtori yt, o Zot, jam shërbëtori yt, bir i shërbëtores sate; ti i këpute lidhjet e mia.

I beseech thee, O Yahweh—for, I, am thy servant, —I, am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid, Thou hast loosened my bonds.

17 Unë do të të ofroj një flijim falenderimi dhe do të përmend emrin e Zotit.

To thee, will I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and, on the Name of Yahweh, will I call:

18 Do t’i plotësoj zotimet e mia Zotit në prani të të gjithë popullit të tij,

My vows—to Yahweh, will I pay, Might it be in the presence of all his people; —

19 në oborret e shtëpisë së Zotit, në mesin tënd, o Jeruzalem. Aleluja.

In the courts of the house of Yahweh, In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye Yah!
