Psalmet 115

1 Jo neve, o Zot, jo neve, por emrit tënd jepi lavdi, për mirësinë tënde dhe për besnikërinë tënde.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us; but to thy name give glory.

2 Sepse do të thonë kombet: “Ku është tani Perëndia i tyre?”.

For thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake: lest the gentiles should say: Where is their God?

3 Por Perëndia ynë është në qiejtë dhe bën tërë atë që i pëlqejnë.

But our God is in heaven: he hath done all things whatsoever he would.

4 Idhujt e tyre janë argjend dhe ar, vepër e duarve të njeriut.

The idols of the gentiles are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.

5 kanë gojë por nuk flasin, kanë sy por nuk shohin,

They have mouths and speak not: they have eyes and see not.

6 kanë veshë por nuk dëgjojnë, kanë hundë por nuk nuhasin,

They have ears and hear not: they have noses and smell not.

7 kanë duar por nuk prekin, kanë këmbë por nuk ecin; me grykën e tyre nuk nxjerrin asnjë zë.

They have hands and feel not: they have feet and walk not: neither shall they cry out through their throat.

8 Njëlloj si ata janë ata që i bëjnë, tërë ata që u besojnë atyre.

Let them that make them become like unto them: and all such as trust in them.

9 O Izrael, ki besim tek Zoti! Ai është ndihma e tyre dhe mburoja e tyre.

The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.

10 O shtëpi e Aaronit, ki besim tek Zoti! Ai është ndihma e tyre dhe mburoja e tyre.

The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.

11 O ju që keni frikë nga Zoti; kini besim tek Zoti! Ai është ndihma e tyre dhe mburoja e tyre.

They that fear the Lord hath hoped in the Lord: he is their helper and their protector.

12 Zoti na kujtoi dhe do të na bekojë; po, ai do të bekojë shtëpinë e Izraelit dhe do të bekojë shtëpinë e Aaronit.

The Lord hath been mindful of us, and hath blessed us. He hath blessed the house of Israel: he hath blessed the house of Aaron.

13 Ai do të bekojë ata që kanë frikë nga Zoti, të vegjël dhe të mëdhenj.

He hath blessed all that fear the Lord, both little and great.

14 Zoti ju bëftë të rriteni, ju dhe bijtë tuaj.

May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your children.

15 Qofshin të bekuar nga Zoti, që ka bërë qiejtë dhe tokën.

Blessed be you of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

16 Qiejtë janë qiejtë e Zotit, por tokën ai ua ka dhënë bijve të njerëzve.

The heaven of heaven is the Lord’s: but the earth he has given to the children of men.

17 Nuk janë të vdekurit ata që lëvdojnë të Zotin, as ata që zbresin në vendin e heshtjes.

The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: nor any of them that go down to hell. (questioned)

18 Por ne do ta bekojmë Zotin, tani dhe përjetë. Aleluja.

But we that live bless the Lord: from this time now and for ever.
